Data DictionaryThe Allparcels data set is a thematic layer depicting past, present and future tax year real property parcel boundaries within Snohomish County, Washington based on the legal descriptions contained in the assessment roll. Parcels in this data set are defined as real property entities that can be valued for the purpose of collecting taxes. Parcels include, but are not limited to land, buildings on leased land, mobile homes and condominium units. Parcels may overlap. Parcels such as condominium units and mobile homes that may occupy a single polygon are represented as non-planar features (regions) of the same geographic extent. The Parcels data set does not depict legal ownership boundaries nor does it represent legal building lots. Snohomish County does not maintain parcels for the complete geographic coverage of the county. There is no parcel fabric in much of the eastern mountainous area. This data set is not designed to be used in connection with tabular attribute files. Its sole purpose is for historical tracking of changes in the parcel geometry. For current parcel geometry and tabular attributes, see the Parcels data set.

Legal descriptions were interpreted without assumption of intent or bias from any pre-existing maps. Spatial registration conforms to features in the Snohomish County parcel data set. For areas where special purpose district boundaries have not been converted, the boundaries were taken from a manually maintained atlas.
description: Preliminary report on the geology of southern Snohomish County, Open File Report 73-1. The map area includes eighty-five square miles in South Snohomish County southeast of Everett, bounded on the west by Interstate 5, on the south by Highway 405 and the Snohomish-King County boundary, on the east and north by the Snohomish River floodplain. The purpose of the project is to provide a geologic map of the area at a scale which can be useful as a tool in urban planning. Since the project has been done in conjunction with the Snohomish County Planning Commission, hopefully, it will provide geologic data that will be useful to them in planning for future metropolitan and industrial growth. The geologic map will provide a basis for applying groundwater, seismic response, slope stability and engineering property studies to the area, all of which are important factors in today's urban and regional planning.; abstract: Preliminary report on the geology of southern Snohomish County, Open File Report 73-1. Active project and permitting records from the PDS permitting database are joined to cadastral parcels. Of the plethora of all possible permit types, these data are generalized in the following groupings: Construction vs. Decision, Commercial vs. Residential, and Land Disturbing Activity (LDA). Examples may include, though not limited to, per se Construction permits indicate building permits for structures. Decisions may indicate Land Use permitted for Plats and Rezones. Status is classified as "In Review" and/or "Under Construction", depending on the query of all the permits relating to the parcel_id number.
