This layer tracks subdivision boundaries for platted subdivisions in the City of Norman. That includes all Final Plats, Certificates of Survey, and Short Form Plats. The layer was developed in 1998, and is derived from the parcel data maintained by the Planning Department. It has been continually updated since that time as subdivisions are added or modified. The data also contains official Cleveland County recording information such as name, recording Book/Page, filing date, and type of plat.

This layer tracks Historic Districts within the City of Norman. Three Historic Districts have been identified by the Norman Historic District Commission: Chautauqua HD, 1995; Miller HD, 1997; Southridge HD 2016. The regulations imposed by such districts shall be in addition to the regulations of the underlying zoning district applicable to the subject parcel. Exterior changes to structures, including window replacement, and the addition of accessory buildings on properties in these districts are subject to review and approval by the Historic District Commission. Please consult the Historic Preservation Handbook for requirements.

This layer tracks the Norman City Council Ward boundaries. There are eight wards within the City of Norman. Citizens in each ward elect a councilmember to represent them on the City Council. City Council is made up of the elected representatives from each ward plus the citywide elected Mayor. A reapportionment commission is set up to determine whether ward boundary changes are needed in order to bring a better balance of population between wards.Updated September 13, 2022 by O-2223-8.
