Minneapolis–Saint Paul is the most populous urban area in the state of Minnesota, United States, and is composed of *** cities and townships. Built around the Mississippi, Minnesota and St. Croix rivers, the area is also nicknamed the Twin Cities for its *** largest cities, Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the former the larger and the latter the state capital. It is a classic example of twin cities in geography.

The area is part of a larger U.S. Census division named Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, MN-WI, the country's ****-largest metropolitan area composed of ** counties in Minnesota and *** counties in Wisconsin. In 2023, the metropolitan area of New York-Newark-Jersey City had the biggest population in the United States. Based on annual estimates from the census, the metropolitan area had around 19.5 million inhabitants, which was a slight decrease from the previous year. The Los Angeles and Chicago metro areas rounded out the top three. What is a metropolitan statistical area? In general, a metropolitan statistical area (MSA) is a core urbanized area with a population of at least 50,000 inhabitants – the smallest MSA is Carson City, with an estimated population of nearly 56,000. The urban area is made bigger by adjacent communities that are socially and economically linked to the center. MSAs are particularly helpful in tracking demographic change over time in large communities and allow officials to see where the largest pockets of inhabitants are in the country. How many MSAs are in the United States? There were 421 metropolitan statistical areas across the U.S. as of July 2021. The largest city in each MSA is designated the principal city and will be the first name in the title. An additional two cities can be added to the title, and these will be listed in population order based on the most recent census. So, in the example of New York-Newark-Jersey City, New York has the highest population, while Jersey City has the lowest. The U.S. Census Bureau conducts an official population count every ten years, and the new count is expected to be announced by the end of 2030.

This dataset consists of housing unit, household, and population estimates for census tracts, census block groups, Transportation Analysis Zones (TAZs), school districts, and ZIP codes in the Twin Cities Region. These data provide a more precise and timely picture of current conditions than the American Community Survey, another source of small area data that is better suited for statistics like percentages and averages than for actual counts. In 2021, the population of the San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara metropolitan area in the United States was about 1.95 million people. This was a slight decrease from the previous year, when the population was about 1.97 people.

The trend coward developing suburban housing interspersed with parks and greenways has resulted in ideal situations for skyrocketting metropolitan deer populations. This is particularly evident in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota area where parks are liberally placed throughout the urban landscape. The Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge is located in this metropolitan area and has experienced winter population numbers estimated to be as high as 280 deer/sq. mi.

Context

This dataset contains swiggy registered restaurants details of major metropoliton cities of India. I have considered only metropoliton cities with population 4.5 million. As per the Census of India 2011 definition of more than 4 million population, some of the major Metropolitan Cities in India are:

I have scrapped the data using python. It may not have all the restaurants of a particular city because if during webscrapping any restaurant has not enabled swiggy as their delivery partner, that restaurant's details will not be scrapped. Though I have scrapped same cities multiple times, to include maximum restaurant details. The data is collected on 12th Jan 2022.

1. Records outside of Minnesota are reported at the state level and include territories, APO's, foreign and unassigned.

Within Minnesota, records are assigned to one of three geographic levels (blockgroup, city or county):

2. Within the 7-county Twin Cities metro area, records are assigned to blockgroups.
3. Outside of the 7-county Twin Cities metro area, records are assigned to cities with populations greater than 2,000 residents.
4. All other unassigned Minnesota records are tabulated by county.
