Analysis of ‘Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Work Zone Data Exchange (WZDx) v2.0 Feed Sample’ provided by Analyst-2 (analyst-2.ai), based on source dataset retrieved from https://catalog.data.gov/dataset/48bffac5-d3ce-4c67-8cfc-3dc8bfaf77d0 on 26 January 2022.
--- Dataset description provided by original source is as follows ---
This dataset provides information on work zones in the state of Massachusetts in a tabular format and is updated daily based on the live MassDOT Work Zone Data Exchange (WZDx) Feed.
A continuously updating archive of the MassDOT WZDx feed data can be found at ITS WorkZone Raw Data Sandbox and the ITS WorkZone Semi-Processed Data Sandbox. The live feed is currently compliant with the WZDx Specification v2.0.

This data set contains vector points depicting locations for management sites for Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Management sites in this atlas include military sites (naval stations). Location-specific type and source information are stored in associated data tables (described below) designed to be used in conjunction with this spatial data layer. This data set is a portion of the ESI data for Massachusetts, Rhode Island. As a whole, the ESI data characterize the marine and coastal environments and wildlife by their sensitivity to spilled oil, and include information for three main components: shoreline habitats, sensitive biological resources, and human-use resources. See also the MANAGED_POLY (Managed Polygons) data layer for additional human-use information.
The TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation.
School Districts are single-purpose administrative units within which local officials provide public educational services for the area's residents. The Census Bureau obtains the boundaries, names, local education agency codes, grade ranges, and school district levels for school districts from State officials for the primary purpose of providing the U.S. Department of Education with estimates of the number of children in poverty within each school district. This information serves as the basis for the Department of Education to determine the annual allocation of Title I funding to States and school districts.
TIGER/Line Shapefiles include separate shapefiles for elementary, secondary and unified school districts. The school district boundaries are those in effect for the 2020-2021 school year, i.e., in operation as of January 1, 2021.
The Mill Pond elver ladder is one of only a few elver ladders exist in Massachusetts and even fewer have a trap to enumerate the number of migrating young of the year elvers (Anguilla rostrata). This sampling effort is the start of what is expected to be a long term proxy for the status of American eels in small coastal watersheds in Massachusetts.
