This dataset contain the parcels from the Maricopa County Assessor's office. The area covered is in Maricopa County (Phoenix metro area), Arizona. Major cities include Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa and Tempe. Various types of property usage are depicted in this layer. The most common are residential, commericial, industrial and agricultural properties. Multiple sources were used to collect the information including but not limitied to CAD packages, aerial photography, and digitizing from paper maps. Adjustments are made where necessary in the process of updating and some parcel lines are only approximate. In cases where a line adjustment might create a loss of landsize it is typically taken out from the right of way to minimize the loss of landsize in the property. The line symbology for different property lines are not available in this dataset. In addition to standard fields the data has unique assessor parcel number for identification, basic temporal information and the location of property.

Displays parcel polygons with Maricopa County Assessor parcel number within the City of Mesa. Can be used for a variety of displays and analysis; legally defined areas, taxation purposes, etc.
Parcels are identified by an Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) consisting of a three digit Book number, a two digit Map number, a three digit Item number, possibly a Split letter. This dataset contains all active parcels within the area encompassed by Book Series 100. State and Federal lands are not represented. Vertical parcels are annotated using the Floor field.

The Ecological Survey of Central Arizona (ESCA) is an extensive field survey and integrated inventory designed to capture key ecological indicators of the CAP LTER study area consisting of the urbanized, suburbanized, and agricultural areas of metropolitan Phoenix, and the surrounding Sonoran desert. The survey is conducted every five years at approximately 200 sample plots (30m x 30m) that were located randomly using a tessellation-stratified dual-density sampling design. Study plots cover habitats throughout the CAP LTER study area ranging from native Sonoran desert sites to residential yards to an airport tarmac. In 2010, the survey was expanded to include an assessment of residential parcels overlapping the survey plot at sites in residential areas. Many of the same variables that are measured in the 30m x 30m survey plot are measured in the parcel, including an inventory of perennial plants, and the biovolume of trees. In addition, a detailed assessment of characteristics of the parcel is performed. Investigators interested in data from the broader Ecological Survey of Central Arizona that includes all survey plots should should search the data catalog for 'ecological survey of central arizona' or 'survey 200' to locate those and other data related to the CAP LTER's ESCA.
This service hosts the Building Landmark Inventory (BLI) database developed by the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) and the MAG member agencies. The data are a collection of points that encompass notable locations in Maricopa County. The data were geocoded and manually moved to the actual feature represented by the point. An APN was assigned, allowing for there to be linkage between BLI points and Assessor parcels. Initial data provided after research and collection by Applied Economics. Data were reviewed and enhanced, as needed, using various online data sources. Locations were confirmed using the most recent aerial imagery available to MAG. In some cases, when information was difficult to obtain or confirm, phone calls were placed to confirm location and details about entity. Schools were geocoded by MAG and assigned an Assessor Parcel Number. If an APN wasnt assigned to a schools point, then the schools point was manually moved to the correct parcel.

The Existing Land Use (EXLU) dataset represents land use in Maricopa and Pinal Counties, Arizona. This dataset was created as a joint effort of MAG and MAG member agency staff. This dataset serves as a land use inventory and is used for a variety of planning purposes including socioeconomic forecasting and air quality modeling. Because of the level of generalization involved in creating this dataset, land use boundaries may not be accurate representations of ground conditions if used at small scales. These data were developed primarily from assessor parcel data collected in January 2021 for Maricopa County and October 2020 for Pinal County.
