    Description

Exploring new ways to share information with each other is a cornerstone of improving the planning process. To do this it is essential to have city-wide data in accessible formats. A variety of 3D digital information and models exist but currently the data is not readily available to the general public. Providing a consistent city-wide 3D data source will link these digital city planning models and materials together and will allow us to imagine our city from different perspectives. The Open Data site will enable access to application developers, designers, urban planners and architects, and the public. Ideally this will enable the creation of a visual portal and access to a large collection of city building ideas. Further to the Open Government Licence, the Context Massing Model is being provided by City Planning on the Open Data website for information and illustrative purposes only. City Planning does not warranty the completeness, accuracy, content, or fitness for any precision purpose or use of context massing model for such purposes, nor are any such warranties to be implied or inferred with respect to Context Massing Model as furnished on the website. City Planning and the City are not liable for any deficiencies in the completeness, accuracy, content, or fitness for any particular purpose or use of Context Massing Model, or applications utilizing Context Massing Model, provided by any third party. Context Massing Model MUST BE VERIFIED BY THE USER FOR LEGAL OR OFFICIAL USE. Please use this Interactive Map to locate the 3D Massing tiles for SketchUp and AutoCAD format For further information visit the Urban Design web site A note on property assessments: MPAC (Municipal Property Assessment Corporation) holds copyright on many aspects of data around properties. The City of Toronto is unable to provide this data. From the MPAC website: MPAC 's range of services includes: Preparing annual Assessment Rolls for use by municipalities and the Province to calculate property and education taxes. Assessment Maps and Ontario Parcel (TM) In 2005, MPAC, the Ontario Government and Teranet Enterprises Inc. completed the Ontario Parcel(TM) - an ambitious project that brings assessment, ownership and land parcel data for almost 4.6 million properties into a standardized digital database. ... The Ontario Parcel(TM) is available to Ontario municipalities, public organizations and private businesses. Among other things, the Ontario Parcel(TM) data can be applied to property assessment and taxation, land registration, land use planning, land management and business planning. With the implementation of the Ontario Parcel (TM) and the digital mapping environment, MPAC no longer produces paper assessment maps. If you would like more information about the products and services available under the Ontario Parcel (TM), please visit the Ontario Parcel (TM) website at www.ontarioparcel.ca. Description

The Digital Ownership Parcel Fabric (DOPF) is a layer within the Ontario Parcel data base.

Ownership parcels are areas of land for which there is registered title of ownership by an individual or organization. The geometry of the Ownership Parcel is either the POLARIS (Province of Ontario Land Registry Information System) or BIM (Basic Index Mapping) standard, depending on the area of the province. The POLARIS and BIM parcels, built and now maintained by Teranet Enterprises Inc., exist in specific urban areas, mostly in southern Ontario. The ownership parcels contain property identification numbers (PIN). The ownership parcel will be made available where it existed at the time the Ontario Parcel agreement was signed, largely in southern and eastern Ontario. MNR can only make the Ownership Parcel available to Ontario ministries and eligible MNR List Users. This excludes municipalities.

Legislated or Legal Authority for Collection: MNR must comply with the terms of the Ontario Parcel Master Agreement.

MNR List Users must comply with the terms of the Ontario Parcel General (MNR) List User Licence Agreement.

    Additional Time Period Information: Estimates

Most of the parcels managed by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (assessment); Teranet Enterprises Inc. (ownership) and the Ontario Government (Crown lands) share the same or similar geometry. The Ontario Parcel will maintain an integrated, common fabric for Ontario in a form easily accessed by users. The existence of the Ontario Parcel will reduce duplication and costs for Ontario ministries and municipalities, and provide valuable information to those who could not afford it in the past. The Ontario Parcel data base is a one-stop source of assessment, ownership and Crown parcel mapping that can be used for assessment, taxation, land registration and management, as well as land use and business planning.Related LayersAssessment Parcel LayerCrown Parcel Layer Additional Documentation

    Description

This dataset represents the locations of licenced and permitted pits and quarries regulated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) under the Aggregate Resources Act, R.S.O. 1990.

Aggregate site data has been divided into active and inactive sites. Active sites may be further subdivided into partial surrenders. In partial surrenders, defined areas of a site are inactive while the rest of the site remains active.

    The data includes:

site location and size licensee name approval type (licence or permit) operation type (pit or quarry) maximum annual tonnage limit the MNRF district responsible for the site

Use our interactive Pits and Quarries map to find active sites.

This data does not include aggregate sites regulated by the Ministry of Transportation.

The Digital Crown Parcel Fabric (DCPF) is a layer within the Ontario Parcel data base. Currently only the geometry is available for Crown Parcels. Eventually, pending funding, the intention is to link the spatial Crown Parcels to the tabular information that will identify the parcels.

Crown parcels are areas of land where the Crown has permanently or temporarily granted rights or never held tenure. Crown parcels include alienations such as parks, Indian Reserves and dispositions such as patents, leases, licenses of occupation, acquired lands, Crown easements, cancellations, forfeitures, and Land Use Permits. The DCPF consists of the digital Crown parcel boundaries and unique identifiers. Currently only the geometry is available for Crown Parcels.

Legislated or Legal Authority for Collection: The Crown parcel data was compiled through the Ontario Parcel project, and is subject to the terms within the Ontario Parcel Master Agreement.

Additional Time Period Information: The above range is an estimate only. The data was compiled from a variety of data sources over the past few years. Being updated on a regular basis.

Description

This is a georeferenced raster image of a printed paper map of the Chesley, Ontario region (Sheet No. 041A06), published in 1973. It is the second edition in a series of maps, which show both natural and man-made features such as relief, spot heights, administrative boundaries, secondary and side roads, railways, trails, wooded areas, waterways including lakes, rivers, streams and rapids, bridges, buildings, mills, power lines, terrain, and land formations. This map was published in 1973 and the information on the map is current as of 1970. Maps were produced by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and it's preceding agencies, in partnership with other government agencies. Please note: image / survey capture dates can span several years, and some details may have been updated later than others. Please consult individual map sheets for detailed production information, which can be found in the bottom left hand corner. Original maps were digitally scanned by McGill Libraries in partnership with Canadiana.org, and georeferencing for the maps was provided by the University of Toronto Libraries and Eastview Corporation.
