    Description

The broadband map gives an overview of the coverage of modern telecommunications networks in Switzerland. The coverage situation is shown in the form of statistical data per grid square (250 x 250 metres). The map shows the number of buildings in which access is offered over an optical fibre connection (in percent of building connections according to data from the Swiss Federal Statistical Office). The optical fibre connection extends at least as far as the building (Fibre To The Building FTTB). In some cases the optical fibre connection is brought into the home/business (Fibre To The Home FTTH) via internal cabling. However, this information cannot be shown on this map. Representation of the coverage situation is purely indicative. The actual coverage situation should be determined by making enquiries with the service providers. In this respect, please see the additional information on the 'Number of connection providers' map.

    Description

This dataset can be used to assess the approximate location of "Fiber-To-The-Home" (FTTH) internet service along Vermont roadways.

The data set was built using the VT Data - E911 Road Centerlines and service availability information voluntarily shared by fiber providers in Vermont. Routes represented here are a subset of the total E911 Roadway Centerline line segments. Here is the REST endpoint.

Data is collected and collated from Vermont's fiber providers by PSD-Telecom. Each year, PSD-T requests data from internet service providers regarding the service routes for that organization. The State of Vermont cannot make any claims as to the accuracy or completeness of the data provided to the state by providers. The data is combination of provider-shared route maps and address-level service data. In each case, E911 road centerline data near those lines or points are selected to create this dataset.

Data from these sources was accessed and collected in the summer of 2024. Projects of new construction begun at or around that time may not be available on this map.

Please note, in some cases there may be discontinuous line segments in the dataset. Due to the process by which this dataset is made and the information from providers, there may be some stand-alone roadway sections. This route data does not indicate service availability.

Cartefibre.arcep.fr is Arcep's**map tool** which aims to improve information for the general public and professionals on fibre-to-the-subscriber deployments. It is part of the high and very high-speed fixed broadband observatory set up by the Authority. The monitoring of deployments on the fixed broadband and superfast broadband market is the result of the quarterly "Wholesale HD/THD Observatory" collection under Decisions No 2018-0170 and No 2023-0981. ### Published data: All the data published on cartefibre.arcep.fr is also available in open-data below in 6 separate resources. 5 of them are updated every quarter (YYYY: year, TT: quarter): - AAAATT-obs-hd-thd-deployment: spreadsheet presenting in several tabs - developments in unbundling and the wholesale market - the evolution of eligibility and subscriptions on very high-speed networks (breakdown by large areas) - the evolution of the number of copper accesses sold on the wholesale market - the evolution of the number of FTTH connectable premises (breakdown by large areas and infrastructure operators) - the evolution of the wholesale market in civil engineering - the evolution of the number of FTTH connectable rooms (disaggregation with different geographical meshes) - AAAATT-Department: departmental map file including the volume of FTTH connectable premises. - AAAATT-Commune: municipal map file including the volume of FTTH connectable premises, the infrastructure operators present and the area of deployment. - AAAATT-Building: text file listing all the buildings identified by the infrastructure operators. - AAAATT-ZAPM:map file delimiting the contours of the rear areas of the PM. Two other resources are updated on an ad hoc basis, in the event of changes in the corresponding zoning, and dated per year or quarter of publication (YYYY: year, TT: quarter): - YYYY - Geographical survey - underlying data: Spreadsheet file showing the geographical survey of deployments of electronic communications networks - AAAATT-Iris: Map file showing the spatial division of the regulatory zoning defined by Arcep des Zones très densees (ZTD) into low- and high-density pockets (based on IRIS). More details about the data, formats and projection systems can be found in the descriptions associated with each of these resources. ### Calendar of publications Find the publications calendar of Arcep. ### Glossary: - Building: means a building of individual or collective type. - Locations: Buildings contain premises (housing and professional establishments). The estimate of the number of premises within each building is based on the IPE files provided by infrastructure operators (IOs) and on data provided by INSEE from 2018 - PM: Point of mutualisation. - Local FTTH connector: A room is considered connectable if the building is "deployed" and the PM is "deployed".
