WebLogis, Loudoun County's Online Mapping System. Provides access to the County’s Enterprise Geographic Information System data layers.

In September 2020, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors directed staff to document telecommunication projects completed, in-progress, and future projects, using the 2014 Wireless GAP Analysis and the Segra Dark Fiber Area Network. Staff mapped the data identified by the Board, as well as other information related to telecommunication projects. This information was then used to identify select unserved or underserved geographic areas of the county.The companion interactive map allows the user to turn on or off all layers used in the project.

Loudoun County annually obtains leaf-off, aerial imagery in the spring. Since 2004, the County has utilized this imagery to support the development of an annual digital orthophoto base. In 2021, the imagery was captured with a Vexcel Ultracam Eagle digital camera, in 4-band (R,G,B, and NIR) format. These files contain 1-foot ground-resolution, 8-bit, 4-band orthorectified aerial image map products in GeoTIFF version 6.0 file format. GeoTIFF files are uncompressed raster images complete with TFW coordinate information. The aerial imagery project encompasses the entire land area of the County of Loudoun, VA. The existing structures data source is Loudoun County VA, Office of Mapping & Geographic Information's (OMAGI) addressable structure layer for all of Loudoun County, VA. All residential uses, which includes Single Family, Multi-Family and Group Quarter uses, are specified and existing Commercial structures (Offices, Retail, Medical Offices, Data Centers, etc.) are combined into a single Non-Residential use. The other uses specifically identified are HOA (Home owner Association owned parcels), Miscellaneous (no employment generating), and Multi-Use (2 different uses), and Vacant (parcel with no land use).

This map provides the location of the original land grants within present day Loudoun County from the early 1700s to early 1800s. To view a list of sortable attributes of the information, please click on the Table button in the upper right corner of the map. For additional details, please visit here.

These are the original grantings of land within the Northern Neck Proprietary by Thomas, the 6th Lord of Fairfax and/or his agents until the mid 1780s during the settlement of Virginia. The map shows the approximate location of the original land grant as well as information on the grantee, the acreage of the grant (as calculated using the GIS), the year, and additional comments. The map is intended for historical reference only, as insufficient and incomplete original boundary surveys have resulted in potential inaccurate boundaries.

The original research for all of the land grants mapped in this application was completed by historian Wynne Saffer. They were originally mapped on USGS Quadrangles at a scale of 1:24000, then scanned to a digital file and the boundaries digitized by the Loudoun County Office of Mapping and Geographic Information staff.

The building point is where the structure is located. An addressable structure is one where people live, work, or gather. A 1 to 5-digit number designates an address. Purpose: The access point is used to assign an address to the structure. Addresses are also assigned to assist in the provision of emergency services; they can be queried at all Fire and Rescue stations and by E-911 dispatchers. Base Map data layers include planimetric (buildings, roads, miscellaneous cultural features), environmental (hydrology, forest cover), and topographic (elevation contours and spot heights) features. Each base map feature has an update date field associated with it which shows the year when that particular feature was last updated.

The countywide remapping project, conducted in two phases, was undertaken to produce the current data set. Phase I, using 2002 Virginia Base Mapping Program digital scanned imagery and Phase II, using 2004 scanned aerial photography, comprises the initial re-map effort. The initial project was completed in 2005 and now undergoes annual updates. The first annual update, Phase III, was​ derived from 2005 imagery and completed in fall 2006. The second annual update, Phase IV, was derived from 2007 imagery and completed in spring 2007. Phase V of the base map updates was completed in late 2008. Most recent updates were derived from 2020 imagery and completed in Spring 2021.

More MetadataThis layer depicts the 1 mile subdivsion control area around the Town of Hamilton and the Town of Middleburg, as established by Section 1241.03 of the Land Subdivision and Development Ordinance. The Town of Purcellville subdivision control area ceased to exist upon dissolution of the Purcellville Urban Growth Area Management Plan (PUGAMP) and the Town of Purcellville/County of Loudoun Annexation Agreement in 2013. The control area around the Town of Hamilton is based on the map prepared by the County of Loudoun entitled "Parcels within 1 mile of Hamilton" and the control area around the Town of Middleburg is based on the map prepared by the County of Loudoun entitled "Town of Middleburg One Mile Subdivision Control Limit".

Sidewalks, trails, and shared use paths are mapped in house by Loudoun County Office of Mapping and Geographic staff using existing base map planimetric data, aerial imagery, and a limited amount of GPS work (primarily for trails). Data was last updated referencing 2021 basemap/imagery. Shared Use Path and Sidewalk widths are approximate. All width measurements are subject to verification.

The Loudoun County Existing Development Tool map is an interactive tool that contains a variety of existing conditions only data that are developed and maintained by the Department of Planning and Zoning. It is strongly encouraged that you refer to the help document before using the tool and it is best used on a tablet or desktop. It provides access to existing land use conditions for parcels and structures and development within both residential and non-residential projects. Please refer to the As Of date with each layer to determine how current the data is.
