    Abstract

This dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.

Local Land Services brings together agricultural production advice, biosecurity, natural resource management and emergency management into a single organisation. Department of Primary Industries' extension arm, Catchment Management Authorities (CMA) and Livestock Health and Pest Authorities (LHPA).

Eleven LLS regions, managed by 11 local boards cover NSW: Central Tablelands, Central West, Greater Sydney, Hunter, Murray, North Coast, Northern Tablelands, North West, Riverina, South East and Western regions.

Local Land Services regional boundaries were determined in 2013 following extensive community consultation. Each LLS region is a collation of Local Government Areas (LGA), with four exceptions where the LGA is split across two LLS regions. Those exceptions occur in Bogan, Carrathool, Hay and Jerilderie local council areas. www.lls.nsw.gov.au/our-regions/whats-my-region

LLS boundaries supercede the former CMA boundaries

LLS is an amalgamation of agricultural production advice, biosecurity, natural resource management and emergency management into a single organisation.

Initial source - Digitised from boundaries, shown on cronaflex master positives of NSW Department of Lands medium and large scale Standard Cadastral Map Series. These boundaries were derived from original gazetted descriptions. Subsequent digital data updated from Gazetted notifications

Local Government Areas - An area of contiguous land, the boundaries of which have been determined by the Governor by proclamation in the Government Gazette, which defines an area to be administered by a local government council

These vegetation types are used in the NSW Government's assessment tools such as the Property Vegetation Plan (PVP) Developer and the Biobanking vegetation types database. The project study area is highly vegetated, and encompasses the Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley LGAs, covering an area of 1,441,942 hectares. Additionally, the Jervis Bay portion of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is included. This project classified 1,189,363 ha of native vegetation (80.5% of the project study area), including 132 Biometric vegetation types within 11 NSW Formations and 39 NSW Classes. Within these, a total of 22 EECs are represented. Mapping was undertaken by Office of Environment and Heritage (Regional Operations Division) in close consultation with National Parks and Wildlife, Southern Rivers Catchment Management Authority, and Shoalhaven City Council , Bega Valley Shire Councils and Eurobodalla Shire Councils. Version 2, with amendments based on field verification and external review. Version 2.1 is a minor update. Deletion of one attribute field, Cleared_ , and addition of three attribute fields, PCTID, PCTName and PCTPercentCleared, to align with the Bionet Vegetation Map Data Standard, version 1.0 (https://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/research-and-publications/publications-search/bionet-vegetation-map-data-standard-version-1). PCTID populated using Biometric Id / PCT Id relationship defined in the archived over-cleared vegetation types data sheet (https://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/projects/biometric-dataset.htm) . PCTName populated from Bionet Vegetation Classification database (https://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/research/Visclassification.htm). PCTPercentCleared is populated from PCTPercentCleared in Bionet Vegetation Classification Web Service at 20.10.2018 (https://data.bionet.nsw.gov.au/). . 🇦🇺 Australia English Export DataAccess APINSW Administrative Boundaries Theme multiCRSMultiCRS service - supporting requests in multiple Coordinate Reference Systems -Information SheetA new series of ‘multiCRS’ web services have been published to support GDA2020. These new ‘multiCRS’ services: · Have a spatial reference of GDA2020 · Support alignment with GDA2020, GDA94 or [WGS 84-aligned-to-GDA2020] GIS environments, using built-in server-side transformations: o GDA94 < NTv2-CPD > GDA2020 o GDA94 < NTv2-CPD > WGS 84 aligned to GDA2020 o GDA2020 < NULL > WGS 84 aligned to GDA2020 Note: ESRI software will automatically align by transforming from the sourceSpatialReference (GDA94). Other software may need to set client-side transformations from the SpatialReference (GDA2020). Note: Client-side transformation(s) can be used to over-ride these default transformations. The original [WGS 84-aligned-to-GDA2020] is still available, without the ‘multiCRS’ suffix. In due course, and allowing time for user feedback and testing, it is intended that the original service name will adopt this new 'multiCRS' functionality. Metadata Portal Metadata Information Content TitleNSW Administrative Boundaries Theme multiCRSContent TypeHosted Feature LayerDescriptionThe Administrative Boundaries theme from NSW Foundation Spatial Data Framework (FSDF) is a collection of legislative, regulatory, political, maritime and general administrative boundaries sourced from local and state boundary datasets. In due course, and allowing time for user feedback and testing, it is intended that these original services will adopt the new multiCRS functionality. Metadata Portal Metadata Information Content TitleNSW Administrative Boundaries Theme - ABS Statistical Areas Level 4Content TypeHosted Feature LayerDescriptionAustralian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Statistical Geographical Standard Boundaries SA 4 divides an area of interest throughout the state of NSW on which statistics are collected for purposes under the Census and Statistics Act 1905 (Cth). The Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) brings together in one framework all of the regions which the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and many other organisations use to collect, release and analyse geographically classified statistics. The ASGS ensures that these statistics are comparable and geospatially integrated and provides users with a coherent set of standard regions so that they can access, visualise, analyse and understand statistics. The 2016 ASGS will be used for the 2016 Census of Population and Housing and progressively introduced into other ABS data collections. The ABS encourages the use of the ASGS by other organisations to improve the comparability and usefulness of statistics generally, and in analysis and visualisation of statistical and other data. The ABS Structures are a hierarchy of regions developed for the release of ABS statistical information. The main components are as follows:Statistical Areas Level 1Statistical Areas Level 2Statistical Areas Level 3Statistical Areas Level 4Regional Boundaries (Local Government Area, Suburb)The Australian Bureau of Statistics Geographical Standard Boundaries - Statistical Areas are used to define geographical areas to support statistical and socio-economic analysis at a state and regional scale. They are useful for analytical purposes within statistical boundaries through the aggregation of a wide swath of data and information. The ABS maintains the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) and the Australian Standard Geographical Classification (ASGC) for pre-2011 census information. In addition to the NSW Administrative Boundaries Theme Australian Bureau of Statistics also provides this data via a web service direct from ABS.Further standards, specifications and classifications can be found at:Australian Bureau of Statistics StandardsAustralian Bureau of Statistics ClassificationsThe regions defined in the ABS Structures will not change until the next Census in 2021.
