TwitterFive meter elevation contours covering Parkland County. Contours interpolated in ArcMap using AltaLIS LIDAR 15 DEM.The AltaLIS LiDAR15 DEM is derived from the ground surface of a LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) point cloud with 30cm vertical accuracy and 1m horizontal resolution. The elevations of the 15 meter post spacing coordinates are derived from the TIN of the full LiDAR ground surface. DEM collected with LiDAR technology enhances the quality of relief, hydrological features, sub-catchment boundaries (basins and watersheds) and drainage networks. (AltaLIS)

TwitterThe Parkland dataset is comprised of boundary footprints, created by merging parcels based on their park site location and ROSI preserved area (including Washington Rock Park). All parklands are managed by the Somerset County Park Commission. The land is preserved with funding from the Somerset County Open Space Preservation Trust Fund and NJDEP Green Acres Program. Land owned by the County in fee or easement may not be diverted or disposed of for any purpose other than public recreation or conservation of natural resources without the approval of the Commissioner of the State House Commission and Somerset County Board of County Commissioners. The Somerset County Parkland dataset contains specific characteristics of the parcels owned in fee or easement and/or managed by the County of Somerset and Somerset County Park Commission for recreation and conservation of natural resources such as location, block, lot, municipality, and parcel area. The parcels allow for reasonable public use and enjoyment, however, some areas may have limited public access to protect public safety and sensitive environmental areas. Areas may be closed temporarily from time to time for routine maintenance. Types of property in this data layer include parcels such as parks, natural areas and historic resources.
