    Description

Publication Date: April 2025 2024 Parcel Data. Updated annually, or as needed. The data can be downloaded here: https://gis.ny.gov/parcels#data-download. This feature service has two layers: 1) NYS Tax Parcels Public, and 2) NYS Tax Parcels Public Footprint which contains polygons representing counties for which tax parcel polygons are available in the NYS Tax Parcels Public layer. County footprint polygons display when zoomed out beyond 1:37,050-scale. Tax parcel polygons display when zoomed in below 1:37,051-scale. The NYS Tax Parcels Public layer contains 2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITS Geospatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State. Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data the NYS ITS Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel. Detailed information about assessment attributes can be found in the ORPTS Assessor’s Manuals available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/research/property/assess/manuals/assersmanual.htm. New York City data comes from NYC MapPluto which can be found here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-pluto-mappluto.page. Thanks to the following counties that specifically authorized Geospatial Services to share their GIS tax parcel data with the public: Albany, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Lewis, Livingston, Montgomery, NYC- Bronx, NYC- Kings (Brooklyn), NYC- New York (Manhattan), NYC- Queens, NYC- Richmond (Staten Island), Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schuyler, St Lawrence, Steuben, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Wayne, and Westchester. Geometry accuracy varies by contributing county. This map service is available to the public. Description

**ATTENTION USERS - This downloadable file will be retired by October 2025 **

The Digital Tax Map has been republished on Open Data as a growing collection of its map layers and data tables. You can find the collection here with the latest information: Digital Tax Map Collection.

Updates: Data is extracted from DOF’s internal system on the last Friday of each month and refreshed on ArcGIS Online on the 1st. The online map always shows the most recent version.

    Accessing the Data:
Digital Tax Map on NYC Open Data: See the complete collection.
Individual layers: Downloadable from the Digital Tax Map Feature Server.
Complete source: Available through the Digital Tax Map service, which always points to the latest monthly release.

Note: To ensure reliability, the Tax Map alternates between Set A and Set B each month. If one set has issues, the previous month’s copy remains online. Both sets are kept about a month apart and are available for download:
    Set A link
    Set B link

Digital Alteration Book (DAB): The DAB is the official log of map changes—such as new lots, merges, or boundary shifts—providing a clear record of how the Tax Map evolves. It is available through the Property Information Portal. Coming soon the collection on Open Data will grow to include information from the Digital Alteration Book (DAB) that will keep track of historical changes to the Digital Tax Map.

    Disclaimer:
This dataset reflects formal applications submitted to DOF but may not reflect the latest changes in other City systems (e.g., exemptions or buildings data). It is provided for informational purposes only and is not guaranteed to be accurate as of today’s date.

    Description

These datasets give 2021 NYC residential parcel volume and stops information. The four datasets represent the estimated volume and stops served by Amazon, FedEx, UPS, and USPS respectively.

The dataset is generated by using the Pluto 2021, 2020 census, 2020 USPS postal diary, and the market share among the four companies in 2021. In total,1.92 million daily residential parcels are estimated in the whole NYC area. Each row represents a unique stop. It contains the census tract ID the stop belongs to, its coordinates, and the delivery (FTA) and pickup (FTP) volume. We assume that no pickup volume is assigned to Amazon and USPS due to their service characteristics. In the case of USPS, no direct pickup service will be provided. Instead, the parcel will be directly handed to post offices for pickup. The pickup volume proportional to Amazon's market share is evenly distributed to FedEx and UPS pickup services.

"myGraph.pickle": pickle file storing the NYC OSM network graph.

"Shapfile.zip": Shapefiles containing different geographic features of NYC.

"Centroid_OSM.zip": OSM maps storing the centroid of NYC census tracts.

"NTA_dist.zip": VKT result based on NTA.

"Service Zone": facility locations represented by OSM node ID and the service areas defined by census tracts

    Description

The Tioga County Geographic Information Tool is intended to be a parcel map viewer with additional layers of information of special interest to property owners. The parcel boundaries do not appear until the user zooms in on the map. Other layers can be turned on and off using from the layers list which can be exposed by clicking the Layer button in the upper right corner of the interface. A button at the bottom of the viewer opens a table viewer which can be used to explore the data related to each of the map layers. The table includes tools for filtering the data and selected records may be exported to a CSV file which can be opened as a text file using spreadsheet software. By default, clicking in a parcel brings up a popup of the parcel's attribute information. Popups for other layers can be enabled through the layer list. Other buttons allow the user to search for street addresses in Tioga County NY, locate the user's position using the GNSS capability of mobile devices, changing the base map, measuring distances and areas, identifying the coordinates of any location (a function of the measure tool), and displaying a legend.

    Description

This forest patch layer was created using a 2017 high-resolution urban tree canopy map of New York City derived from LiDAR and NAIP imagery (https://data.cityofnewyork.us/Environment/Tree-Canopy-Change-2010-2017-/by9k-vhck). To identify forest area, tree canopy over impervious surfaces was first subtracted from the canopy layer, including buildings and roads identified from planimetric data available from New York City (https://opendata.cityofnewyork.us/). Morphological spatial pattern analysis (MSPA; Vogt et al. 2007) was then used to distinguish forest patches from remaining tree canopy using an edge parameter of 15 m based on observed changes in vegetation composition and structure (Baker, unpublished data). MSPA applies the edge parameter to distinguish interiors (i.e. ‘cores’) from surrounding edges, as well as five other morphometric primitives (i.e. branches, bridges, loops, and islets) that reflect how canopy is or is not connected to cores. Patches always include core areas and their surrounding edges, as well as any perforations. Patches are separated into two size classes: Forested Natural Areas are patches with greater core area and thickness than Groves.Patches are classified by land ownership categories using local parcel data available from New York City (https://data.cityofnewyork.us/City-Government/Primary-Land-Use-Tax-Lot-Output-PLUTO-/64uk-42ks/data). Ownership categories include: Federal, State, Municipal, Commercial/Industrial, Institutional, and Private Residential owners. Parcels with unknown ownership were assigned Municipal ownership.Vogt P, Riitters K H, Estreguil C, Kozak J, Wade T G and Wickham J D 2007 Mapping spatial patterns with morphological image processing Landsc. Albany County, New York, tax parcel boundaries with limited property information.A tax map is a special purpose map, accurately drawn to scale showing all the real property parcels within a city, town or village. These maps are used to locate parcels and obtain other information required in assessment work. The size, shape and dimensions (or acreage) of a parcel may be found on a tax map. Tax maps are primarily used by local governments to maintain a current inventory of all parcels in a city, town or village.Tax parcel boundaries are maintained by the Albany County Real Property Tax Service Agency. Albany County provides the municipalities with digital GIS files on an annual basis. Therefore, all parcel boundary changes may not be reflected in this GIS file, depending on the revision date.Real Property Information, as recorded and managed by the local municipal assessor is updated annually using the final roll taxable status date March 1 by the County and also may not be reflecting the most current information, depending on the information revision date.

    Description

Overview of the Data:The operational purpose of the tax parcel data set is to facilitate the calculation and collection of property taxes. Each publicly or privately owned property in the city of Rochester has an official tax parcel record. The assessed value of every tax parcel in the city is recalculated based on recent sales and professional appraisals every four years. Reassessment years provide the best snapshot period for historical comparison, and included on the open data portal are 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020. This feature layer shows the polygon boundaries for each of the over 65,000 tax parcels in the city, along with several fields from their parcel records that detail information about the property, including ownership, property type, and assessed values. How does the tax map system work in New York State? What does Section, Block, Lot refer to?Each county in the state has a tax map that includes all of the parcels in each of its cities, towns, and villages. The county tax map is subdivided into sections of even, modular units that are 8,000 feet by 12,000 feet. Each of these sections are then subdivided into blocks of up to 100 parcels. Blocks are typically formed by following natural boundaries (i.e., roads, rivers, railroad tracks). Lot numbers are assigned to each parcel in a block following a set pattern according to their location on the map. Each parcel is thus assigned a Section, Block, Lot (SBL) number for identification and tax administration purposes. For more information on this identification system, please see the General Guide for Tax Mapping in New York State, put out by the Property Tax Assessment Administration.Related Resources:For a searchable interactive mapping application, please visit the City of Rochester's Property Information explorer tool. These data represent Mohawk River Watershed tax parcel boundaries. Data are meant for watershed planning purposes only. Mohawk River Watershed Coalition of Conservation Districts does not take responsibility for the overall content and/or spatial accuracy of the tax parcel data available for download on this page. You should always verify actual map data and information. The limitations and accuracy level of the data should be accounted for before using them in any analyses and their validity cannot be guaranteed. Parcel boundary data was acquired by county offices. Individual County and Town files were compiled to create a seamless coverage of Tax Parcels. Areas of overlap were eliminated by clipping to adjacent county boundaries. Attribute information of interest, property class code, residential development from 1945 to present (year built), sewer service code, and water service codes were obtained from the New York Office of Real Property Services (ORPS, accessed in November 2011). Parcel boundaries and attribute information from ORPS were joined based on the municipality code and print key. This data was collected by Stone Environmental, Inc. for the New York State Department of State with funds provided under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund.View Dataset on the Gateway
