The final STBL was conducted in May 2017, and the final E.2 was released on August 2, 2017. The STBL has been replaced by a new Small Business Lending Survey that commenced in February 2018. The new survey is being managed and administered by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Results from this new survey can be found here.
The Federal Reserve established a Main Street Lending Program (Program) to help credit flow to small and medium-sized for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations that were in sound financial condition before the onset of the COVID-19 crisis, but needed loans to help maintain their operations until they recovered from, or adapted to, the impacts of the pandemic. The Program terminated on January 8, 2021. The Federal Reserve filed these reports with Congress pursuant to section 13(3) of the Federal Reserve Act concerning the lending facilities established by the Board.

An index that can be used to gauge broad financial conditions and assess how these conditions are related to future economic growth. The index is broadly consistent with how the FRB/US model generally relates key financial variables to economic activity. The index aggregates changes in seven financial variables: the federal funds rate, the 10-year Treasury yield, the 30-year fixed mortgage rate, the triple-B corporate bond yield, the Dow Jones total stock market index, the Zillow house price index, and the nominal broad dollar index using weights implied by the FRB/US model and other models in use at the Federal Reserve Board. These models relate households' spending and businesses' investment decisions to changes in short- and long-term interest rates, house and equity prices, and the exchange value of the dollar, among other factors. These financial variables are weighted using impulse response coefficients (dynamic multipliers) that quantify the cumulative effects of unanticipated permanent changes in each financial variable on real gross domestic product (GDP) growth over the subsequent year. The resulting index is named Financial Conditions Impulse on Growth (FCI-G). One appealing feature of the FCI-G is that its movements can be used to measure whether financial conditions have tightened or loosened, to summarize how changes in financial conditions are associated with real GDP growth over the following year, or both.

The FRB/US model is a large-scale estimated general equilibrium model of the U.S. economy that has been in use at the Federal Reserve Board since 1996. The model is designed for detailed analysis of monetary and fiscal policies. One distinctive feature compared to dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) models is the ability to switch between alternative assumptions about expectations formation of economic agents. Another is the models level of detail: FRB/US contains all major components of the product and income sides of the U.S. national accounts. Since its original development, the model has continuously undergone changes to cope with the evolving structure of the economy, including conceptual revisions to sectoral definitions of the national accounts.
The Survey of Consumer Finances (SCF) is normally a triennial cross-sectional survey of U.S. families. The survey data include information on families balance sheets, pensions, income, and demographic characteristics. Information is also included from related surveys of pension providers and the earlier such surveys conducted by the Federal Reserve Board. No other study for the country collects comparable information. Data from the SCF are widely used, from analysis at the Federal Reserve and other branches of government to scholarly work at the major economic research centers. The survey has contained a panel element over two periods. Respondents to the 1983 survey were re-interviewed in 1986 and 1989. Respondents to the 2007 survey were re-interviewed in 2009.The study is sponsored by the Federal Reserve Board in cooperation with the Department of the Treasury. Since 1992, data have been collected by the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago.

The Board would use the FR 3076 to seek input from users or potential users of the Board's public website, social media, outreach, and communication responsibilities. The survey would be conducted with a diverse audience of consumers, banks, media, government, educators, and others to gather information about their visit to the Board's public website. Responses to the survey would be used to help improve the usability and offerings on the Board's public website and other online public communications. The frequency of the survey and content of the questions would vary as needs arise for feedback on different resources and from different audiences. The Board anticipates the FR 3076 may be conducted up to 12 times per year, although the survey may not be conducted that frequently. In addition, the Board anticipates conducting up to four focus group sessions per year.
