This feature class provides the different zones within the Meadowlands District. This data is current as of January 2003.

This feature class has been created in order to have the most recent data for land use planning, engineering and to assist GIS and other professionals view the various zones in the Meadowlands.

This dataset contains the boundaries of New Jersey's Smart Growth Areas. This metadata mainly describes the elements derived from elements of the NJ State Development and Redevelopment Plan mapping, along with mapping from the NJ Pinelands Commission, and the Meadowlands Commission. See the metadata for the Pinelands Management Areas or the Meadowlands for specific information concerning their geographic areas.

The data contained with this GIS layer can be found on the NJTPA County Profile Application. The data contains information ranging from population, race, means of travel, and other items dealing with environmental justice and transportation. Sources of the data are from the following: US Census, 2010; American Community Survey, 2011-2015; NJTPA, 2015; NJDEP, Highlands, Meadowlands, & Pinelands, 2007; NJDOT, 2009; NJ TRANSIT, 2011.The data is updated once new American Community Survey data is added to the American Factfinder web application.
