    Description

This spatial dataset comprises polygons that represent property parcels within the City of Niagara Falls. Although this layer closely follows Tax Roll parcels, there may be some instances where the ownership parcel's geometry to the PIN is used. The parcel layer is regularly updated using various sources, including Certificate of Consent documents from the CNF Committee of Adjustment, Registered Plans (of Subdivision or Condominium), Agreements of a Registered development (Subdivision or Condominium), Registered Deeds, Registered Reference Plans, and MPAC SCIF reports. To verify legal descriptions and ownership, PIN Details and maps from the Land Registry Office are also referenced, as needed. The original version of this product, a hybrid property dataset provided by the Region, was created using Ontario Base Mapping hard copy base (likely North American Datum of 1927 (NAD27) UTM 17) and would have been checked for quality using Ortho imagery available at the time. This information has been compiled from numerous sources and standards over the years, so spatial inaccuracies are to be expected. It's important to note that this layer is strictly intended for mapping and reference purposes, and should not be used to define the boundaries of individual parcels of land for legal purposes. Attribute details contain the primary address for the parcel and are not reflective of all valid addresses in the City of Niagara Falls for individual parcels.

    Description

Please note that this dataset is not an official City of Toronto land use dataset. It was created for personal and academic use using City of Toronto Land Use Maps (2019) found on the City of Toronto Official Plan website at https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/planning-development/official-plan-guidelines/official-plan/official-plan-maps-copy, along with the City of Toronto parcel fabric (Property Boundaries) found at https://open.toronto.ca/dataset/property-boundaries/ and Statistics Canada Census Dissemination Blocks level boundary files (2016). The property boundaries used were dated November 11, 2021. Further detail about the City of Toronto's Official Plan, consolidation of the information presented in its online form, and considerations for its interpretation can be found at https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/planning-development/official-plan-guidelines/official-plan/ Data Creation Documentation and Procedures Software Used The spatial vector data were created using ArcGIS Pro 2.9.0 in December 2021. PDF File Conversions Using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC software, the following downloaded PDF map images were converted to TIF format. 9028-cp-official-plan-Map-14_LandUse_AODA.pdf 9042-cp-official-plan-Map-22_LandUse_AODA.pdf 9070-cp-official-plan-Map-20_LandUse_AODA.pdf 908a-cp-official-plan-Map-13_LandUse_AODA.pdf 978e-cp-official-plan-Map-17_LandUse_AODA.pdf 97cc-cp-official-plan-Map-15_LandUse_AODA.pdf 97d4-cp-official-plan-Map-23_LandUse_AODA.pdf 97f2-cp-official-plan-Map-19_LandUse_AODA.pdf 97fe-cp-official-plan-Map-18_LandUse_AODA.pdf 9811-cp-official-plan-Map-16_LandUse_AODA.pdf 982d-cp-official-plan-Map-21_LandUse_AODA.pdf Georeferencing and Reprojecting Data Files The original projection of the PDF maps is unknown but were most likely published using MTM Zone 10 EPSG 2019 as per many of the City of Toronto's many datasets. They could also have possibly been published in UTM Zone 17 EPSG 26917 The TIF images were georeferenced in ArcGIS Pro using this projection with very good results. The images were matched against the City of Toronto's Centreline dataset found here The resulting TIF files and their supporting spatial files include: TOLandUseMap13.tfwx TOLandUseMap13.tif TOLandUseMap13.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap13.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap14.tfwx TOLandUseMap14.tif TOLandUseMap14.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap14.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap15.tfwx TOLandUseMap15.tif TOLandUseMap15.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap15.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap16.tfwx TOLandUseMap16.tif TOLandUseMap16.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap16.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap17.tfwx TOLandUseMap17.tif TOLandUseMap17.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap17.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap18.tfwx TOLandUseMap18.tif TOLandUseMap18.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap18.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap19.tif TOLandUseMap19.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap19.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap20.tfwx TOLandUseMap20.tif TOLandUseMap20.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap20.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap21.tfwx TOLandUseMap21.tif TOLandUseMap21.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap21.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap22.tfwx TOLandUseMap22.tif TOLandUseMap22.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap22.tif.ovr TOLandUseMap23.tfwx TOLandUseMap23.tif TOLandUseMap23.tif.aux.xml TOLandUseMap23.tif.ov Ground control points were saved for all georeferenced images. The files are the following: map13.txt map14.txt map15.txt map16.txt map17.txt map18.txt map19.txt map21.txt map22.txt map23.txt The City of Toronto's Property Boundaries shapefile, "property_bnds_gcc_wgs84.zip" were unzipped and also reprojected to EPSG 26917 (UTM Zone 17) into a new shapefile, "Property_Boundaries_UTM.shp" Mosaicing Images Once georeferenced, all images were then mosaiced into one image file, "LandUseMosaic20211220v01", within the project-generated Geodatabase, "Landuse.gdb" and exported TIF, "LandUseMosaic20211220.tif" Reclassifying Images Because the original images were of low quality and the conversion to TIF made the image colours even more inconsistent, a method was required to reclassify the images so that different land use classes could be identified. Using Deep learning Objects, the images were re-classified into useful consistent colours. Deep Learning Objects and Training The resulting mosaic was then prepared for reclassification using the Label Objects for Deep Learning tool in ArcGIS Pro. A training sample, "LandUseTrainingSamples20211220", was created in the geodatabase for all land use types as follows: Neighbourhoods Insitutional Natural Areas Core Employment Areas Mixed Use Areas Apartment Neighbourhoods Parks Roads Utility Corridors Other Open Spaces General Employment Areas Regeneration Areas Lettering (not a land use type, but an image colour (black), used to label streets). By identifying the letters, it then made the reclassification and vectorization results easier to clean up of unnecessary clutter caused by the labels of streets. Reclassification Once the training samples were created and saved, the raster was then reclassified using the Image Classification Wizard tool in ArcGIS Pro, using the Support...

    Description

Publication Date: April 2025 2024 Parcel Data. Updated annually, or as needed. The data can be downloaded here: https://gis.ny.gov/parcels#data-download. This feature service has two layers: 1) NYS Tax Parcels Public, and 2) NYS Tax Parcels Public Footprint which contains polygons representing counties for which tax parcel polygons are available in the NYS Tax Parcels Public layer. County footprint polygons display when zoomed out beyond 1:37,050-scale. Tax parcel polygons display when zoomed in below 1:37,051-scale. The NYS Tax Parcels Public layer contains 2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITS Geospatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State. Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data the NYS ITS Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel. Detailed information about assessment attributes can be found in the ORPTS Assessor’s Manuals available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/research/property/assess/manuals/assersmanual.htm. New York City data comes from NYC MapPluto which can be found here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-pluto-mappluto.page. Thanks to the following counties that specifically authorized Geospatial Services to share their GIS tax parcel data with the public: Albany, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Lewis, Livingston, Montgomery, NYC- Bronx, NYC- Kings (Brooklyn), NYC- New York (Manhattan), NYC- Queens, NYC- Richmond (Staten Island), Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schuyler, St Lawrence, Steuben, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Wayne, and Westchester. Geometry accuracy varies by contributing county. This map service is available to the public. The State of New York, acting through the New York State Office of Information Technology Services, makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, with respect to the use of or reliance on the Data provided. The User accepts the Data provided “as is” with no guarantees that it is error free, complete, accurate, current or fit for any particular purpose and assumes all risks associated with its use. Description

The Ontario Imagery Web Map Service (OIWMS) is an open data service available to everyone free of charge. It provides instant online access to the most recent, highest quality, province wide imagery. GEOspatial Ontario (GEO) makes this data available as an Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant web map service or as an ArcGIS map service. Imagery was compiled from many different acquisitions which are detailed in the Ontario Imagery Web Map Service Metadata Guide linked below. Instructions on how to use the service can also be found in the Imagery User Guide linked below.Note: This map displays the Ontario Imagery Web Map Service Source, a companion ArcGIS web map service to the Ontario Imagery Web Map Service. It provides an overlay that can be used to identify acquisition relevant information such as sensor source and acquisition date. OIWMS contains several hierarchical layers of imagery, with coarser less detailed imagery that draws at broad scales, such as a province wide zooms, and finer more detailed imagery that draws when zoomed in, such as city-wide zooms. The attributes associated with this data describes at what scales (based on a computer screen) the specific imagery datasets are visible.Available ProductsOntario Imagery OCG Web Map Service – public linkOntario Imagery ArcGIS Map Service – public linkOntario Imagery Web Map Service Source – public linkOntario Imagery ArcGIS Map Service – OPS internal linkOntario Imagery Web Map Service Source – OPS internal linkAdditional DocumentationOntario Imagery Web Map Service Metadata Guide (PDF)Imagery User Guide (Word)StatusCompleted: Production of the data has been completedMaintenance and Update FrequencyAnnually: Data is updated every yearContactOntario Ministry of Natural Resources, Geospatial Ontario, imagery@ontario.ca

    Description

Contains lot, concession, and road allowance boundaries for Peel Region. Lots and concessions are a distinctive method of addressing, divided by concession roads (running North-South) and Lines/Sideroads (running East-West). This system is now typically only used in more rural settings, but was the original land division system as surveyed in the 1800s. Lot removal from the fabric is dictated by the Ontario Surveyor General. The geographic townships and lot information is still used for land administration (title) purposes. They are used as part of the legal description of the parcel. This dataset cannot replace a Plan of Survey. The townships, concessions and lots compromise the original township fabric of the Province. The spatial accuracy of the lot fabric for some townships has been improved through the Ontario Parcel, Township Realignment and Township Improvement projects. Improvements to the fabric may include: road allowance widths, spatial changes to better represent the location of lot boundaries, and more consistent concession names.NotesBoundaries along water bodies follow the shoreline as represented in the original plans prepared by the Crown. They may not match the current shoreline configuration or extent.Lots and right of way polygons have been split by Peel staff along current municipal boundaries for internal mapping and analysis purposes. Lot lines may not actually be split in such a way, legally.Lot Fabric, Improved Frequently Asked Questions (PDF)Lot Fabric, Improved - Data Description (PDF)Lot Fabric, Improved - Documentation (DOCX)

    Description

There are two types of boundary files: cartographic and digital. Cartographic boundary files portray the geographic areas using only the major land mass of Canada and its coastal islands. Digital boundary files portray the full extent of the geographic areas, including the coastal water area.
