This dataset represents the cadastral maps created by the Geomatics branch in support of real property acquisitions within the Department of Water Resources. The geographic extent of each map frame was created after using all the spatial attributes available in each map to appropriately georeference it and create the extents from the outer frame of the map. The maps were digitally scanned from the original paper format that were archived after moving to the new resources building. As new maps are created by the branch for real property acquisition services, they will be georeference, attributed and updated into this dataset. The associated data are considered DWR enterprise GIS data, which meet all appropriate requirements of the DWR Spatial Data Standards, specifically the DWR Spatial Data Standard version 3.6, dated September 27, 2023. DWR makes no warranties or guarantees either expressed or implied as to the completeness, accuracy, or correctness of the data. DWR neither accepts nor assumes liability arising from or for any incorrect, incomplete, or misleading subject data. Original internal source projection for this dataset was Teale Albers/NAD83. Descriptive elements contain lettering (parcel numbers, geographical names etc.), map symbols (symbols of nature of land use etc.) and lines (boundaries of protected zones etc.). Some information of digital map is omitted during the data conversion into SHP format (information on point number, quality code linked to planimetry points, line symbols etc.). Government Land Office maps (GLOs) are a result of the effort to survey all United States public lands before settlement. Starting in 1812 land was divided into square six mile blocks called townships, then subdivided into sections and ranges. Each subdivided area was surveyed and given its own map or GLO. During this process surveyors were required to indicate cultural resources such as roads and Indian trails and standardized symbols were used to represent geographic features. These GLOs are now maintained by the Bureau of Land Management as part of the official Land Status and Cadastral Survey records. As land was divided into parcels of individual ownership additional cadastral survey maps were created over time. For this reason there are often multiple GLOs or "cadastral survey maps" for one township / range, generally numbered one through four. For this seamless GLO layer, DAHP focused solely on the more historical GLOs which were usually listed as image number one or two for that specific township / range in the BLM Cadastral Survey records. In some cases no GLOs were available for review. Such areas included National Forest Lands, National Parks, Indian Reservations, and remote wilderness areas.

This data set contains a shapefile of a digitized map of the land parcel information of the original properties of the Uruara colonization site, Para, Brazil, acquired from the Instituto de Colonizacao e Reforma Agraria, or the Colonization and Agrarian Reform Institute (INCRA). The Uruara settlement geometry was initially designed by INCRA, and consists of mostly 100 hectare lots (400 x 2500 meters, and 500 x 2000 meters), running north and south of the Trans-Amazon Highway, as a fine network of small, narrow rectangles. The other parcels in the landscape are the so-called glebas that range up to 3,000 hectares.

The map was in the form of a paper map without a projection (a spherical geographic coordinate system) in the South American 1969 datum (SAD 1969). This paper map was digitized in Environmental Science Research Institute (ESRI) ArcInfo 8.1 using a digitizing table, and the digital cadastral data were geo-referenced and projected to match the Universal Transverse Mercator projection (Zone 22 South, World Geodetic System 1984 datum) of Landsat imagery (Landsat.org). There is one compressed (*.zip) file with this data set.

Index map page boundaries of the Mat-Su Borough Tax Map Page Index. The entire Borough is divided into a series of "base maps" and "index" or "grid maps". Base maps are given names that represent the geographical area represented (similar to USGS quad mapping) and index maps are numbered sequentially within the base map. The result is a base map with a two-character name (for example: ("WA" for Wasilla) and numbered index maps (usually numbered "1" thru "16"). The Mat-Su Borough tax map set is published using these pages.

View service (WMS), which enables viewing of cadastral map both in digital and analogue form. For analogue form georeferenced scaned maps (raster form) and centroids of parcels are displayed, furthermore it enables to display layer of approved survey sketches. The service is publicly available, free-of-charge and covers the whole territory of the Czech Republic. The service fulfils the OGC WMS 1.1.1 and 1.3.0 standards.
