Asian-American and Pacific Islanders had the highest level of education, on average, while Massachusetts and the District of Colombia are areas home to the highest rates of residents with a bachelor’s degree or higher. However, education levels are correlated with wealth. While public education is free up until the 12th grade, the cost of university is out of reach for many Americans, making social mobility increasingly difficult. Earnings White Americans with a professional degree earned the most money on average, compared to other educational levels and races. However, regardless of educational attainment, males typically earned far more on average compared to females. Despite the decreasing wage gap over the years in the country, it remains an issue to this day. Not only is there a large wage gap between males and females, but there is also a large income gap linked to race as well.

In 2020, the Mexican states with the highest average of academic years were Mexico City with 11.48, Nuevo León with 10.74 and Querétaro with 10.48 years. In contrast, the states with the lowest standard school years were Oaxaca with 8.12 and Chiapas 7.78 years.

The top two most well-known online education services in the U.S. are both language learning tools. This includes top ranked Rosetta Stone and second placed Babbel, each with a brand awareness of 61 percent and 51 percent respectively. Following them on the third spot is the online learning service LinkedIn Learning. Fourth is the language learning service Duolingo followed by Khan Academy, that is recognized by 39 percent of internet respondents in the United States.

For this study, brand awareness was surveyed employing the concept of aided brand recognition, showing respondents both the brand's logo and the written brand name.

According to the government artificial intelligence (AI) readiness index rankings, the United States (U.S.) is the highest-ranked country on the worldwide index in 2024, with an index score of 87.03. This means that the U.S. is considered the country best situated in the world to implement AI within public services, from healthcare to education to transportation. Other noteworthy countries with high indexes were Singapore, the Republic of Korea, and France coming in at second, third, and fourth respectively. China ranks 20th on the index as it only measures AI readiness instead of AI implementation. Compared to many other countries that may score more highly for AI readiness, China is advanced in implementing AI capabilities to public services as it has made this a top government priority.

More international students are flocking to China than ever before. According to a report, over 540,000 foreigners studied in China in 2018 – marking a 40 percent increase from 2012. China attracts more international students than any other Asian power and ranks third globally, behind the United States and the United Kingdom.

In 2018 there were a total of 492,185 international students from 196 countries/areas pursuing their studies in 1,004 higher education institutions in China’s 31 provinces/autonomous regions/provincial-level municipalities, marking an increase of 3,013 students or 0.62% compared to 2017. International students in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan are not included in the datasets. The datasets contain three CSV files (Continent, Country, Province) with different data about international students in China.
