This dataset represents Neighborhoods in Muncie as determined through the Muncie Action Plan. The purpose is to define areas of active organization within the city of Muncie at a neighborhood scale. The ScoutMuncie Property Survey was a volunteer-based community survey conducted between 2015-2017 by the Muncie Historic Preservation & Rehabilitation Commission in supported through generous funding by The Ball Brothers Foundation and in partnership with Delaware County Historical Society, Delaware County GIS Department, Ball State University, BSU Building Better Neighborhoods, BSU Department of Urban Planning (302 Neighborhood Studio), BSU Department of Landscape Architecture, BSU Graduate Program in Historic Preservation, Place Economics and the CO:LAB.
