    Description

Publication Date: April 2025 2024 Parcel Data. Updated annually, or as needed. The data can be downloaded here: https://gis.ny.gov/parcels#data-download. This feature service has two layers: 1) NYS Tax Parcels Public, and 2) NYS Tax Parcels Public Footprint which contains polygons representing counties for which tax parcel polygons are available in the NYS Tax Parcels Public layer. County footprint polygons display when zoomed out beyond 1:37,050-scale. Tax parcel polygons display when zoomed in below 1:37,051-scale. The NYS Tax Parcels Public layer contains 2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITS Geospatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State. Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data the NYS ITS Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel. Detailed information about assessment attributes can be found in the ORPTS Assessor’s Manuals available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/research/property/assess/manuals/assersmanual.htm. New York City data comes from NYC MapPluto which can be found here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-pluto-mappluto.page. Thanks to the following counties that specifically authorized Geospatial Services to share their GIS tax parcel data with the public: Albany, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Lewis, Livingston, Montgomery, NYC- Bronx, NYC- Kings (Brooklyn), NYC- New York (Manhattan), NYC- Queens, NYC- Richmond (Staten Island), Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schuyler, St Lawrence, Steuben, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Wayne, and Westchester. Geometry accuracy varies by contributing county. This map service is available to the public. The User accepts the Data provided “as is” with no guarantees that it is error free, complete, accurate, current or fit for any particular purpose and assumes all risks associated with its use. Description

The County's Water and Sewer Plan assigns a water category and a sewer category to every property in the County. These service area categories serve two functions:They identify areas approved or planned for community water or sewer service and areas intended for service by individual (on-site) systemsThey identify a mechanism for staging community service for those areas planned for community service. The mechanism consists of the use of service area categories W-1 through W- 5 (for water) and S-1 through S-5 (for sewer). The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) requires the County to prepare a comprehensive update of the Water and Sewer Plan every three years. Between comprehensive updates, the County approves amendments to the plan (such as service area categories, new or revised policies, and technical information) through procedures described in Chapter 1 of the Plan.

The County Executive, acting through the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), prepares the Plan's comprehensive updates and also provides recommendations to the Council for action on proposed amendments. DEP, with the assistance of other agencies, develops some amendments, typically those that involve policy issues or category changes that affect groups of properties. Property owners also propose amendments, usually those involving category changes for single properties or larger tracts intended for subdivision of new lots. Under state law, the County Council is responsible for approving the plan and its amendments.

MDE maintains an oversight authority over the County’s Water and Sewer Plan and its amendments. The agency administers regulations that each county must follow in the preparation of its comprehensive plan, and acts to approve, approve with modifications, or disapprove the Plan or any Plan amendment submitted by the County. As part of this process, MDE seeks guidance from the Maryland Department of Planning for consistency with local and State planning use goals, policies and objectives. For more information, contact: GIS Manager Information Technology & Innovation (ITI) Montgomery County Planning Department, MNCPPC T: 301-650-5620

    Description

The MCAD Tax Parcel Point View was updated in early 2024 to streamline the data schema and improve data accuracy. Instead of including a centroid for every parcel in the county (~300,000 parcels), the updated point layer now only includes parcels with anomalies that may impact mapping or other GIS products. The following types of anomalies qualify a parcel to be included in this view:Multiple Owners: Parcels with more than three listed owners.Example: Parcel at 2827 Waterbend Cove, Spring, TX, with 6 listed owners.Disconnected or Multi-part Parcels: Parcels that are split into multiple parts (more than one polygon).Example: Parcel 51296, which is split into 3 separate parts.Because the point layer is focused on these special cases, the record count for the Tax Parcel Point View has decreased significantly after the May 2024 update. For a complete view of all parcels, users are encouraged to refer to the MCAD Tax Parcel View dataset, which includes all parcels in Montgomery County.Data Includes:Flagged Parcels: Geographic points representing parcels with anomalies (multiple owners, disconnected parcels, multi-part parcels).Anomaly Types: Data on parcels with specific anomalies such as multiple owners or multiple parts.Data Source:The data is maintained and provided by the Montgomery Central Appraisal District (MCAD).Access:The view is available through Montgomery County’s Open Data Portal and can be accessed for public use.Update Frequency:The data is updated monthly, especially after changes to MCAD’s appraisal processes or data schema.

Mohawk River Watershed Coalition of Conservation Districts does not take responsibility for the overall content and/or spatial accuracy of the tax parcel data available for download on this page. You should always verify actual map data and information. The limitations and accuracy level of the data should be accounted for before using them in any analyses and their validity cannot be guaranteed.Parcel boundary data was acquired by county offices. Individual County and Town files were compiled to create a seamless coverage of Tax Parcels. Areas of overlap were eliminated by clipping to adjacent county boundaries. Attribute information of interest, property class code, residential development from 1945 to present (year built), sewer service code, and water service codes were obtained from the New York Office of Real Property Services (ORPS, accessed in November 2011). Parcel boundaries and attribute information from ORPS were joined based on the municipality code and print key.Source Information:Albany: Albany County Real Property Tax Services. 2010 Albany County, NY parcel boundaries derived from AutoCAD MAP 3D tax maps; Delaware: Delaware County Planning Department. Description

This dataset was downloaded from the United States Census Bureau and is accurate as of January 1, 2017. The original dataset was provided in a Geographic Coordinate System (GCS_North_American_1983), coordinate system identifier 4269 Codespace EPSG version 6.12(3.0.1).https://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/geo/shapefiles/index.phpThese files were specifically created to support small-scale thematic mapping. To improve the appearance of shapes at small scales, areas are represented with fewer vertices than detailed TIGER/Line Shapefiles. Cartographic boundary files take up less disk space than their ungeneralized counterparts. Cartographic boundary files take less time to render on screen than TIGER/Line Shapefiles. You can join this file with table data downloaded from American FactFinder by using the AFFGEOID field in the cartographic boundary file. If detailed boundaries are required, please use the TIGER/Line Shapefiles instead of the generalized cartographic boundary files.

    Description

The TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. Face refers to the areal (polygon) topological primitives that make up MTDB. A face is bounded by one or more edges; its boundary includes only the edges that separate it from other faces, not any interior edges contained within the area of the face. The Topological Faces Shapefile contains the attributes of each topological primitive face. Each face has a unique topological face identifier (TFID) value. Each face in the shapefile includes the key geographic area codes for all geographic areas for which the Census Bureau tabulates data for both the 2020 Census and the annual estimates and surveys. The geometries of each of these geographic areas can then be built by dissolving the face geometries on the appropriate key geographic area codes in the Topological Faces Shapefile.
