Male and Female Population Under 5 Years, Male and Female Population over 85 years, Male and Female Total Population for Age Groups, Male and Female Population Between 5 and 9 years, Male and Female Population Between 10 and 14 years, Male and Female Population Between 15 and 19 years, Male and Female Population Between 20 and 24 years, Male and Female Population Between 25 and 29 years, Male and Female Population Between 30 and 34 years, Male and Female Population Between 35 and 39 years, and 9 more
    Measurement technique
The data presented in this dataset is derived from the latest U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2018-2022 5-Year Estimates. To measure the three variables, namely (a) male population, (b) female population and (b) total population, we initially analyzed and categorized the data for each of the age groups. For age groups we divided it into roughly a 5 year bucket for ages between 0 and 85. For over 85, we aggregated data into a single group for all ages. Description
    About this dataset

    Context

The dataset tabulates the data for the Egypt, AR population pyramid, which represents the Egypt population distribution across age and gender, using estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2018-2022 5-Year Estimates. It lists the male and female population for each age group, along with the total population for those age groups. Higher numbers at the bottom of the table suggest population growth, whereas higher numbers at the top indicate declining birth rates. Furthermore, the dataset can be utilized to understand the youth dependency ratio, old-age dependency ratio, total dependency ratio, and potential support ratio.

    Key observations

    • Youth dependency ratio, which is the number of children aged 0-14 per 100 persons aged 15-64, for Egypt, AR, is 12.5.
    • Old-age dependency ratio, which is the number of persons aged 65 or over per 100 persons aged 15-64, for Egypt, AR, is 70.0.
    • Total dependency ratio for Egypt, AR is 82.5.
    • Potential support ratio, which is the number of youth (working age population) per elderly, for Egypt, AR is 1.4.

The underlying input data are usually household budget surveys conducted by government agencies that track spending of selected households over a given period. The data is shown in nominal terms which means that monetary data is valued at prices of the respective year and has not been adjusted for inflation. For future years the price level has been projected as well. The data has been converted from local currencies to US$ using the average exchange rate of the respective year. For forecast years, the exchange rate has been projected as well. The timelines therefore incorporate currency effects.Find more key insights for the total consumer spending on education in countries like Morocco and Sudan.

    Description

The real per capita consumer spending on education in Egypt was forecast to continuously increase between 2024 and 2029 by in total 60.5 U.S. dollars (+56.27 percent). After the eighth consecutive increasing year, the real education-related per capita spending is estimated to reach 167.96 U.S. dollars and therefore a new peak in 2029. Consumer spending, in this case education-related spending per capita, refers to the domestic demand of private households and non-profit institutions serving households (NPISHs). Spending by corporations and the state is not included. The forecast has been adjusted for the expected impact of COVID-19.Consumer spending is the biggest component of the gross domestic product as computed on an expenditure basis in the context of national accounts. The other components in this approach are consumption expenditure of the state, gross domestic investment as well as the net exports of goods and services. Consumer spending is broken down according to the United Nations' Classification of Individual Consumption By Purpose (COICOP). The shown data adheres broadly to group tenth As not all countries and regions report data in a harmonized way, all data shown here has been processed by Statista to allow the greatest level of comparability possible. The underlying input data are usually household budget surveys conducted by government agencies that track spending of selected households over a given period. The data has been converted from local currencies to US$ using the average constant exchange rate of the base year 2017. The timelines therefore do not incorporate currency effects. The data is shown in real terms which means that monetary data is valued at constant prices of a given base year (in this case: 2017). To attain constant prices the nominal forecast has been deflated with the projected consumer price index for the respective category.Find more key insights for the real per capita consumer spending on education in countries like Algeria and Sudan.

    Measurement technique
The data presented in this dataset is derived from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year Estimates. The dataset covers the years 2010 to 2023, representing 14 years of data. To analyze income differences between genders (male and female), we conducted an initial data analysis and categorization. Subsequently, we adjusted these figures for inflation using the Consumer Price Index retroactive series (R-CPI-U-RS) based on current methodologies. Description
    About this dataset

    Context

The dataset presents median income data over a decade or more for males and females categorized by Total, Full-Time Year-Round (FT), and Part-Time (PT) employment in Egypt. It showcases annual income, providing insights into gender-specific income distributions and the disparities between full-time and part-time work. The dataset can be utilized to gain insights into gender-based pay disparity trends and explore the variations in income for male and female individuals.

    Key observations: Insights from 2023

Based on our analysis ACS 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates, we present the following observations: - All workers, aged 15 years and older: In Egypt, the median income for all workers aged 15 years and older, regardless of work hours, was $16,750 for males and $14,792 for females.

Based on these incomes, we observe a gender gap percentage of approximately 12%, indicating a significant disparity between the median incomes of males and females in Egypt. Women, regardless of work hours, still earn 88 cents to each dollar earned by men, highlighting an ongoing gender-based wage gap.

    - Full-time workers, aged 15 years and older: In Egypt, for full-time, year-round workers aged 15 years and older, the Census Bureau did not report the median income for both males and females due to an insufficient number of sample observations.

As income data for both males and females was unavailable, conducting a comprehensive analysis of gender-based pay disparity in the town of Egypt was not possible.

    Content

When available, the data consists of estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. All incomes have been adjusting for inflation and are presented in 2023-inflation-adjusted dollars.

    • Male
    • Female

    Employment type classifications include:

    • Full-time, year-round: A full-time, year-round worker is a person who worked full time (35 or more hours per week) and 50 or more weeks during the previous calendar year.
    • Part-time: A part-time worker is a person who worked less than 35 hours per week during the previous calendar year.

    Variables / Data Columns
