    Measurement technique
    The data presented in this dataset is derived from the 20 years data of U.S. Census Bureau Population Estimates Program (PEP) 2000 - 2023. To measure the variables, namely (a) population and (b) population change in ( absolute and as a percentage ), we initially analyzed and tabulated the data for each of the years between 2000 and 2023.     About this dataset

    Context

    The dataset tabulates the Long Lake town population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of Long Lake town across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing. If there is a change, when the population peaked, or if it is still growing and has not reached its peak. We can also compare the trend with the overall trend of United States population over the same period of time.

    Key observations

    In 2023, the population of Long Lake town was 788, a 0.63% decrease year-by-year from 2022. Previously, in 2022, Long Lake town population was 793, an increase of 0.38% compared to a population of 790 in 2021. Over the last 20 plus years, between 2000 and 2023, population of Long Lake town decreased by 62. In this period, the peak population was 850 in the year 2000. It is ensured that the population estimates used in this dataset pertain exclusively to the identified racial categories, and do not rely on any ethnicity classification.     About this dataset

    Context

    The dataset tabulates the population of Long Lake town by race. It includes the population of Long Lake town across racial categories (excluding ethnicity) as identified by the Census Bureau. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population distribution of Long Lake town across relevant racial categories.

    Key observations

    The percent distribution of Long Lake town population by race (across all racial categories recognized by the U.S. Census Bureau): 86.33% are white, 4.78% are Black or African American, 1.82% are American Indian and Alaska Native, 4.56% are Asian, 2.28% are some other race and 0.23% are multiracial.

Ongoing data compilation is updated through both manual and automatic processing as part of the LTER Provenance Aware Synthesis Tracking Architecture (PASTA). The following dataset from Harvard Forest (HFR) contains human population (total) measurements in number units and were aggregated to a yearly timescale.

    The Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) performance data is an annual evaluation (semi-annual prior to 2022) of New York state-certified MLTC plans. Rates are calculated for each performance measure by plan and describe their population, quality of care, and enrollees’ satisfaction. These data also present the statewide demographic profile of MLTC enrollees and statewide rates of emergency room, hospital, and nursing home utilization. Refer to the Measures document to learn more about specific MLTC measures. In the future, as more evaluations are performed, measures can be trended over time. Refer to the Overview document for information on the data sources, time frames, and limitations of this dataset.

To measure the two variables, namely (a) Non-Hispanic population and (b) population as a percentage of the total Non-Hispanic population, we initially analyzed and categorized the data for each of the racial categories idetified by the US Census Bureau. It is ensured that the population estimates used in this dataset pertain exclusively to the identified racial categories, and are part of Non-Hispanic classification.     The dataset tabulates the Non-Hispanic population of Long Lake town by race. About this dataset

Context

The dataset tabulates the Long Lake town population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of Long Lake town across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing. If there is a change, when the population peaked, or if it is still growing and has not reached its peak. We can also compare the trend with the overall trend of United States population over the same period of time.

Key observations

In 2023, the population of Long Lake town was 788, a 0.63% decrease year-by-year from 2022. Previously, in 2022, Long Lake town population was 793, an increase of 0.38% compared to a population of 790 in 2021. Over the last 20 plus years, between 2000 and 2023, population of Long Lake town decreased by 62. In this period, the peak population was 850 in the year 2000.
