    Description

Previously known as BESS. The data sets are summarized by meaningful Healthcare Common Procedure Coding Current Procedural Terminology, HCPC CPT, code ranges. Brief descriptions for the code ranges and modifiers are provided in the readme file. The data set name contains the year followed by a five character sequence that is the HCPC CPT code. This HCPC CPT code corresponds to the first HCPC CPT in the selected code range of disciplines. Within each code range are, procedural, condition, or description subheadings. Each data set displays the allowed services, allowed charges, and payment amounts by HCPC CPT codes and prominent modifiers. These reports will only illustrate the modifiers where duplicative claim submissions occur. This is to avoid duplicate counting of services. Utilization for modifiers not affected by duplicative counting are collapsed into the Other category on the reports. Therefore, not all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services published modifiers are illustrated. The file is updated annually and usually available by September for the previous year.

    Description

This file provides nationally aggregated summary statistics to characterize the daily operations of medium and heavy duty vehicles. It provides typical daily driving distances, domicile dwell durations, and one version of potential normalized electric vehicle depot charging load curves. The methodology to create this data was designed with national representativeness in mind, and the data is suitable for national analysis. The dataset characterizes the subset of medium and heavy duty vehicle operating patterns that may originate from a consistent depot each day (and thus may rely on the same depot for charging if the vehicle were electrified). In addition to trucks with depot-centric vocational patterns, the data also describes operations of transit buses and school buses. A detailed description of this data and associated methodology is available as an NREL technical report, "Depot-based vehicle data for national analysis of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicle charging" (https://www.nrel.gov/docs/fy24osti/88241.pdf).

    Description

This data collection contains summary statistics on population and housing subjects derived from questions on the 2010 Census questionnaire. Population counts for the total population and for the population 18 years and over are presented in four tables: (1) population of all ages by race, (2) population 18 years and over by race, (3) Hispanic or Latino population of all ages and not Hispanic or Latino population of all ages by race, and (4) Hispanic or Latino population ages 18 years and over and not Hispanic or Latino population ages 18 years and by race. A fifth table shows the number of occupied and vacant housing units. With one variable per table cell, plus additional variables with geographic information, the collection comprises three data files. The tables are tabulated for multiple levels of observation (called "summary levels" in the Census Bureau's nomenclature): the United States as whole, states, regions, divisions, and other geographic areas that cross state boundaries, such as American Indian areas, metropolitan statistical areas, and micropolitan statistical areas. Tabulations for within-state summary levels down to the block level are contained in a companion data collection, Census of Population and Housing, 2010 [United States]: Redistricting Data (Public Law 94-171) Summary File (ICPSR 33441). Two ZIP archives constitute the collection. The first archive contains the data files, while the second contains the codebook and other documentation files, a Microsoft Access database shell, and SAS setups.

    Description

    About this dataset:

-This data is a compilation of the CMS Medicare Part B National Summary Data for CPT/HCPCS Medicine Codes 90281-99xx for 2000-2022. - The information in Part B National Summary Data Files is limited to Medicare Fee-For- Service (FFS) Part B Physician/Supplier data. It does not include information on physician/supplier services for beneficiaries in the managed care portion of the program (Medicare Advantage). -Items/columns include: year, HCPCS/CPT, total annual allowed services, total annual allowed charges, and total annual allowed payment. - These are national annual aggregates. - Note that, per CMS, fields labeled “N/A” mean that the data cannot be disclosed due to Privacy rules. Cell sizes less than 11 have been screened for privacy and replaced with N/A. A zero indicates there were no services or payments rendered for a particular code. - The .csv and .xlsx files hold the same data, just in different formats. - CPT only copyright 2000-2022 American Medical Association. All rights reserved.

    Column Descriptions:

Allowed Services: A count of the number of services performed for a procedure.

Allowed Charges: The amount Medicare determines to be reasonable payment for a provider or service covered under Part B. This includes the coinsurance and deductible amounts.

Description: The category corresponding to the HCPCS code, for example: Evaluation and Management, Anesthesia, Dental Services, Pathology/Lab Tests, Chemotherapy Drugs, Medicine, etc

HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System): The HCPCS is a coding system for all services performed by a physician or supplier. It is based on the American Medical Association Physicians Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes and is augmented with codes for physician and non-physician services (such as ambulance and durable medical equipment (DME), which are not included in CPTs.

Modifiers: Modifiers denote that a certain procedure/service has been altered by a particular circumstance, but not changed in its definition, therefore the same code is used and a modifier is added to denote what has been altered.

Payment: In the Original Medicare Plan, this is the amount a doctor or supplier that accepts assignment can be paid. It includes what Medicare pays and any deductible, coinsurance, or copayment that the beneficiary must pay. It may be less than the actual amount a doctor or supplier charges.

    Description

This data collection contains summary statistics on population and housing subjects derived from the responses to the 2010 Census questionnaire. Population items include sex, age, average household size, household type, and relationship to householder such as nonrelative or child. Housing items include tenure (whether a housing unit is owner-occupied or renter-occupied), age of householder, and household size for occupied housing units. Selected aggregates and medians also are provided. The summary statistics are presented in 71 tables, which are tabulated for multiple levels of observation (called "summary levels" in the Census Bureau's nomenclature), including, but not limited to, regions, divisions, states, metropolitan/micropolitan areas, counties, county subdivisions, places, ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs), school districts, census tracts, American Indian and Alaska Native areas, tribal subdivisions, and Hawaiian home lands. There are 10 population tables shown down to the county level and 47 population tables and 14 housing tables shown down to the census tract level. Every table cell is represented by a separate variable in the data. Each table is iterated for up to 330 population groups, which are called "characteristic iterations" in the Census Bureau's nomenclature: the total population, 74 race categories, 114 American Indian and Alaska Native categories, 47 Asian categories, 43 Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander categories, and 51 Hispanic/not Hispanic groups. Moreover, the tables for some large summary areas (e.g., regions, divisions, and states) are iterated for portions of geographic areas ("geographic components" in the Census Bureau's nomenclature) such as metropolitan/micropolitan statistical areas and the principal cities of metropolitan statistical areas. The collection has a separate set of files for every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the National File. Each file set has 11 data files per characteristic iteration, a data file with geographic variables called the "geographic header file," and a documentation file called the "packing list" with information about the files in the file set. Altogether, the 53 file sets have 110,416 data files and 53 packing list files. Each file set is compressed in a separate ZIP archive (Datasets 1-56, 72, and 99). Another ZIP archive (Dataset 100) contains a Microsoft Access database shell and additional documentation files besides the codebook. The National File (Dataset 99) constitutes the National Update for Summary File 2. The National Update added summary levels for the United States as a whole, regions, divisions, and geographic areas that cross state lines such as Core Based Statistical Areas.

    Description

The purpose of the Museum Data Files (MDF) is to provide information about museums and related organizations in the United States. These data are a set of three files, based on museum discipline, and available through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The Museum Data Files contain information about museum location (including geocode data), museum discipline, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) and National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities codes, DUNS, EIN, Regional classifications (American Alliance of Museums and the Bureau of Economic Analysis categorization schemes) and IRS 990 revenue information. For more information, see IMLS's Data File Documentation and Users Guide. Previous files were posted under the name "Museum Universe Data File (MUDF)" in FY 2014 Q1, FY 2015 Q1, and FY 2015 Q3. IMLS has no plans to update the museum files. Other researchers are working with the data in the three museum files and will share their findings as these are available. Researchers, journalists, the public, local practitioners, and policymakers at the federal, state, and local levels use the MDF data for planning, evaluation, and policy making purposes. The latest MDF data can be downloaded in Comma Separated Values (CSV) format.

    Description

Global Surface Summary of the Day is derived from The Integrated Surface Hourly (ISH) dataset. The ISH dataset includes global data obtained from the USAF Climatology Center, located in the Federal Climate Complex with NCDC. The latest daily summary data are normally available 1-2 days after the date-time of the observations used in the daily summaries. The online data files begin with 1929 and are at the time of this writing at the Version 8 software level. Over 9000 stations' data are typically available. The daily elements included in the dataset (as available from each station) are: Mean temperature (.1 Fahrenheit) Mean dew point (.1 Fahrenheit) Mean sea level pressure (.1 mb) Mean station pressure (.1 mb) Mean visibility (.1 miles) Mean wind speed (.1 knots) Maximum sustained wind speed (.1 knots) Maximum wind gust (.1 knots) Maximum temperature (.1 Fahrenheit) Minimum temperature (.1 Fahrenheit) Precipitation amount (.01 inches) Snow depth (.1 inches) Indicator for occurrence of: Fog, Rain or Drizzle, Snow or Ice Pellets, Hail, Thunder, Tornado/Funnel Cloud Global summary of day data for 18 surface meteorological elements are derived from the synoptic/hourly observations contained in USAF DATSAV3 Surface data and Federal Climate Complex Integrated Surface Hourly (ISH). Historical data are generally available for 1929 to the present, with data from 1973 to the present being the most complete. For some periods, one or more countries' data may not be available due to data restrictions or communications problems. In deriving the summary of day data, a minimum of 4 observations for the day must be present (allows for stations which report 4 synoptic observations/day). Since the data are converted to constant units (e.g, knots), slight rounding error from the originally reported values may occur (e.g, 9.9 instead of 10.0). The mean daily values described below are based on the hours of operation for the station. For some stations/countries, the visibility will sometimes 'cluster' around a value (such as 10 miles) due to the practice of not reporting visibilities greater than certain distances. The daily extremes and totals--maximum wind gust, precipitation amount, and snow depth--will only appear if the station reports the data sufficiently to provide a valid value. Therefore, these three elements will appear less frequently than other values. Also, these elements are derived from the stations' reports during the day, and may comprise a 24-hour period which includes a portion of the previous day. The data are reported and summarized based on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT, 0000Z - 2359Z) since the original synoptic/hourly data are reported and based on GMT.

    Description

Summary Tape File 1 (STF 1) consists of four sets of computer-readable data files containing detailed tabulations of the nation's population and housing characteristics produced from the 1980 Census. This series is comprised of STF 1A, STF 1B, STF 1C, and STF 1D. The STF 1 National Subset file was created by ICPSR in conjunction with the National Archive of Computerized Data on Aging (NACDA). This file is a subset of STF 1 and has data for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, for each of the approximately 3,150 counties and county equivalents in the United States, and for approximately 450 incorporated and unincorporated cities in the nation with populations of 50,000 persons or more. There are 321 substantive data variables organized in the form of 59 "tables," as well as standard geographic identification variables. All of the data items contained in STF 1 were tabulated from the "complete count" or "100-percent" questions included on the 1980 Census questionnaire. The data are provided in the original Census Bureau format so they can be accessed by CENSPAC and other software packages that are oriented toward STF 1 data in the format provided by the Census Bureau.

    Description

This release presents experimental statistics from the Mental Health Services Data Set (MHSDS), using final submissions for April 2016 and provisional submissions for May 2016. This is the fifth monthly release from the dataset, which replaces the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Dataset (MHLDDS). As well as analysis of waiting times, first published in March 2016, this release includes elements of the reports that were previously included in monthly reports produced from final MHLDDS submissions. In this publication a new data file has been produced to present the data for people identified as having learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder (LDA) characteristics. Because of the scope of the changes to the dataset (resulting in the name change to MHSDS and the new name for these monthly reports) it will take time to re-introduce all possible measures that were previously part of the MHLDS Monthly Reports. Additional measures will be added to this report in the coming months. Further details about these changes and the consultation that informed were announced in November. From January 2016 the release includes information on people in children and young people's mental health services, including CAMHS, for the first time. Learning disabilities and autism services have been included since September 2014. This release of final data for April 2016 comprises: - An Executive Summary, which presents national-level analysis across the whole dataset and also for some specific service areas and age groups - Data tables about access and waiting times in mental health services for the based on provisional data for the period 1 March 2016 to 31 May 2016. - A monthly data file which presents 92 measures for mental health, learning disability and autism services at National, Provider and Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) level. - A Currency and Payments (CAP) data file, containing three measures relating to people assigned to Adult Mental Health Care Clusters. Further measures will be added in future releases. - A data file containing the measures relating to people with learning disabilities and/or autism. - Exploratory analysis of the coverage and completeness of access and waiting times statistics for people entering the Early Intervention in Psychosis pathway. - A set of provider level data quality measures for both months. The report comprises of validity measures for various data items at National and Provider level. From the publication of April data, a coverage report is included showing the number of providers submitting each month and number of records submitted. - A metadata file, which provide contextual information for each measure, including a full description, current uses, method used for analysis and some notes on usage. We will release the reports as experimental statistics until the characteristics of data flowed using the new data standard are understood. A correction has been made to this publication on 10 September 2018. This amendment relates to statistics in the monthly CSV data file; the specific measures effected are listed in the “Corrected Measures” CSV. All listed measures have now been corrected. NHS Digital apologises for any inconvenience caused.
