This data set consists of a detailed digital map of the areal extent of fields and a summary of the irrigated acreage for the 2018 growing season developed for Manatee County, Florida. Selected attribute data that include crop type, irrigation system, and primary water source were collected for each irrigated field.

This data set contains polygons representing parks, preserves and other managed lands of Manatee County, FL. The data for this layer is provided by the Manatee County Parks Dept and the Manatee County Conservation Lands Dept.

The Florida Department of Revenue’s Property Tax Oversight(PTO) program collects parcel level Geographic Information System (GIS) data files every April from all of Florida’s 67 county property appraisers’ offices. This GIS data was exported from these file submissions in August 2025. The GIS parcel polygon features have been joined with thereal property roll (Name – Address – Legal, or NAL)file. No line work was adjusted between county boundaries.The polygon data set represents the information property appraisers gathered from the legal description on deeds, lot layout of recorded plats, declaration of condominium documents, recorded and unrecorded surveys.Individual parcel data is updated continually by each county property appraiser as needed. The GIS linework and related attributions for the statewide parcel map are updated annually by the Department every August. The Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) Database depicts flood risk information and supporting data used to develop the risk data. The primary risk classifications used are the 1-percent-annual-chance flood event, the 0.2-percent-annual-chance flood event, and areas of minimal flood risk. The DFIRM Database is derived from Flood Insurance Studies (FISs), previously published Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), flood hazard analyses performed in support of the FISs and FIRMs, and new mapping data, where available. The FISs and FIRMs are published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The file is georeferenced to earth's surface using the UTM projection and coordinate system.The specifications for the horizontal control of DFIRM data files are consistent with those required for mapping at a scale of 1:12,000.

This feature class contains the centerline of travel path of NAMED roadway segments in Manatee County, Florida. This data set represents the location of Manatee County's road centerline network as captured from digital orthophotography (from SWFWMD contract) and site addressing plans from Manatee County's Address Coordinator. The feature class is attributed with street name, address ranges and other information. The street centerline feature class is maintained by Manatee County GIS on a weekly basis and is used for many of Manatee County's mapping products including the county's 9-1-1 dispatch map.

Most surveys are conducted from small, four-seat, high-winged airplanes (Cessna 172 or 182) flying at a height of 500-1000 ft at a speed of 70-90 kts. Small helicopters may be used instead of fixed wing aircraft in urban areas or where waters are particularly opaque and hovering may be required. Flights are usually four to six hours long and are most commonly flown every two weeks for two years. The surveys are designed to maximize the manatee counts by concentrating on shallow nearshore waters around the state where manatees and their primary food source, sea grasses, are located. Flight paths curve parallel to the shoreline, and the airplane circles when manatees are spotted until a count of the number of animals in each group is obtained. Offshore waters are usually not surveyed. Dolphin and sea turtle sightings are recorded opportunistically. All aerial data are recorded on paper maps and entered into a GIS shapefile for spatial analysis. GIS is a computer software system for representing data spatially and for conducting spatial analyses. This dataset includes manatee sightings from 24 surveys flown on the following dates: 5 Oct 2018, 29 Oct 2018, 7 Nov 2018, 26 Nov 2018, 11 Dec 2018, 18 Dec 2018, 10 Jan 2019, 16 Jan 2019, 22 Feb 2019, 28 Feb 2019, 7 Mar 2019, 26 Mar 2019, 11 Apr 2019, 24 Apr 2019, 15 May 2019, 23 May 2019, 12 Jun 2019, 26 Jun 2019, 16 Jul 2019, 23 Jul 2019, 6 Aug 2019, 21 Aug 2019, 25 Sep 2019, and 30 Sep 2019. FWC staff members were observers for these flights, and dual observers (two observers, one in the front seat and one in the rear seat) were present on some or all of survey flights. The survey area included Indian River County from the Sebastian Inlet to approximately the Indian River County/St. Lucie County border.

The survey area includes the northern Collier County border south along the coast to Morgan Point and continuing back north to the Collier border.

This parcel layer is derived by the Manatee County GIS by dissolving the Property Appraiser's Parcels by parcel Id number and adding additional information. These parcels contain CAMA data as well as other GIS data.

FWC staff members were observers for these flights. The survey area includes the western half of Duval County, with emphasis on the many tributaries of the St. Johns River. It extended south into St. Johns and Clay counties to Black Creek. The survey route included the Trout, Ribault, Arlington, Ceder, and Ortega rivers; Pottsburg, Black, Durbin, and Julington creeks; Doctor’s lake; and portions of the St. Johns River between tributaries, from the Trout River to Green Cove Springs.

The USA provided policies in the Manatee County Comprehensive Plan that were written to encourage redevelopment, infill and clarification that development would be reviewed against all policies of the Comprehensive Plan. This digital elevation model (DEM) is a part of a series of DEMs produced for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Coastal Services Center's Sea Level Rise and Coastal Flooding Impacts Viewer. The DEMs created for this project were developed using the NOAA National Weather Service's Weather Forecast Office (WFO) boundaries. Because the WFO boundaries can cover large areas, the WFO DEM was divided into smaller DEMs to ensure more manageable file sizes. The Tampa (FL) WFO DEM was split into two smaller DEMs. They are divided along county lines and are: 1. Tampa (FL) WFO - Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough Counties 2. Tampa (FL) WFO - Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, and Lee CountiesThis is Tampa Bay file 2 of 2. This metadata record describes the DEM for Tampa (FL) WFO - Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, and Lee Counties. The DEM includes the best available lidar data known to exist at the time of DEM creation for the coastal areas of Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, and Lee counties, that met project specifications.The DEM is derived from LiDAR datasets collected for the Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM) and the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD). The FDEM LiDAR data for Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and Lee Counties was collected in 2007 and 2008. Small portions of Manatee and Charlotte Counties were collected in 2005. Hydrographic breaklines used in the creation of the DEM were obtained from FDEM and SWFWMD. In some cases, the National Wetlands Inventory and National Hydrography Dataset were used to supplement breaklines from FDEM and SWFWMD. The DEMs are hydro flattened such that water elevations are less than or equal to 0 meters.The DEM is referenced vertically to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) with vertical units of meters and horizontally to the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83). The resolution of the DEM is approximately 5 meters.The NOAA Coastal Services Center has developed high-resolution digital elevation models (DEMs) for use in the Center's Sea Level Rise And Coastal Flooding Impacts internet mapping application. These DEMs serve as source datasets used to derive data to visualize the impacts of inundation resulting from sea level rise along the coastal United States and its territories.The dataset is provided "as is," without warranty to its performance, merchantable state, or fitness for any particular purpose. The entire risk associated with the results and performance of this dataset is assumed by the user. This dataset should be used strictly as a planning reference and not for navigation, permitting, or other legal purposes.

This GIS data set represents the state of Florida manatee protection areas as described in the Florida Administrative Code (FAC) Chapter 68C-22. This data set represents only the manatee protection areas for six counties (Brevard, Collier, Hillsborough, Lee, Sarasota, and Volusia) as published effective 6/24/2002. FWC-ISM staff originally digitized these areas using the 1:40,000 scale shoreline as the base shoreline, but also heads-up digitized corrections to the shoreline in ArcMap using the 1999 DOQQ's as a backdrop where 1:40,000 shoreline was not accurate enough. This process was completed in December 2004. These state of Florida manatee protection zones may differ from manatee protections zones created by City or County authorities and/or the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
