The Department of City Planning (DCP) processes land use applications submitted by City or other public agencies and other (private) applicants. This data set provides information on land use applications, specifically the project tracking and description data related to approximately 30,000 projects since the late 1970s.
ZAP project data appears on NYC Planning - Zoning Application Portal Search. It includes data migrated from the prior applications tracking system (LUCATS) and covers all projects that have been "Noticed" (that they will appear before the City Planning Commission in 30 or more days for Certification as complete for the ULURP process to begin) or Filed (a CEQR or Land Use application has been formally submitted to the Department for review) through completion (approval, disapproval, withdrawal, or termination). For more information on the land use and environmental review application process see: Application Process Overview

The Capital Planning Platform is a new resource for collaborative planning, powered by open data and open source technology. The New York City Department of City Planning pioneered open data with Bytes of the Big Apple a decade ago. With the creation of the DCP"s Capital Planning Division in 2014, we envisioned a new civic technology resource: the Capital Planning Platform - a place for planners to access the maps, data, and analytics that they need to plan for public investments in neighborhoods and collaborate with one another. The NYC Facilities Explorer (beta) is a first step in building this vision. Over the months and years to come, we plan to add more map layers, new and improved datasets, and new analysis tools to this mapping platform to help automate a broad array of planning analyses and make the capital planning process more efficient, coordinated, and strategic across the public and private sectors in New York City. The Capital Planning Platform complements other data and maps that DCP produces. We also encourage users to explore the following resources, among others, on DCP"s website.NYC Census FactFinder - An interactive tool for creating demographic, social, economic, and housing profiles for neighborhoods and user-defined groupings of Census tracts.PLUTO and MapPLUTO - Extensive land use and geographic data at the tax lot level in multiple formats.Zoning and Land use Application (ZoLA) – ZoLA provides a simple way to research zoning regulations in New York City.Waterfront Access Map - This interactive map identifies and provides information about New York City’s inventory of publicly-accessible waterfront spaces.Community Portal - The DCP Community Portal offers resources on a variety of topics related to land use, community planning, and demographic trends for each of New York City’s 59 Community Boards
Dataset contains information on New York City air quality surveillance data. Air pollution is one of the most important environmental threats to urban populations and while all people are exposed, pollutant emissions, levels of exposure, and population vulnerability vary across neighborhoods. Exposures to common air pollutants have been linked to respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, cancers, and premature deaths. These indicators provide a perspective across time and NYC geographies to better characterize air quality and health in NYC. Data can also be explored online at the Environment and Health Data Portal: http://nyc.gov/health/environmentdata.

Additionally, each City agency shall disclose “the total number, since the last update, of such agency’s freedom of information law responses that included the release of data, the total number of such responses determined to consist of or include a public data set that had not yet been included on the single web portal and the name of such public data set, where applicable, and the total number of such responses that resulted in voluntarily disclosed information being made accessible through the single web portal.”

The DEP Application and Permit data will contain information about the different types of applications approved and permits issued on a regular basis.
The report contains thirteen (13) performance metrics for City's workforce development programs. Each metric can be breakdown by three demographic types (gender, race/ethnicity, and age group) and the program target population (e.g., youth and young adults, NYCHA communities) as well.
This report is a key output of an integrated data system that collects, integrates, and generates disaggregated data by Mayor's Office for Economic Opportunity (NYC Opportunity). Currently, the report is generated by the integrated database incorporating data from 18 workforce development programs managed by 5 City agencies.
There has been no single "workforce development system" in the City of New York. Instead, many discrete public agencies directly manage or fund local partners to deliver a range of different services, sometimes tailored to specific populations. As a result, program data have historically been fragmented as well, making it challenging to develop insights based on a comprehensive picture. To overcome it, NYC Opportunity collects data from 5 City agencies and builds the integrated database, and it begins to build a complete picture of how participants move through the system onto a career pathway.

This dataset, developed to substantiate the findings of the study by Zhuang et al. [1], comprises 1,521 building envelopes from the Central Business District (CBD) of New York City (NYC), represented in three formats: the wavefront (obj) format, the Signed Distance Function (SDF) format and 3D binary-volume format.
The original mesh data is procured from the NYC Open Data Portal [2]. The process of data manipulation is thoroughly delineated in the referenced research paper [1].
