A vector line file of public/private streets compiled from orthoimagery and other sources that is attributed with street names, addresses, route numbers, routing attributes, and includes a related table of alternate/alias street names.

Vector polygon map data of property parcels from New York State containing 2,789,211 features.

Property parcel GIS map data consists of detailed information about individual land parcels, including their boundaries, ownership details, and geographic coordinates.

Property parcel data can be used to analyze and visualize land-related information for purposes such as real estate assessment, urban planning, or environmental management.

Available for viewing and sharing as a map in a Koordinates map viewer. This data is also available for export to DWG for CAD, PDF, KML, CSV, and GIS data formats, including Shapefile, MapInfo, and Geodatabase.

The polygons in this dataset represent boundaries of New York City business districts under The New York State Empire Zone (EZ) Program which offers a wide array of incentives including tax credits and utility discounts. This feature service only contains parcel data for NYS State-owned tax parcels. 2024 Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data NYS ITS Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS).Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel. The State-owned tax parcel polygons in this file are the result of a best effort selection based on the Primary Owner and Additional Owner fields in the NYS Statewide Tax Parcels file, Geospatial Services data, State agency data, and online research. These same data and information are also the basis for a best effort assignment of a NYS agency name (listed in the NYS Name field) to most tax parcel polygons where the Owner Type field value is State. This Basic Viewer is intended to allow users to view datasets maintained by NYS Geospatial Services. These layers are pre-loaded -- to explore our datasets, select the “Layers” button. Visitors can also add data from the GIS Clearinghouse, URL data layers, or their own local GIS data by selecting the “Add Data” button. Where counties share their parcel data, parcels may be viewed as well.The Basic Viewer App now includes a Surveyor Bookmark with reference data and survey information. This bookmark allows for a quick way to display data and layers that Surveyors may find useful - NOAA CORS, NGS Sheets, Hillshade, and more.

This data set features a hyperlink to the New York State Department of Transportation’s (NYSDOT) Roadway Inventory System (RIS) Viewer web page, which includes a link to an interactive map. The RIS Data Viewer is a geospatially based Geographic Information System (GIS) application for displaying data contained in the roadway inventory database. The interactive map has two viewable data categories or ‘layers’. The two layers include: Federal Aid Eligible Public Roadway System and Non-Federal Aid Eligible State Routes throughout New York State.

Publication Date: JAN 2018. Centroid point locations for cities, towns, villages, tribal communities, neighborhoods, and unincorporated places in New York State. Places that cross county boundaries have only one point location and one county assigned. The Unpublished Digital Surficial Geologic-GIS Map of Gateway National Recreation Area and Vicinity, New Jersey and New York is composed of GIS data layers and GIS tables in a 10.1 file geodatabase (gwsf_geology.gdb), a 10.1 ArcMap (.MXD) map document (gwsf_geology.mxd), individual 10.1 layer (.LYR) files for each GIS data layer, an ancillary map information (.PDF) document (gate_geology.pdf) which contains source map unit descriptions, as well as other source map text, figures and tables, metadata in FGDC text (.TXT) and FAQ (.HTML) formats, and a GIS readme file (gwsf_gis_readme.pdf). Please read the gwsf_gis_readme.pdf for information pertaining to the proper extraction of the file geodatabase and other map files. To request GIS data in ESRI 10.1 shapefile format contact Stephanie O’Meara (stephanie.omeara@colostate.edu; see contact information below). The data is also available as a 2.2 KMZ/KML file for use in Google Earth, however, this format version of the map is limited in data layers presented and in access to GRI ancillary table information. Google Earth software is available for free at: http://www.google.com/earth/index.html. Users are encouraged to only use the Google Earth data for basic visualization, and to use the GIS data for any type of data analysis or investigation. The data were completed as a component of the Geologic Resources Inventory (GRI) program, a National Park Service (NPS) Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) Division funded program that is administered by the NPS Geologic Resources Division (GRD). Source geologic maps and data used to complete this GRI digital dataset were provided by the following: New Jersey Geological Survey and New York State Museum. Detailed information concerning the sources used and their contribution the GRI product are listed in the Source Citation section(s) of this metadata record (gwsf_metadata_faq.html; available at http://nrdata.nps.gov/geology/gri_data/gis/gate/gwsf_metadata_faq.html). Users of this data are cautioned about the locational accuracy of features within this dataset. Based on the source map scale of 1:100,000 and United States National Map Accuracy Standards features are within (horizontally) 127 meters or 416.7 feet of their actual location as presented by this dataset. Users of this data should thus not assume the location of features is exactly where they are portrayed in Google Earth, ArcGIS or other software used to display this dataset. All GIS and ancillary tables were produced as per the NPS GRI Geology-GIS Geodatabase Data Model v. 2.3. (available at: http://science.nature.nps.gov/im/inventory/geology/GeologyGISDataModel.cfm). The GIS data projection is NAD83, UTM Zone 18N, however, for the KML/KMZ format the data is projected upon export to WGS84 Geographic, the native coordinate system used by Google Earth. The data is within the area of interest of Gateway National Recreation Area.

Boundaries were revised to 1:24,000-scale positional accuracy. Currently, boundary changes are made as needed based on authoritative sources. The file was originally a compilation of U.S. Geological Survey 1:100,000-scale digital vector files and NYS Department of Transportation 1:24,000-scale and 1:75,000-scale digital vector files. Boundaries were revised to 1:24,000-scale positional accuracy and selectively updated based on municipal boundary reviews and NYS Department of State Local Law filings for annexations, dissolutions, and incorporations. Currently, boundary changes are made based on NYS Department of State Local Law filings (http://locallaws.dos.ny.gov/). Additional updates and corrections are made as needed in partnership with municipalities.
