This document provides an overview on the provisioning of GIS data to support NG9-1-1 services. This document is intended to provide guidance to local GIS and PSAP authorities on the following: The required GIS datasets to support the i3 Emergency Call Routing Function (ECRF) and Location Validation Function (LVF) The validation processes to synchronize the GIS datasets to the Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) and Automatic Location Information (ALI) datasets Geospatial call routing readiness The short term and long term NG9-1-1 GIS data maintenance workflow proceduresAdditional resources and recommendations on GIS related topics are available on the VGIN 9-1-1 & GIS page.
This feature class primarily models MSAG community and emergency service number (ESN) zones as polygons for use in the GIS 911 Synchronization Analysis portion of the VITA GIS Data Report Card Tools for NG9-1-1 Preparation. A guide to these tools is available at: https://vgin.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=6f5608652f6c486298238e2b4a84ce71. Data attribution review and data attribution population processes of the Report Card Tools and the VGIN statewide road centerline and address point products use this layer as reference and source. This feature class is derived from multiple sources including locality road centerlines, locality address points, other locality GIS layers, and 911 service provider MSAG and ALI databases. The data layer is updated as needed and as time allows from updated source data.

Depicts roadways and other addressed line types (i.e. water access shorelines, etc.) within St. Louis County. Address left/right attributes depict theoretical address ranges (low-high) along segments. Road names (spelling and abbreviations), address ranges, and community left/right attributes are intended to reflect accurate synchronization with the county's 9-1-1 Master Street Address Guide (MSAG).Metadata
