Objective(s): Momentum for open access to research is growing. Funding agencies and publishers are increasingly requiring researchers make their data and research outputs open and publicly available. However, clinical researchers struggle to find real-world examples of Open Data sharing. The aim of this 1 hr virtual workshop is to provide real-world examples of Open Data sharing for both qualitative and quantitative data. Specifically, participants will learn: 1. Primary challenges and successes when sharing quantitative and qualitative clinical research data. 2. Platforms available for open data sharing. 3. Ways to troubleshoot data sharing and publish from open data. Workshop Agenda: 1. “Data sharing during the COVID-19 pandemic” - Speaker: Srinivas Murthy, Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia. Investigator, BC Children's Hospital 2. “Our experience with Open Data for the 'Integrating a neonatal healthcare package for Malawi' project.” - Speaker: Maggie Woo Kinshella, Global Health Research Coordinator, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital and University of British Columbia This workshop draws on work supported by the Digital Research Alliance of Canada. Data Description: Presentation slides, Workshop Video, and Workshop Communication Srinivas Murthy: Data sharing during the COVID-19 pandemic presentation and accompanying PowerPoint slides. Maggie Woo Kinshella: Our experience with Open Data for the 'Integrating a neonatal healthcare package for Malawi' project presentation and accompanying Powerpoint slides. This workshop was developed as part of Dr. Ansermino's Data Champions Pilot Project supported by the Digital Research Alliance of Canada. By the end of this module, learners will: Be able to explain the difference between FAIR and Open Data to researchers. Be able to make data FAIR by using a set of practical guidelines and tools. Understand the range of skills and knowledge associated with data stewardship. Be aware of different approaches to stewardship service provision. Be able to identify key elements that help make research data discoverable, accessible, interoperable and reusable. Be able to practise making data FAIR. This module is suitable for data stewards and trainers seeking introductory learning material. It will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the module. The materials include video presentations, full video transcripts, PowerPoint presentations and various learning activities and resources to support learning. This learning material has been developed in collaboration with the FAIRsFAIR and EOSC Synergy projects and has been adapted from the Data Steward Instructor Training Workshops run throughout 2020 and 2021. The The Data Steward Training course contains a total of 5 modules, each of which has been uploaded to Zenodo separately. Please see the related identifiers for the DOI's for each module. Please note: that module 4 (Data Management Plans) has been re-used and was originally published as module 8 of the EOSC synergy course: Bringing synergy to better data management and research in Europe - https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5517465

Although the commercial name for the The USAID University - Learning Management System is CSOD InCompass, the agencies that use the system have renamed (or rebranded) their specific agency portals to meet their own needs. lnCompass is a comprehensive talent management system that incorporates the following functional modules: 1) Learning -- The Learning module supports the management and tracking of training events and individual training records. Training events may be instructor Jed or online. Courses may be managed within the system to provide descriptions, availability, and registration. Online content is stored on the system. Training information stored for individuals includes courses completed, scores, and courses registered for, 2) Connect -- The Connect module supports employee collaboration efforts. Features include communities of practice, expertise location, blogs, and knowledge sharing support. Profile information that may be stored by the system includes job position, subject matter expertise, and previous accomplishments, 3) Performance -- The Performance module supports management of organizational goals and alignment of those goals to individual performance. The module supports managing skills and competencies for the organization. The module also supports employee performance reviews. The types of information gathered about employees include their skills, competencies, and performance evaluation, 4) Succession -- The Succession module supports workforce management and planning. The type of information gathered for this module includes prior work experience, skills, and competencies, and 5) Extended Enterprise -- The Extended Enterprise module supports delivery of training outside of the organization. The DGR n. 608/2007 provides that the bodies accredited for the provision of orientation and training activities, for the purpose of maintaining accreditation, have all students fill out a questionnaire aimed at identifying the level of user satisfaction with each training project provided by the Body. The Bodies send the collected data to the Region which, through their processing, defines the "regional average level of user satisfaction with training activities". The regional administration sends each body the results of this processing and the "average value" of each body is recorded in the administrative documentation aimed at maintaining regional accreditation.
