    Description

This dataset contain the parcels from the Maricopa County Assessor's office. The area covered is in Maricopa County (Phoenix metro area), Arizona. Major cities include Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa and Tempe. Various types of property usage are depicted in this layer. The most common are residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural properties. Multiple sources were used to collect the information including but not limited to CAD packages, aerial photography, and digitizing from paper maps. Adjustments are made where necessary in the process of updating and some parcel lines are only approximate. In cases where a line adjustment might create a loss of landsize it is typically taken out from the right of way to minimize the loss of landsize in the property. The line symbology for different property lines are not available in this dataset. In addition to standard fields the data has unique assessor parcel number for identification, basic temporal information and the location of property.

    Description

The Historical Aerials web app showcases the next generation ArcGIS Experience Builder Web Mapping technology from ESRI. It offers a simple and intuitive interface to zoom to your area of interest and compare the latest Aerial Imagery with those taken one, two, five, ten years in the past dating all the way back to 1930. They present a fascinating visual history of how Maricopa County grew from a small population of less than one million in 1970 to become the 4th largest County in the US serving a population of 4.6 million today. In addition, this Web App allows the user to search, query and view the entire Parcel database with over 1.7 million records. Each parcel has hyperlinks to access the Maricopa County Assessor, Treasurer and Recorder web pages. A comprehensive 273-page User Guide has been provided explaining the use of each widget and tool to help the user exploit the full potential of this powerful application. The Swipe widget allows the user to slide the Swipe handle to compare the most recent Aerials with those from the past and visually detect the changes. Two custom widgets have been added to open Google Maps and Pictometry in separate windows. The user can open Google Street View and explore their world in 2D and 3D. They can view the high-resolution Oblique Imagery from Pictometry from several years. Is it easy to drill down at any point on the map to find information on the closest Parcel, Subdivision, Zip Code and City. The user can select from a collection of templates to draw points, lines and polygons and display their location, area and perimeter values in units of their choice. A professional quality PDF Map can be created with a Title, custom map scale, map legend, north arrow, author and copyright information. Jack Dangermond personally liked this Experience Builder App! This application will be featured as a Case Study in the next ESRI publication.

The Existing Land Use (EXLU) dataset represents land use in Maricopa and Pinal Counties, Arizona. This dataset was created as a joint effort of MAG and MAG member agency staff. This dataset serves as a land use inventory and is used for a variety of planning purposes including socioeconomic forecasting and air quality modeling. Because of the level of generalization involved in creating this dataset, land use boundaries may not be accurate representations of ground conditions if used at small scales. These data were developed primarily from assessor parcel data collected in July 2022 for both Maricopa and Pinal Counties.
