OpenGeoEdu's directory of data portals provides a central entry point for cross-platform search or search for open data and services. Access is either via the specially designed data portal, via a REST API or via download. With the web form of the portal, corrections and additions can be requested. In addition to open data and transparency portals, statistical, geo-, environmental and citizen science portals are also listed, which at least partially offer open or free offers. The data portals are also categorized according to reach and positioned on a web map at meaningful reference points (usually the location of the publishers). The directory thus depicts the open data infrastructures of the D-A-CH-LI space in their entire bandwidth and diversity. The data query of the REST API is analogous to the documentation of the PostgreSQL extension PostgREST (see http://postgrest.org/en/v7.0.0/) Query examples: http://portal.opengeoedu.de/api/portale (all data) http://portal.opengeoedu.de/api/portale?id=eq.10 (Show portal with ID 10) http://portal.opengeoedu.de/api/portale?reach=eq.international&typ=eq.odp (Show international Open Data Portals)

With this Open Data Portal, the City of Gera aims to meet today's requirements for a modern, transparent municipality. It is no longer solely about collecting and managing data. Rather, this data should be made available to the general public and research community free of charge and in an uncomplicated manner. The data is updated regularly. Please refer to the dataset descriptions for the update interval. The data may be freely used in accordance with the Data Licence Germany. This data portal contains maps, statistics, and directories, as well as data from measurement series. Our Open Data Portal is still under development. This is also a learning process for us. We would therefore be pleased to receive your feedback, suggestions, or requests for additions to the Open Data Portal or the SmartCity Cockpit. Please use the following contact address for this purpose: opendata@gera.de We would especially like to thank teuto.net from Bielefeld, who provided us with professional support in setting up this portal. In the field of plant genetic resources, Germany provides data on the national gene bank holdings. This includes the collection holdings of • the national ex-situ gene bank of the Leibniz Institute for Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) with almost 150,000 accessions from over 3,000 different crop species, • the German Fruit Gene Bank with over 1,000 accessions to the fruit types apple, cherry and strawberry , • the German gene bank for vines with over 4,400 accessions, • the German gene bank for ornamental plants with over 12,000 accessions, including above all data on rhododendrons and roses, • the gene bank for wild plants for food and agriculture (WEL) with over 3,000 accessions of native wild plants, • the Tobacco gene bank with almost 800 accessions, • and information on current breeder varieties (“Varieties for Diversity”) provided by German breeders for the Multilateral System of the International Seed Treaty. To ensure efficient data exchange, the data fields correspond to the internationally agreed specifications of the EURISCO exchange format, which is essentially based on the "Multi-Crop Passport Descriptor List" from FAO and Bioversity International. The above collection holdings and further information are provided in the National Inventory of Plant Genetic Resources in Germany (PGRDEU) at http://pgrdeu.genres.de/index.
