In addition to the regular monthly reports there are a series of quarterly reports which include statistics on staff in Trusts and CCGs and information for NHS Support Organisations and Central Bodies. The quarterly analysis is published each September (June data), December (September data), March (December data) and June (March data). Additional healthcare workforce data relating to GPs and the Independent Healthcare Provider workforce are also available via the Related Links below. This publication of April 2020 data features a supplementary file which shows trends in HCHS workforce data observed during the NHS response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Etr.csv contains parent NHS Trusts. All three NHS Trust files follow the same format and conventions, although fields 14 and 15 are only populated for NHS Trust Site records (thus found only in the ets file). This data is for current organisations, plus data for organisations that have closed

NHS Support Agencies and Shared Services

NHS Support Agencies in England: including current organisations and data for organisations that have closed in the current or previous financial year. These take the form of ‘Shared Services’ and ‘Health Informatics Services’, which are formed when two or more organisations that work closely

together geographically and operationally, decide to centralise and merge common services (such as Human Resources, IT or Finance Departments).

This information standard sets out the scope and use of the NHS Number, which is the unique identifier for a patient within the NHS in England and Wales. There is an overarching standard, supplemented by two use cases for how the standard should be used in general practice and secondary care

Context

Mental Health Services Monthly Statistics

This publication provides the most timely picture available of people using NHS funded secondary mental health, learning disabilities and autism services in England. These are experimental statistics which are undergoing development and evaluation. This information will be of use to people needing access to information quickly for operational decision making and other purposes. More detailed information on the quality and completeness of these statistics is made available later in our Mental Health Bulletin: Annual Report publication series.

• COVID-19 and the production of statistics

Due to the coronavirus illness (COVID-19) disruption, it would seem that this is now starting to affect the quality and coverage of some of our statistics, such as an increase in non-submissions for some datasets. We are also starting to see some different patterns in the submitted data. For example, fewer patients are being referred to hospital and more appointments being carried out via phone/telemedicine/email. Therefore, data should be interpreted with care over the COVID-19 period.

This dataset is to solve the challenge- UNCOVER COVID-19 Challenge, United Network for COVID Data Exploration and Research. This data is scraped in hopes of solving the task - Mental health impact and support services.

Task Details Can we predict changes in demand for mental health services and how can we ensure access? (by region, social/economic/demographic factors, etc). Are there signs of shifts in mental health challenges across demographies, whether improvements or declines, as a result of COVID-19 and the various measures implement to contain the pandemic?

The information standard provides reference data about the Organisations that comprise the health and social care services, including non-direct-care Organisations, primarily in England but also in the other UK-constituent countries.

Engage with users of the NHS App - a simple and secure way for patients registered with a GP surgery in England to access a range of services on their smartphone or tablet.

Search for free slots and book appointments using the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard for health and care data exchange.

Census workforce data for those parts of the Healthcare workforce that are currently collected within the workforce Minimum Dataset (wMDS) as at 31 March 2015, giving national level statistics for each area covering Hospital and Community Services (Medical and Dental staff; and Non-medical staff); General and Personal Medical Services; and Independent Sector Healthcare Providers.

As a new collection its results must be further understood, as such these statistics are experimental and subject to change.

The NHS complaints procedure is the statutorily based mechanism for dealing with complaints about NHS care and treatment and all NHS organisations in England are required to operate the procedure. The annual collection is a count of written complaints made by (or on behalf of) patients, received between 1 April and 31 March each year.

From 2015/16, the data is published quarterly. The quarterly data remain provisional and experimental and therefore subject to change.

The Surplus Land collection has existed since 2008 to provide information to the Department of Health, the Homes and Communities Agency and Government Property Unit on sites that can be disposed of, thereby contributing to the Government Public Sector Land Disposal programme.

NHS Hospital & Community Health Service (HCHS) monthly workforce statistics - Provisional Statistics: Timeseries of Reasons for Leaving and Staff Movements

NHS Workforce statistics on bank staff employed directly by NHS trusts and paid through the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) pay and human resources system.

NHS Classifications ICD-10

NHS Hospital and Community Health Service (HSCS) monthly workforce statistics: qualified nursing, midwifery and health visiting staff in England, by area and level.

This annual report primarily presents information on Sexual and Reproductive Health services (family planning clinics and clinics run by voluntary organisations such as Brook) in England. It includes national and regional tables as well as tables by local authority and provider organisation.

Information on Sexual and Reproductive Health services excludes services provided in out-patient clinics and those provided by General Practitioners.

These statistics relate to the contracted positions within English NHS organisations and may include those where the person assigned to the position is temporarily absent, for example on maternity leave. Full Time Equivalent (FTE) refers to the proportion of each role’s full time contracted hours that the post holder is contracted to work. 1 would indicate they work a full set of hours, 0.5 that they work half time.
