    Description

The Maine Geoparcel Viewer Application allows users to search and view available digital parcel data for Organized Townships and Unorganized Territories in the State of Maine. The Maine GeoLibrary and the Maine Office of GIS do not maintain parcel data for communities, cannot verify parcel ownership, and are not responsible for individual parcel data verification or updating emergency records concerning parcel addresses. If you have questions about a specific parcel, please contact the appropriate Town Office or County Registry of Deeds for the most up-to-date information.Within Maine, real property data is maintained by the government organization responsible for assessing and collecting property tax for a given location. Organized towns and townships maintain authoritative data for their communities and may voluntarily submit these data to the Maine GeoLibrary Parcel Project. The "Maine Parcels Organized Towns Feature" layer and "Maine Parcels Organized Towns ADB" table are the product of these voluntary submissions. Communities provide updates to the Maine GeoLibrary on a non-regular basis, which affects the currency of Maine GeoLibrary parcels data; some data are more than ten years old. Please contact the appropriate Town Office or the County Registry of Deeds for more up-to-date parcel information. Organized Town data should very closely match registry information, except in the case of in-process property conveyance transactions. In Unorganized Territories (defined as those regions of the state without a local government that assesses real property and collects property tax), Maine Revenue Services is the authoritative source for parcel data. The "Maine Parcels Unorganized Territory" layer is the authoritative GIS data layer for the Unorganized Territories. However, it must always be used with auxiliary data obtained from the online resources of Maine Revenue Services to compile up-to-date parcel ownership information.

    Description

Publication Date: April 2025 2024 Parcel Data. Updated annually, or as needed. The data can be downloaded here: https://gis.ny.gov/parcels#data-download. This feature service has two layers: 1) NYS Tax Parcels Public, and 2) NYS Tax Parcels Public Footprint which contains polygons representing counties for which tax parcel polygons are available in the NYS Tax Parcels Public layer. County footprint polygons display when zoomed out beyond 1:37,050-scale. Tax parcel polygons display when zoomed in below 1:37,051-scale. The NYS Tax Parcels Public layer contains 2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITS Geospatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State. Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data the NYS ITS Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel. Detailed information about assessment attributes can be found in the ORPTS Assessor’s Manuals available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/research/property/assess/manuals/assersmanual.htm. New York City data comes from NYC MapPluto which can be found here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-pluto-mappluto.page. Thanks to the following counties that specifically authorized Geospatial Services to share their GIS tax parcel data with the public: Albany, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Lewis, Livingston, Montgomery, NYC- Bronx, NYC- Kings (Brooklyn), NYC- New York (Manhattan), NYC- Queens, NYC- Richmond (Staten Island), Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schuyler, St Lawrence, Steuben, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Wayne, and Westchester. Geometry accuracy varies by contributing county. This map service is available to the public. The State of New York, acting through the New York State Office of Information Technology Services, makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, with respect to the use of or reliance on the Data provided. The User accepts the Data provided “as is” with no guarantees that it is error free, complete, accurate, current or fit for any particular purpose and assumes all risks associated with its use. Description

A current-year-only universe of Cook County parcels with attached geographic, governmental, and spatial data. When working with Parcel Index Numbers (PINs) make sure to zero-pad them to 14 digits. Some datasets may lose leading zeros for PINs when downloaded. Additional notes:Non-taxing district data is attached via spatial join (st_contains) to each parcel's centroid. Tax district data (school district, park district, municipality, etc.) are attached by a parcel's assigned tax code. Centroids are based on Cook County parcel shapefiles. Older properties may be missing coordinates and thus also missing attached spatial data (usually they are missing a parcel boundary in the shapefile). Newer properties may be missing a mailing or property address, as they need to be assigned one by the postal service. This dataset contains data for the current tax year, which may not yet be complete or final. Assessed values for any given year are subject to change until review and certification of values by the Cook County Board of Review, though there are a few rare circumstances where values may change for the current or past years after that. Rowcount for a given year is final once the Assessor has certified the assessment roll all townships. Data will be updated monthly. Depending on the time of year, some third-party and internal data will be missing for the most recent year. Assessments mailed this year represent values from last year, so this isn't an issue. By the time the Data Department models values for this year, those data will have populated. Current property class codes, their levels of assessment, and descriptions can be found on the Assessor's website. Note that class codes details can change across time. Due to discrepancies between the systems used by the Assessor and Clerk's offices, tax_district_code is not currently up-to-date in this table. For more information on the sourcing of attached data and the preparation of this dataset, see the Assessor's Standard Operating Procedures for Open Data on GitHub. Update 10/31/2023: Sales are no longer filtered out of this data set based on deed type, sale price, or recency of sale for a given PIN with the same price. If users wish to recreate the former filtering schema they should set sale_filter_same_sale_within_365, sale_filter_less_than_10k, and sale_filter_deed_type to False. Parcel sales for real property in Cook County, from 1999 to present. The Assessor's Office uses this data in its modeling to estimate the fair market value of unsold properties. When working with Parcel Index Numbers (PINs) make sure to zero-pad them to 14 digits. Some datasets may lose leading zeros for PINs when downloaded. Sale document numbers correspond to those of the Cook County Clerk, and can be used on the Clerk's website to find more information about each sale. NOTE: These sales are filtered, but likely include non-arms-length transactions - sales less than $10,000 along with quit claims, executor deeds, beneficial interests are excluded. While the Data Department will upload what it has access to monthly, sales are reported on a lag, with many records not populating until months after their official recording date. Current property class codes, their levels of assessment, and descriptions can be found on the Assessor's website. Note that class codes details can change across time. Description

The dataset has combined the Parcels and Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) data for 2023 into a single dataset. This dataset is designed to make it easier for stakeholders and the GIS community to use and access the information as a geospatial dataset. Included in this dataset are geometries for all 169 municipalities and attribution from the CAMA data for all but one municipality. Pursuant to Section 7-100l of the Connecticut General Statutes, each municipality is required to transmit a digital parcel file and an accompanying assessor’s database file (known as a CAMA report), to its respective regional council of governments (COG) by May 1 annually.

These data were gathered from the CT municipalities by the COGs and then submitted to CT OPM. This dataset was created on 12/08/2023 from data collected in 2022-2023. Data was processed using Python scripts and ArcGIS Pro, ensuring standardization and integration of the data.

    CAMA Notes:

The CAMA underwent several steps to standardize and consolidate the information. Python scripts were used to concatenate fields and create a unique identifier for each entry. The resulting dataset contains 1,353,595 entries and information on property assessments and other relevant attributes.

    • CAMA was provided by the towns.

    • Canaan parcels are viewable, but no additional information is available since no CAMA data was submitted.

    Spatial Data Notes:

Data processing involved merging the parcels from different municipalities using ArcGIS Pro and Python. The resulting dataset contains 1,247,506 parcels.

    • No alteration has been made to the spatial geometry of the data.

    • Fields that are associated with CAMA data were provided by towns.

    • The data fields that have information from the CAMA were sourced from the towns’ CAMA data.

    • If no field for the parcels was provided for linking back to the CAMA by the town a new field within the original data was selected if it had a match rate above 50%, that joined back to the CAMA.

    • Linking fields were renamed to "Link".

    • All linking fields had a census town code added to the beginning of the value to create a unique identifier per town.

    • Any field that was not town name, Location, Editor, Edit Date, or a field associated back to the CAMA, was not used in the creation of this Dataset.

    • Only the fields related to town name, location, editor, edit date, and link fields associated with the towns’ CAMA were included in the creation of this dataset. Any other field provided in the original data was deleted or not used.

    • Field names for town (Muni, Municipality) were renamed to "Town Name".

    Connecticut
    Description

    Coordinate system Update:

Notably, this dataset will be provided in NAD 83 Connecticut State Plane (2011) (EPSG 2234) projection, instead of WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere (EPSG 3857) which is the coordinate system of the 2023 dataset and will remain in Connecticut State Plane moving forward.

    Ownership Suppression and Data Access:
The updated dataset now includes parcel data for all towns across the state, with some towns featuring fully suppressed ownership information. In these instances, the owner’s name will be replaced with the label "Current Owner," the co-owner’s name will be listed as "Current Co-Owner," and the mailing address will appear as the property address itself. For towns with suppressed ownership data, users should be aware that there was no "Suppression" field in the submission to verify specific details. This measure was implemented this year to help verify compliance with Suppression.

    New Data Fields:
The new dataset introduces the "Land Acres" field, which will display the total acreage for each parcel. This additional field allows for more detailed analysis and better supports planning, zoning, and property valuation tasks. An important new addition is the FIPS code field, which provides the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) code for each parcel’s corresponding block. This allows users to easily identify which block the parcel is in.

    Updated Service URL:
The new parcel service URL includes all the updates mentioned above, such as the improved coordinate system, new data fields, and additional geospatial information. Users are strongly encouraged to transition to the new service as soon as possible to ensure that their workflows remain uninterrupted. The URL for this service will remain persistent moving forward. Once you have transitioned to the new service, the URL will remain constant, ensuring long term stability.

For a limited time, the old service will continue to be available, but it will eventually be retired. Users should plan to switch to the new service well before this cutoff to avoid any disruptions in data access.

The dataset has combined the Parcels and Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) data for 2024 into a single dataset.

This dataset was created on 10/31/2024 from data collected in 2023-2024.

    Spatial Data Notes:

Data processing involved merging the parcels from different municipalities using ArcGIS Pro and Python. The resulting dataset contains 1,290,196 parcels.

    • No alteration has been made to the spatial geometry of the data.

    • Fields that are associated with CAMA data were provided by towns.

    • The data fields that have information from the CAMA were sourced from the towns’ CAMA data.
