The "mtg-data" dataset is a collection of prompts and responses related to Magic: The Gathering (MTG), a popular collectible card game. The dataset contains various types of question and answer pairs, including official rulings as responses and corresponding questions generated by GPT-3.5, Q&A data scraped from the web, glossary terms alongside their descriptions, and official rules formatted into Q/A pairs. This dataset contains all 25,663 MtG cards found on scryfall.com.
The data is contained in a json file as it is returned by the scryfall api.

There is loads of data which does not necessarily describe what's on the card itself but price data as well as whether it's legal in certain types of games or not.

Context

Im studing Data Science and Web Scraping, and also im a Magic Player. I was looking for projects that help me improve my skills and this is one of the projects that I thought. At first I just wanted to pull the data from the web, but at the same time I learned how to transform the data and work with it, so here I am.

In the main file (cards.csv) there are all the relevant data (less the cost of the cards, i had some problems here hehe) for each card ever created in the trading cards game Magic: The Gathering (except duplicates cards), Name, Type, Descriptions, Stats (Damage and Defense), the card's collection and a link than redirect you to the card page on the site 'https://scryfall.com/'
