    Description

This dataset is part of a dataset series that establishes an ecosystem service maps (national scale) for a set of services prioritised through stakeholder consultation and any intermediate layers created by Environment Systems Ltd in the cause of the project. The individual dataset resources in the datasets series are to be considered in conjunction with the project report: https://www.npws.ie/research-projects/ecosystems-services-mapping-and-assessment The project provides a National Ecosystem and Ecosystem Services (ES) map for a suite of prioritised services to assist implementation of MAES (Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystems and their services) in Ireland. This involves stakeholder consultation for identification of services to be mapped, the development of a list of indicators and proxies for mapping, as well as an assessment of limitations to ES mapping on differing scales (Local, Catchment, Region, National, EU) based on data availability. Reporting on data gaps forms part of the project outputs. The project relied on the usage of pre-existing data, which was also utilised to create intermediate data layers to aid in ES mapping. For a full list of the data used throughout the project workings, please refer to the project report.

Spatial data from Schulp et al., 2014. Uncertainties in ecosystem service maps: A comparison on the European scale. PloS ONE 9, e109643. Safeguarding the benefits that ecosystems provide to society is increasingly included as a target in international policies. To support such policies, ecosystem service maps are made. However, there is little attention for the accuracy of these maps. We made a systematic review and quantitative comparison of ecosystem service maps on the European scale to generate insights in the uncertainty of ecosystem service maps and discuss the possibilities for quantitative validation. This data package contains maps of the ecosystem services climate regulation, erosion protection, flood regulation, pollination, and recreation. For each service, a map of the average supply according to all analyzed maps is included, as well as a map of the uncertainty of the service. The data package contains a detailed read-me.

This map shows the access to mental health providers in every county and state in the United States according to the 2024 County Health Rankings & Roadmaps data for counties, states, and the nation. It translates the numbers to explain how many additional mental health providers are needed in each county and state. According to the data, in the United States overall there are 319 people per mental health provider in the U.S. The maps clearly illustrate that access to mental health providers varies widely across the country. The data comes from this County Health Rankings 2024 layer. An updated layer is usually published each year, which allows comparisons from year to year. This map contains layers for 2024 and also for 2022 as a comparison.County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R), a program of the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute with support provided by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, draws attention to why there are differences in health within and across communities by measuring the health of nearly all counties in the nation. This map's layers contain 2024 CHR&R data for nation, state, and county levels. The CHR&R Annual Data Release is compiled using county-level measures from a variety of national and state data sources. CHR&R provides a snapshot of the health of nearly every county in the nation. A wide range of factors influence how long and how well we live, including: opportunities for education, income, safe housing and the right to shape policies and practices that impact our lives and futures. Health Outcomes tell us how long people live on average within a community, and how people experience physical and mental health in a community. Health Factors represent the things we can improve to support longer and healthier lives. They are indicators of the future health of our communities. Some example measures are:Life ExpectancyAccess to Exercise OpportunitiesUninsuredFlu VaccinationsChildren in PovertySchool Funding AdequacySevere Housing Cost BurdenBroadband AccessTo see a full list of variables, definitions and descriptions, explore the Fields information by clicking the Data tab here in the Item Details of this layer. For full documentation, visit the Measures page on the CHR&R website. Notable changes in the 2024 CHR&R Annual Data Release:Measures of birth and death now provide more detailed race categories including a separate category for ‘Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander’ and a ‘Two or more races’ category where possible. Find more information on the CHR&R website.Ranks are no longer calculated nor included in the dataset. CHR&R introduced a new graphic to the County Health Snapshots on their website that shows how a county fares relative to other counties in a state and nation. Data Processing:County Health Rankings data and metadata were prepared and formatted for Living Atlas use by the CHR&R team. 2021 U.S. boundaries are used in this dataset for a total of 3,143 counties. Analytic data files can be downloaded from the CHR&R website.

The market size in 2025 is estimated at $15.49 billion, projecting a significant expansion over the forecast period (2025-2033). While the provided CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) is missing, considering the rapid technological advancements and increasing adoption of autonomous driving technologies, a conservative estimate would place the CAGR between 15% and 20% for the forecast period. This growth is fueled by several key factors, including the increasing accuracy and detail offered by HD maps compared to traditional maps, enabling safer and more efficient navigation for autonomous vehicles. The market is segmented by type (centralized vs. crowdsourced mapping) and application (autonomous vehicles, ADAS, others), with autonomous vehicles currently dominating the market share due to their critical reliance on precise and up-to-date map data. Major players like TomTom, Google, HERE Technologies, and Baidu Apollo are heavily investing in research and development, fostering innovation and competition within the market. Regional growth is expected to be geographically diverse, with North America and Europe leading the initial adoption, followed by a rapid expansion in the Asia-Pacific region driven by significant investments in autonomous vehicle infrastructure and technological advancements. The competitive landscape is characterized by both established map providers and technology giants entering the market. This intense competition is pushing innovation forward, leading to more accurate, detailed, and frequently updated HD maps. Challenges include the high cost of creating and maintaining HD maps, the need for continuous data updates to reflect dynamic road conditions, and data privacy concerns surrounding the collection and use of location data. Despite these challenges, the long-term outlook for the HD Maps market remains incredibly positive, fueled by the continuous advancement of autonomous driving technology and the increasing demand for improved road safety and traffic management solutions. The market's growth trajectory suggests significant opportunities for both established players and emerging companies in the years to come. We project a substantial increase in market size by 2033, exceeding the 2025 figures by a considerable margin, based on the estimated CAGR.
