    Description

This dataset is part of the Geographical repository maintained by Opendatasoft. This dataset contains data for zip codes 5 digits in United States of America.ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs) are approximate area representations of U.S. Postal Service (USPS) ZIP Code service areas that the Census Bureau creates to present statistical data for each decennial census. The Census Bureau delineates ZCTA boundaries for the United States, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands once each decade following the decennial census. Data users should not use ZCTAs to identify the official USPS ZIP Code for mail delivery. The USPS makes periodic changes to ZIP Codes to support more efficient mail delivery.Processors and tools are using this data.EnhancementsAdd ISO 3166-3 codes.Simplify geometries to provide better performance across the services.Add administrative hierarchy.

    Description

As of June 2019, these are the most current building roofprints for structures in Dukes County, MA. These roofprints were delineated from aerial photos by MassGIS and their subcontractor. The roofprints are not equivalent to footprints. See MassGIS for full methodolgy details. Roofprints can represent any structure (i.e. house, guest house, business, barn, shed, garage, etc). The MVC has also provided building centriods (produced from the roofprint polygon). All centroids were forced to be located within the roofprint polygon. The MVC also appended some assessor's data (or deduced some info from the assessor's data) for each roofprint centroid. The field of [Status] indicates if a parcel is owned by a Year-round ("YR") or Seasonal ("S") person. This deduction was made based on the owner's mailing address zip code. Off-island zip codes were assigned "S" seasonal and on-Island zip codes were assigned "YR" year-round. The field of [UseType] was deduced from the assessor's use code. "NR" - non residential; "R" - residential

    Description

The TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national filewith no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independentdata set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. The Address Range / Feature Name Relationship File (ADDRFN.dbf) contains a record for each address range / linear feature name relationship. The purpose of this relationship file is to identify all street names associated with each address range. An edge can have several feature names; an address range located on an edge can be associated with one or any combination of the available feature names (an address range can be linked to multiple feature names). The address range is identified by the address range identifier (ARID) attribute that can be used to link to the Address Ranges Relationship File (ADDR.dbf). The linear feature name is identified by the linear feature identifier (LINEARID) attribute that can be used to link to the Feature Names Relationship File (FEATNAMES.dbf).

The Address Ranges Feature Shapefile (ADDRFEAT.dbf) contains the geospatial edge geometry and attributes of all unsuppressed address ranges for a county or county equivalent area. The term "address range" refers to the collection of all possible structure numbers from the first structure number to the last structure number and all numbers of a specified parity in between along an edge side relative to the direction in which the edge is coded. Single-address address ranges have been suppressed to maintain the confidentiality of the addresses they describe. Multiple coincident address range feature edge records are represented in the shapefile if more than one left or right address ranges are associated to the edge. The ADDRFEAT shapefile contains a record for each address range to street name combination. Address range associated to more than one street name are also represented by multiple coincident address range feature edge records. Note that the ADDRFEAT shapefile includes all unsuppressed address ranges compared to the All Lines Shapefile (EDGES.shp) which only includes the most inclusive address range associated with each side of a street edge. The TIGER/Line shapefile contain potential address ranges, not individual addresses. The address ranges in the TIGER/Line Files are potential ranges that include the full range of possible structure numbers even though the actual structures may not exist.

    Description

Adult respondents 18+ who had a body mass index (BMI) of 30.0 or above. Years covered are from 2013-2014 by zip code. Data taken from the California Health Interview Survey Neighborhood Edition (AskCHIS NE) (http://askchisne.ucla.edu/), downloaded February 2018.AskCHIS Neighborhood Edition is an online data dissemination and visualization platform that provides health estimates at sub-county geographic regions. Estimates are powered by data from The California Health Interview Survey (CHIS). CHIS is conducted by The UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, an affiliate of UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.Health estimates available in AskCHIS NE (Neighborhood Edition) are model-based small area estimates (SAEs).SAEs are not direct estimates (estimates produced directly from survey data, such as those provided through AskCHIS).CHIS data and analytic results are used extensively in California in policy development, service planning and research, and is recognized and valued nationally as a model population-based health survey. Before using estimates from AskCHIS NE, it is recommended that you read more about the methodology and data limitations at: http://healthpolicy.ucla.edu/Lists/AskCHIS%20NE%20Page%20Content/AllItems.aspx. You can go to http://askchisne.ucla.edu/ to create your own account.Produced by The California Health Interview Survey and The UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and compiled by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. "Field Name = Field Definition"Zipcode" = postal zip code in the City of Los Angeles “Percent” = estimated percentage of adult respondents ages 18+ who had a body mass index (BMI) of 30.0 or above 18 and older residing in zip code "LowerCL" = the lower 95% confidence limit represents the lower margin of error that occurs with statistical sampling"UpperCL" = the upper 95% confidence limit represents the upper margin of error that occurs in statistical sampling "Population" = estimated population 18 and older (denominator) residing in the zip code Notes: 1) Zip codes are based on the Los Angeles Housing Department Zip Codes Within the City of Los Angeles map (https://media.metro.net/about_us/pla/images/lazipcodes.pdf).2) Zip codes that did not have data available (i.e., null values) are not included in the dataset; there are additional zip codes that fall within the City of Los Angeles.3) Zip code boundaries do not align with political boundaries. These data are best viewed with a City of Los Angeles political boundary file (i.e., City of Los Angeles jurisdiction boundary, City Council boundary, etc.) FAQS: 1. Which cycle of CHIS does AskCHIS Neighborhood Edition provide estimates for?All health estimates in this version of AskCHIS Neighborhood Edition are based on data from the 2013-2014 California Health Interview Survey. 2. Why do your population estimates differ from other sources like ACS? The population estimates in AskCHIS NE represent the CHIS 2013-2014 population sample, which excludes Californians living in group quarters (such as prisons, nursing homes, and dormitories). 3. Why isn't there data available for all ZIP codes in Los Angeles? While AskCHIS NE has data on all ZCTAs (Zip Code Tabulation Areas), two factors may influence our ability to display the estimates:A small population (under 15,000): currently, the application only shows estimates for geographic entities with populations above 15,000. If your ZCTA has a population below this threshold, the easiest way to obtain data is to combine it with a neighboring ZCTA and obtain a pooled estimate.A high coefficient of variation: high coefficients of variation denote statistical instability.

TIGER, TIGER/Line, and Census TIGER are registered trademarks of the U.S. Census Bureau. ZCTA is a trademark of the U.S. Census Bureau. The Census 2000 TIGER/Line files are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the Census TIGER data base. The geographic coverage for a single TIGER/Line file is a county or statistical equivalent entity, with the coverage area based on January 1, 2000 legal boundaries. A complete set of Census 2000 TIGER/Line files includes all counties and statistically equivalent entities in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Island Areas. The Census TIGER data base represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts. However, each county-based TIGER/Line file is designed to stand alone as an independent data set or the files can be combined to cover the whole Nation. The Census 2000 TIGER/Line files consist of line segments representing physical features and governmental and statistical boundaries. The boundary information in the TIGER/Line files are for statistical data collection and tabulation purposes only; their depiction and designation for statistical purposes does not constitute a determination of jurisditional authority or rights of ownership or entitlement. The Census 2000 TIGER/Line files do NOT contain the Census 2000 urban areas which have not yet been delineated. The files contain information distributed over a series of record types for the spatial objects of a county. There are 17 record types, including the basic data record, the shape coordinate points, and geographic codes that can be used with appropriate software to prepare maps. Other geographic information contained in the files includes attributes such as feature identifiers/census feature class codes (CFCC) used to differentiate feature types, address ranges and ZIP Codes, codes for legal and statistical entities, latitude/longitude coordinates of linear and point features, landmark point features, area landmarks, key geographic features, and area boundaries. The Census 2000 TIGER/Line data dictionary contains a complete list of all the fields in the 17 record types. Note: Complete metadata is available within the downloaded zip file. This metadata can be viewed with ESRI ArcGIS software, and can be exported to FGDC and ISO metadata formats.

    Description

Small business transactions and revenue data aggregated from several credit card processors, collected by Womply and compiled by Opportunity Insights. Transactions and revenue are reported based on the ZIP code where the business is located.

Data provided for CT (FIPS code 9), MA (25), NJ (34), NY (36), and RI (44).

Data notes from Opportunity Insights: Seasonally adjusted change since January 2020. Data is indexed in 2019 and 2020 as the change relative to the January index period. We then seasonally adjust by dividing year-over-year, which represents the difference between the change since January observed in 2020 compared to the change since January observed since 2019. We account for differences in the dates of federal holidays between 2019 and 2020 by shifting the 2019 reference data to align the holidays before performing the year-over-year division.

Small businesses are defined as those with annual revenue below the Small Business Administration’s thresholds. Thresholds vary by 6 digit NAICS code ranging from a maximum number of employees between 100 to 1500 to be considered a small business depending on the industry.

County-level and metro-level data and breakdowns by High/Middle/Low income ZIP codes have been temporarily removed since the August 21st 2020 update due to revisions in the structure of the raw data we receive. We hope to add them back to the OI Economic Tracker soon.
