    This layer shows the general distribution of Bighorn Sheep herds in Nevada. Data provided by the Nevada Department of Wildlife. Herds are labeled by subspecies, approximate date established, and associated mountain range. This map is part of the Storymap "Bringing Bighorns Back from the Brink" developed for the USFWS Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program's "Partner with a Payer" initiative.This layer is intended to show a generalized view of bighorn sheep in Nevada; it is not intended as a resource for specific boundaries. For a direct link to Nevada's publicly available geospatial data, visit the Nevada Department of Wildlife's GIS Data Clearinghouse.
