    Description

The International Hydrogeological Map of Europe, scale 1:1,500,000 is a series of general hydrogeological maps comprising 25 map sheets with explanatory notes, covering the whole European continent and parts of the Near East. The national contributions to this map series were compiled by hydrogeologists and experts in related sciences of the countries concerned under the auspices of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) and its Commission on Hydrogeological Maps (COHYM). The project is supported by the Commission for the Geological Map of the World (CGMW).The scientific editorial work is supported financially by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR) and by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). These organizations are responsible for the cartography, printing and publication of the map sheets and explanatory notes. The series of hydrogeological maps seeks to represent the hydrogeological setting of Europe as a whole without regard to political boundaries. Together with the information presented in the accompanying explanatory notes, the map can be used for scientific purposes, for large-scale regional planning and as a basis for detailed hydrogeological mapping.

This map provides a colorized representation of slope, generated dynamically using server-side slope function on the Terrain layer. The degree of slope steepness is depicted by light to dark colors - flat surfaces as gray, shallow slopes as light yellow, moderate slopes as light orange and steep slopes as red-brown. A scaling is applied to slope values to generate appropriate visualization at each map scale. This service should only be used for visualization, such as a base layer in applications or maps. Note: If access to non-scaled slope values is required, use the Slope Degrees or Slope Percent functions, which return values from 0 to 90 degrees, or 0 to 1000%, respectively.Units: DegreesUpdate Frequency: QuarterlyCoverage: World/GlobalData Sources: This layer is compiled from a variety of best available sources from several data providers. To see the coverage and extents of various datasets comprising this service in an interactive map, see World Elevation Coverage Map.What can you do with this layer?Use for Visualization: Yes. This colorized slope is appropriate for visualizing the steepness of the terrain at all map scales. This layer can be added to applications or maps to enhance contextual understanding. Use for Analysis: No. 8 bit color values returned by this service represent scaled slope values. For analysis with non-scaled values, use the Slope Degrees or Slope Percent functions. For more details such as Data Sources, Mosaic method used in this layer, please see the Terrain layer. This layer allows query, identify, and export image requests. The layer is restricted to a 5,000 x 5,000 pixel limit in a single export image request.

This layer is part of a larger collection of elevation layers that you can use to perform a variety of mapping analysis tasks.

    Description

This database was prepared using a combination of materials that include aerial photographs, topographic maps (1:24,000 and 1:250,000), field notes, and a sample catalog. Our goal was to translate sample collection site locations at Yellowstone National Park and surrounding areas into a GIS database. This was achieved by transferring site locations from aerial photographs and topographic maps into layers in ArcMap. Each field site is located based on field notes describing where a sample was collected. Locations were marked on the photograph or topographic map by a pinhole or dot, respectively, with the corresponding station or site numbers. Station and site numbers were then referenced in the notes to determine the appropriate prefix for the station. Each point on the aerial photograph or topographic map was relocated on the screen in ArcMap, on a digital topographic map, or an aerial photograph. Several samples are present in the field notes and in the catalog but do not correspond to an aerial photograph or could not be found on the topographic maps. These samples are marked with “No” under the LocationFound field and do not have a corresponding point in the SampleSites feature class. Each point represents a field station or collection site with information that was entered into an attributes table (explained in detail in the entity and attribute metadata sections). Tabular information on hand samples, thin sections, and mineral separates were entered by hand. The Samples table includes everything transferred from the paper records and relates to the other tables using the SampleID and to the SampleSites feature class using the SampleSite field.

    Description

Geologic-Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data related to Appalachian National Scenic Trail is delivered in a data package Zip (.zip) file. These data are a product of the NPS Geologic Resources Inventory (GRI) program, which is funded by the Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) Division and administered by the NPS Geologic Resources Division (GRD).Geologic-GIS data for Appalachian National Scenic Trail consists of geologic map footprints of available maps that intersect the 7.5’ quadrangles of interest (QOI) for the park. Each footprint depicts the respective map’s extent and contains information conveying map name, scale, publication year and type. The footprints are joined using a footprint ID as a key to a standalone table that contains a formal map reference, a Boolean showing if GIS data is available, additional map notes, and a URL link t o where the map can be downloaded, if available. Geologic-GIS map footprints are provided in ESRI file geodatabase format supported by a Pro 3.X map (.mapx) file. The Pro 3.x map displays the footprint data in thematic layers categorizing and symbolizing the footprints by publication year, map type, and scale.

    Description

The MAPS dataset is one of the most used benchmark dataset for automatic music transcription. We propose here an updated version of the ground truth MIDI files, containing, on top of the original pitch, onset and offsets, additional annotations.

    The annotations include:

    • Tempo curve

    • Time signature

    • Durations of notes in fraction of a quarter note (some of them are approximate)

    • Key signature (always written as the major relative)

    • Sustain pedal activation

    • Separate left and right hand staff

    • Text annotations from the score (tempo indications, coda...).

If you use these annotations in a published research project, please cite:
