This pilot dataset provides a non-spatial relationship between unit_of_property_id and untitled_land_id from the NZ Property Untitled Land (pilot) dataset. This table can be used to connect to parcels using the NZ Untitled Land-Primary Parcel Association List. This table provides a PDMF-compliant link between property and untitled land record.
The term "Untitled Land" has been chosen to represent land for which no known record of title exists. Title to the land may exist, but if so, it is unknown or unrecorded. The administrator of this land may be evidenced by records other than a title, such as a gazette notice pursuant to a statutory action.
The land parcels incorporated in an untitled land record may be the same as those that are incorporated in a title. Frequently such titles effectively constitute a package of rights to resources on the land, rather than the land itself, which for this purpose we consider to remain untitled until a title is issued for it.
While efforts have been made to address accuracy and data quality, Toitū Te Whenua LINZ does not provide a guarantee that there is no existing title to the land incorporated in an untitled land record.
The data is updated on a weekly basis.
Related tables Please refer to the NZ Properties Data Dictionary for detailed metadata and information about this table and its relationships to other tables in this collection.

Every January, Finance mails New York City property owners a Notice of Property Value (NOPV). This important notice has information about your property’s market and assessed values. Finance determines your property’s value every year, according to State law. The Cityʼs property tax rates are applied to the assessed value to calculate your property taxes for the next tax year. You get your first tax bill for the year in June. If you believe the values or property descriptions on the NOPV are not correct.
