    MassGIS' standardized ("Level 3") property tax parcel mapping data set was developed through a competitive procurement funded by MassGIS. Each community in the Commonwealth was bid on by one or more vendors and the unit of work awarded was a city or town. The specification for this work was Level 3 of the MassGIS Digital Parcel Standard. Standardization of assessor parcel mapping is complete for all 351 Massachusetts' cities and towns. MassGIS is now incorporating updates from municipalities into the database. This hosted feature layer is exported from MassGIS' internal database of the feature class GISDATA.L3_TAXPAR_POLY_ASSESS, which links L3_TAXPAR_POLY and L3_ASSESS. The export includes the expression: (POLY_TYPE IN ('FEE', 'TAX')) OR (POLY_TYPE IN ('ROW', 'PRIV_ROW', 'RAIL_ROW', 'WATER') AND PROP_ID IS NOT NULL) It contains several fields from GISDATA.L3_ASSESS and stacked polygons where multiple assessor records link to a parcel. It contains features that do not have an associated record in GISDATA.L3_ASSESS, except for rights of way and water bodies. ROWs and water bodies with a non-null PROP_ID are included. The data in this feature layer is used for the popups in the Massachusetts Interactive Property Map.     Description

    This layer package contains GIS data in Esri file geodatabase format. This data is also available for download as a zip archive in shapefile format.Digital parcel files for the Town of Amherst, MA as of December 31, 2013. The Town converted its existing analog tax maps to digital format in 1998. At the time of conversion, tax maps consisted of 108 27"x39" mylar sheets at 1"=100', originally created in 1957 from controlled and rectified photography taken by Air Survey Inc. (VA) in 1956. The tax maps were scanned, and digital line files were created with text annotation. The new line files were then overlayed onto digital color orthophotos produced in 1999, and updated, by first matching road right-of-ways, then adjusting all parcel boundaries. This data set is a spatial view that is created through a one-to-many join between TOA_Parcels_Poly and TOA_CAMA_TABLE. The join is through Map & Lot, which creates stacked parcel polygons in cases where there are multiple block numbers (accounts) for one parcel; this occurs primarily with condominium complexes, as well as with properties with agricultural preservation restrictions. This data set is refreshed on a nightly basis & reflects current information from the Town of Amherst Assessor's Vision Appraisal Database.

    The 2016 Massachusetts Small MS4 General Permit requires that Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s) be mapped. With MS4s interconnected across properties, maps are developed by different organizations which makes it difficult to determine where stormwater runoff is collecting and how stormwater infrastructure is managed. Through interviews and geospatial data analysis, we developed recommendations for facilitating the collaboration and integration of geospatial data between Central Massachusetts Regional Stormwater Coalition communities and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

    The digital parcel data in this data layer were provided to MassGIS by communities, or their regional planning agency partners, that received parcel grants from MassGIS in 2002 and 2006. Each municipality's parcels found in this data set were provided to MassGIS separately and then appended together to form this single data layer. Most of the parcel data included in this data layer has not been updated since it was received by MassGIS in 2002/2003 and 2006. This data layer is under development. At the present time data are available for only 45 municipalities. The grant recipients were required to deliver digital parcel data complying with "Level II" of the MassGIS Standard for Digital Parcels and Related Data Sets. The data submitted by grant recipients were subjected to a rigorous quality assurance process to ensure compliance with the standard. The standard establishes requirements for how parcel boundaries are compiled. It also requires establishing a few attributes of the polygons that are unique to the standard. In addition, the standard requires that a minimum selection of information from the assessor's database be included in a separate database table that can be linked to the parcel polygons. At Level II of the standard, an "intersection table" is required, which makes it possible to correctly model the one-to-many and many-to-many relationships that exist between assessor map polygons and assessor databases. In ArcSDE. MassGIS stores the polygons as ASSESSPAR_POLY. The intersection table is named ASSESSPAR_POLY_INT and the database table is named ASSESSPAR_POLY_DATA.

    Compiled in this map are datasets from and hosted by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Mass GIS, and the Center for Coastal Studies that focus on public access areas including: public beaches and other recreational space, conservation lands, boat ramps and marinas. Note:Open space continually changes, as explained on the MassGIS webpage, therefore please consider the Protected and Open Space layers as underdevelopment. Additionally, open space parcels are general representations and not a legal record of ownership. The following types of land included in this layer may be privately or publicly owned. Public access categories refer to legal (not physical) levels of public access and includes some areas of limited public access ( by membership only).Definitions for Level of Protection In Perpetuity (P)- Legally protected in perpetuity and recorded as such in a deed or other official document. Land is considered protected in perpetuity if it is owned by the town’s conservation commission or, sometimes, by the water department; if a town has a conservation restriction on the property in perpetuity; if it is owned by one of the state’s conservation agencies (thereby covered by article 97); if it is owned by a non-profit land trust; or if the town received federal or state assistance for the purchase or improvement of the property. Private land is considered protected if it has a deed restriction in perpetuity, if an Agriculture Preservation Restriction has been placed on it, or a Conservation Restriction has been placed on it.Temporary (T) - Legally protected for less than perpetuity (e.g. short term conservation restriction), or temporarily protected through an existing functional use. For example, some water district lands are only temporarily protected while water resource protection is their primary use.These lands could be developed for other uses at the end of their temporary protection or when their functional use is no longer necessary.     These boundaries are for planning purposes only and are not survey grade. For the most up-to-date assessing info, please contact the Town's Assessor. The respective Fiscal Year of publication is provided in the parcel pop-up info window. Years may vary from town to town.The parcels from each town on Martha's Vineyard are included in this web map. The map must be zoomed in far enough before the parcels will display on the map. The data are served out from MassGIS. All parcel data comply with the MassGIS Level 3 Parcel Data Standard.Each Town in Dukes County hires their own parcel data consultant to maintain their GIS parcel file. In most cases, this is done once a year. At the time of data compilation, the town Assessor exports a standard info file from their database which gets associated with each digital parcel. The Town's consultant pulls the parcel bounds and assessing info table into a spatial geodatabase which is then forwarded to MassGIS. MassGIS completes a few additional data management tasks and then serves out the data through their ArcGIS OnLine organizational website.The Martha's Vineyard Commission (MVC) then pulls that parcel data feature class into this web map and sets a few things such as visibility zoom extents and how the data display in the pop-up. The MVC does not edit these data in any way.Building Info Note: If there are multiple buildings on a parcel, the building info provided is only for one building on the parcel. Which building (i.e. largest, smallest, newest, oldest) is unknown. Individual county data was integrated into this statewide publication by the Arkansas Geographic Information Office (AGIO). The Computer Aided Mass Appraisal (CAMA) systems maintained in each county are used to populate the database attributes for each centroid feature. The entity attribute structure conforms to the Arkansas Cadastral Mapping Standard. The digital cadastral data is provided as a publication version that only represents a snapshot of the production data at the time it was received from the county. Production versions of the data exist in the various counties where daily and weekly updates occur. Users should consult the BEGIN_DATE attribute column to determine the age of the data for a given county. This column reflects the date when AGIO received the data from the county. Only parcels with an associated Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) record are provided. This means a CAMA record may exist, but no point geometry or vice-versa. Cadastral data is dynamic by its nature; therefore it is impossible for any county to ever be considered complete. The data is NOT topologically enforced. As a statewide integrator, AGIO publishes the data but does not make judgment calls about where points or polygon lines are meant to be located. Therefore each county data set is published without topology rules being enforced. GIS Technicians use best practices such as polygon closure and vertex snapping, however, topology is not built for each county. Users should be aware, by Arkansas Law (15-21-504 2 B) digital cadastral data does not represent legal property boundary descriptions, nor is it suitable for boundary determination of the individual parcels included in the cadastre. Users requiring a boundary determination should consult an Arkansas Registered Land Surveyor (http://www.arkansas.gov/pels/search/search.php) on boundary questions. The digital cadastral data is intended to be a graphical representation of the tax parcel only. Just because a county is listed does NOT imply the data represents county wide coverage. AGIO worked with each county to determine a level of production that warranted the data was ready to be published. For example, in some counties only the north part of the county was covered or in other cases only rural parcels are covered and yet in others only urban parcels. The approach is to begin incremental publishing as production blocks are ready, even though a county may not have county wide coverage.     Description

    The Weddell Gyre plays a crucial role in the modification of climate by advecting heat poleward to the Antarctic ice shelves and by regulating the density of water masses that feed the lowest limb of the global ocean overturning circulation. However, our understanding of Weddell Gyre water mass properties is limited to regions of data availability, primarily along the Prime Meridian. The aim of this paper is to provide a data set of the upper water column properties of the entire Weddell Gyre. Objective mapping was applied to Argo float data in order to produce spatially gridded, time-composite maps of temperature and salinity for fixed pressure levels ranging from 50 to 2000 dbar, as well as temperature, salinity and pressure at the level of the sub-surface temperature maximum. While the data are currently too limited to incorporate time into the gridded structure, the data are extensive enough to produce maps of the entire region across three time-composite periods (2001–2005, 2006–2009 and 2010–2013), which can be used to determine how representative conclusions drawn from data collected along general RV transect lines are on a gyre scale perspective. The work presented here represents the technical prerequisite for addressing climatological research questions in forthcoming studies.
