The Digital City Map (DCM) data represents street lines and other features shown on the City Map, which is the official street map of the City of New York. The City Map consists of 5 different sets of maps, one for each borough, totaling over 8000 individual paper maps. The DCM datasets were created in an ongoing effort to digitize official street records and bring them together with other street information to make them easily accessible to the public. The Digital City Map (DCM) is comprised of seven datasets; Digital City Map, Street Center Line, City Map Alterations, Arterial Highways and Major Streets, Street Name Changes (areas), Street Name Changes (lines), and Street Name Changes (points).

The dataset contains the metadata provided on the NYC Honorary Street Names Map. The dataset will include City Council Introduction Number, the local law enactment number and date, category of change, borough, new name of the street or intersection, present name, limits, zip code, Introduced by Council Member(s), Biographical information of the individual, Notes, Longitude and Latitude coordinates.

This data was collected as part of the Map the Moment initiative, a volunteer project to document the artwork and changes to the streetscape following the killing of George Floyd and the demonstrations that followed. This data was collected by Lisa Conte and processed by Joe Graham-Felsen. They used a Canon 5D Mark 3 to scan this data and capture the various murals that appeared throughout the city. West Broadway is a street in New York City that runs north to south, stretching from West Houston Street and terminating in the Tribeca neighborhood of Lower Manhattan. This street is home to many high-end retail spaces and, amidst the Black Lives Matter demonstrations that defined the summer months of 2020, it saw thousands of protesters. Like many commercial spaces that boarded their windows with plywood, the boarded-up storefronts on this street became canvases for local artists and BLM supporters to express messages of justice and solidarity. In 2016 NYC Parks contracted with the UVM Spatial Analysis Lab to use modern remote sensing and object-based image analysis to create a new wetlands map for New York City. Data inputs include Light Detection and Ranging Data, State and Federal Wetland Inventories, soils, and field data. Because the map was conservative in its wetlands predictions, NYC Parks staff improved the map through a series of desktop and field verification efforts. From June to November 2020, NYC Parks staff field verified the majority of wetlands on NYC Parks' property. The map will be opportunistically updated depending on available field information and delineations. Another dedicated field verification effort has not been planned. As of June 2021, no subsequent updates to the data are scheduled. Original field names were updated to field names that are easier to understand. This dataset was developed to increase awareness regarding the location and extent of wetlands to promote restoration and conservation in New York City. This map does not supersede U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) wetlands maps and has no jurisdictional authority. It should be used alongside NWI and NYSDEC datasets as a resource for identifying likely locations of wetlands in New York City. Mapped features vary in the confidence of their verification status, ranging from "Unverified" (meaning the feature exists in its original remotely mapped form and has not been ground truthed) to "Verified - Wetland Delineation" (meaning the boundaries and type of wetland have been verified during an official wetland delineation). Because of the rapid nature of the protocol and the scale of data collection, this product is not a subsitute for on-site investigations and field delineations. The dataset also includes broad classifications for each wetland type, e.g. estuarine, emergent wetland, forested wetland, shrub/scrub wetland, or water. Cowardin classifcations were not used given rapid verfication methods. The accuracy of the wetlands map has improved over time as a result of the verification process. Fields were added over time as necessitated by the workflow and values were updated with information, either from the field verifications, delineation reports, or desktop analysis. In order to appropriately manage City parks and allocate resources, NYC Parks has implemented three tiers of management [below the Borough level]. These three tiers can be represented as administrative geographic boundaries and are defined below: District - One or more parks that are combined and generally align with New York City Community Boards. Sector - One or more Park Districts that are combined in order share resources for daily maintenance. The data represent web-scraping of hyperlinks from a selection of environmental stewardship organizations that were identified in the 2017 NYC Stewardship Mapping and Assessment Project (STEW-MAP) (USDA 2017). There are two data sets: 1) the original scrape containing all hyperlinks within the websites and associated attribute values (see "README" file); 2) a cleaned and reduced dataset formatted for network analysis. For dataset 1: Organizations were selected from from the 2017 NYC Stewardship Mapping and Assessment Project (STEW-MAP) (USDA 2017), a publicly available, spatial data set about environmental stewardship organizations working in New York City, USA (N = 719). To create a smaller and more manageable sample to analyze, all organizations that intersected (i.e., worked entirely within or overlapped) the NYC borough of Staten Island were selected for a geographically bounded sample. Only organizations with working websites and that the web scraper could access were retained for the study (n = 78). The websites were scraped between 09 and 17 June 2020 to a maximum search depth of ten using the snaWeb package (version 1.0.1, Stockton 2020) in the R computational language environment (R Core Team 2020). For dataset 2: The complete scrape results were cleaned, reduced, and formatted as a standard edge-array (node1, node2, edge attribute) for network analysis. See "READ ME" file for further details.
