In 2022, 33.1 percent of married baby boomers lived in a sexless marriage in the United States. In contrast, married Generation Zers (or zoomers) lived in a sexless marriage only 2.3 percent of the time.
According to a survey conducted in October 2023 in Japan, 46 percent of male respondents and 42 percent of female respondents who were married stated that they were in sexless marriages. More than 70 percent of male and 66 percent of female married respondents claimed that they were inclined to be sexually inactive with their spouse to some extent.
