Other statistics published alongside the statistical first release. These are not National Statistics, but complement the information in the main release. FE trends FE trends provides an overview of adult (19+) government-funded further education and all age apprenticeships in England. It looks to provide trends between 2008/09 and 2013/14 and to give an overview of FE provision, characteristics of learners and outcomes over time. International Comparisons Supplementary Tables The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) produces an annual publication, Education at a Glance, providing a variety of comparisons between OECD countries. The table provided here contains a summary of the relative ranking in education attainment of the 25-64 year old population in OECD countries in 2012. The OECD statistics use the International Standard Classification of Education. Within this, “at least upper secondary education” is equivalent to holding qualifications at Level 2 or above in the UK, and “tertiary education” is equivalent to holding qualifications at Level 4 or above in the UK. STEM This research is the result of a Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) funded, sector led project to gather and analyse data to inform the contribution that further education makes to STEM in England. This project was led by The Royal Academy of Engineering, and governance of the project was specifically designed to ensure that those with an interest in STEM were actively engaged and involved in directing and prioritising outputs. The November 2012 report builds on the FE and Skills STEM Data report published in July 2011 (below). It provides further analysis and interpretation of the existing data in a highly graphical format. It uses the same classified list of S,T, E and M qualifications as the 2011 report compiled through an analysis of the Register of Regulated Qualifications and the Learning Aim Database, updated with the most recent completions and achievements data taken from the Individualised Learner Record and the National Pupil Database.

TwitterThe National Transportation Library (NTL) provides national and international access to transportation information, coordinates information creation and dissemination, and provides reference services for Department of Transportation (DOT) employees and public stakeholders. Established in 1998 by the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21; P.L. 105-178), NTL’s authorized role was expanded in 2012’s Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21; P.L. 112- 141). NTL’s primary product and service is the Repository and Open Science Access Portal (ROSA P) (https://rosap.ntl.bts.gov). NTL’s collections in ROSA P are full-text digital publications, datasets, and other resources. Legacy print materials that have been digitized are collected if they have historic, technical, or national significance. The repository is also designated as the full-text repository for USDOT-funded research under the USDOT Public Access Plan. Collections in ROSA P are available without restriction to transportation researchers, statistical organizations, the media, and the general public.

About NTPSThe National Teacher and Principal Survey (NTPS) is a system of related questionnaires that provide descriptive data on the context of elementary and secondary education while also giving policymakers a variety of statistics on the condition of education in the United States. The NTPS is a redesign of the Schools and Staffing Survey (SASS), which the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) conducted from 1987 to 2011. The design of the NTPS is a product of three key goals coming out of the SASS program: flexibility, timeliness, and integration with other Department of Education collections. The NTPS collects data on core topics including teacher and principal preparation, classes taught, school characteristics, and demographics of the teacher and principal labor force every two to three years. In addition, each administration of NTPS contains rotating modules on important education topics such as: professional development, working conditions, and evaluation. This approach allows policy makers and researchers to assess trends on both stable and dynamic topics.Data OrganizationEach table has an associated excel and excel SE file, which are grouped together in a folder in the dataset (one folder per table). The folders are named based on the excel file names, as they were when downloaded from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) website. In the NTPS folder, there is a catalog csv that provides a crosswalk between the folder names and the table titles. The documentation folder contains (1) codebooks for NTPS generated in NCES datalabs, (2) questionnaires for NTPS downloaded from the study website and (3) reports related to NTPS found in the NCES resource library

Grey literature is an important source of information due to the uniqueness of the content that gets published. Because commercial publishers are looking to make a profit on the materials they publish, they often overlook niche research areas that serve smaller populations. Grey literature is one way to search for information in emerging or less popular research areas. It seems that it reinforce research and accelerate continuous movement towards having a scientific society. Any source of information that has not been released to the market after printing is considered as grey literature. Grey literature is a special resource that is created for a specific purpose and audience and is replicated finitely. It is impermanent and invisible, and cannot be seen in the directory of publishers, bookshops and libraries. The National Library of Iran was founded in 1937. The main goal of this organization is collecting, preserving, organizing and disseminating information about printed and non-printed works in Iran, and taking measures and making decisions to guarantee the accuracy, ease and speed of research and study in all fields to promote national culture. In order to achieve these goals, and according to the law, all private and public publishers are required to submit a copy of their publications (book and non -book materials) to the National Library of Iran . There are more than 900 thousand issues in the grey literature group at the National Library, over 240,000 issues of which are digitized. After being collected, these resources are organized and made available to users. Report, research project, standard and dissertations are among the most important sources of the National Library of Iran ’s grey literature, used by many researchers daily. In this research, the process of collecting, organizing and disseminating of information of these sources in the National Library of Iran will be expressed as a successful practical experience. Besides, it will be shown how the National Library of Iran has dealt with the problems it faced with.

The Korea Library of Information and Information System (KOLIS-NET) is an integrated bibliographic search service jointly built by approximately 2,000 public and specialized libraries nationwide, centered around the National Library of Korea, and the archives of various government ministries. It serves as a unified catalog database of participating institutions' holdings and, since 2001, is an interlibrary information sharing and cooperation network. With a single search, you can quickly and easily access books, theses, periodicals, multimedia materials, and more held by public, university, specialized, and school libraries.

TwitterThis dataset contains aggregated data for fiscal years 2006-2020 from the Institute of Museum and Library Services' annual public library survey. This transformed version of the data contains aggregated data by material type for all public libraries in the nation, as well as an additional subset of the data for aggregated data by material type for Oklahoma's public libraries. Column headers include: Year, Print Materials, Electronic Materials, Other Materials, and Total. Material categories represent: material expenditures for physical materials (books, current serial subscriptions, government documents, and any other print acquisitions), electronic materials (ebooks, e-serials, government documents, databases, electronic files, reference tools, scores, maps, or pictures, including materials digitized by the library), and other materials (microform, audio, video, DVD, and new formats). These values were directly pulled from corresponding datasets for each public library from the PRMATEXP, ELMATEXP, and OTHMATEX columns, representing physical, electronic, and other material expenditures, respectively. Negative and zero values (-3, -1, 0) were excluded from categorical tallies, with -3 values representing closed or temporarily closed administrative entities. No explanation for -1 or 0 values was present in IMLS documentation. Valued were tallied by column after negative and zero values were excluded, with final tallies for each data column included in the attached dataset. Lastly, annually tallied were summed by each year in both National and State datasets. Two sets of the data are available: One set with two tabs (one each for National and State spending) in an Excel format, and two separate files (one each for National and State spending) in a CSV format.
