Lot and concession boundaries within the City of Kingston, Ontario, represented by polygons.

Contains lot, concession, and road allowance boundaries for Peel Region. Lots and concessions are a distinctive method of addressing, divided by concession roads (running North-South) and Lines/Sideroads (running East-West). This system is now typically only used in more rural settings, but was the original land division system as surveyed in the 1800s. Lot removal from the fabric is dictated by the Ontario Surveyor General. The geographic townships and lot information is still used for land administration (title) purposes. They are used as part of the legal description of the parcel. This dataset cannot replace a Plan of Survey. The townships, concessions and lots compromise the original township fabric of the Province. The spatial accuracy of the lot fabric for some townships has been improved through the Ontario Parcel, Township Realignment and Township Improvement projects. Improvements to the fabric may include: road allowance widths, spatial changes to better represent the location of lot boundaries, and more consistent concession names.NotesBoundaries along water bodies follow the shoreline as represented in the original plans prepared by the Crown. They may not match the current shoreline configuration or extent.Lots and right of way polygons have been split by Peel staff along current municipal boundaries for internal mapping and analysis purposes. Lot lines may not actually be split in such a way, legally.Lot Fabric, Improved Frequently Asked Questions (PDF)Lot Fabric, Improved - Data Description (PDF)Lot Fabric, Improved - Documentation (DOCX)

The Aggregate Resources of Ontario—2020 (or ARO—2020) is a GIS-based compilation of the aggregate resources of Ontario is based on data compiled from aggregate resources inventory mapping conducted by the Ontario Geological Survey (OGS) from 1980 to 2020. This compilation includes data updated from the previously published information and may include newer geological data and/or mapping, where the latter are available.

The Geochronology Inventory of Ontario (GeochrON) is a compilation of the geochronology information for Ontario and for adjacent jurisdictions with similar geology. The GeochrON provides an overview of isotopic ages obtained from rock samples from the province of Ontario and contains information on age, error, methods, rock type, sample number, location, geological environment, and the source of the information.
The Source Protection Information Atlas enables anyone to determine if an address is within a Source Protection Vulnerable Area. The map displays over 20 layers of Source Protection data for Ontario. The map uses a ESRI_GEOCORTEX API (Application Programming Interface). There are 4 vulnerable area types that surround municipal water supplies: Wellhead Protection Areas, Intake Protection Zones, Significant Groundwater Recharge Areas and Highly Vulnerable Aquifers. For details on the assessment reports and plans that contain definitions of these zones please click on one of these links. For access to the raw data contact the Conservation Authority for the jurisdiction you are interested in.

Under the source protection program, 19 source protection committees worked with conservation authorities and municipalities across Ontario to assess the vulnerability of sources of municipal drinking water. These assessments were documented in 38 local assessment reports that were approved by the ministry. The data collected from these reports form the foundation for the Source Water Protection Mapping Tool.
This interactive map allows you to search for a location in Ontario and determine if it is in a Source Protection vulnerable area. The map will show the location information, vulnerable zone type and score, as well as provide link(s) to local source protection plans where you can find the policies associated with the search location.
Searches can be performed by street address, geographic coordinates or several other search options listed in the help. Confirm the location by using the satellite imagery. Please note that searches by geographic coordinates (Lat. and Long) will return the most accurate results. Searches performed with a street address, postal code, municipality, lot, concession or township may require you to further refine the location by moving the pin to the accurate location based on your knowledge of the site. Please refer to the help (Primary Navigation Pane) for tips on searching, and the proper syntax of your searches.
Questions? If you have any questions on how to use the map, or are unable to find a location, contact the Source Protection Program by email at source.protection@ontario.ca.

Lake Geochemistry of Ontario (LakeGeochemON) is a compilation of lake geochemical data for Ontario. This compilation contains information for over 65 000 sample locations and 5.7 million geochemical analytical values and includes quality control (QC) data for blind duplicates and certified reference materials (CRMs). It is based on data compiled from 45 digital data releases (Miscellaneous Release—Data (MRDs)) published by the OGS between 1995 and 2018. It is intended that this compilation will be updated annually.
