    In 2023, the category of electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers, television image and sound recorders and reproducers, and parts and accessories of such articles ranked first among goods imported in Mexico, with a value of approximately 121 billion U.S. dollars. In comparison, organic chemicals, a category which ranked tenth among Mexican imports, accounted for about 11 billion U.S. dollars out of the 598 billion U.S. dollars' worth of goods imported that year. In terms of main exported commodities from Mexico, vehicles other than railway or tramway rolling stock ranked first.
