In the final quarter of 2023, amazon.com recorded its highest revenue ever, generating a total of 169 billion U.S. dollars. Amazon's labor dwindles When taking a closer look at the number of workers that amazon.com has employed over the past decade, it is evident that there has been a noticeable decline in recent years. Even with this decrease in employee count, Amazon still ranks second only to Walmart when comparing leading global companies by the number of employees. To further illustrate, Walmart employed a workforce of 2.1 million individuals in 2023, while Amazon employed 1.5 million.
