Patent Examination Data System lets customers retrieve and download multiple records of USPTO patent application or patent filing status at no cost. PEDS contains the bibliographic, published document and patent term extension data tabs in Public PAIR from 1981 to present. There is also some data dating back to 1935. Customers can download the entire dataset containing the data for all indexed documents. There are over 13 million records in PEDS. The data can be accessed by anyone using the web interface or the provided Application Programming Interface (API). PEDS is updated daily and mirrors the data available in the Patent Application Location and Monitoring (PALM) system. PEDS provides access to public applications including: published patent applications and patents, and PCT applications that have not been published by WIPO. Any applications that have not been released by the USPTO will not be available in PEDS.

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) API is a RESTful API with an easy to use search interface. You can easily browse USPTO PTAB public documents, search for specific content, and request a bulk download of PTAB content. The PTAB API synchronizes close to real time with the PTAB E2E (End-to-End) system making the latest public America Invents Action (AIA) Trial information and documents available. PTAB API v2 has text search capabilities for decision documents.

Google Patents Public Data, provided by IFI CLAIMS Patent Services, is a worldwide bibliographic and US full-text dataset of patent publications.

Use this API to search Patent Examination Status Codes Dataset 2015. The Status Codes dataset includes descriptions of the status codes used to populate the appl_status_code variable in the application dataset. The descriptions can be linked to application data using this variable. There are 225 unique application status codes represented in this file. See Table A-3 in documentation for a list and brief description of the two variables included in this dataset.

The Intellectual Property (IP) Marketplace Platform, also called Patents 4 Partnerships is an initiative of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) that brings together those who have technologies and want to make them available for licensing and those who have an interest in and the ability to commercialize the technologies. The IP Marketplace Platform provides a voluntary listing of patents and patent application publications (pre-grant publications, pgpubs) indicated as available for licensing on external public websites or in the USPTO Patent Official Gazette Notices. It also offers a link to sources that include the licensing information.

Use this API to search Patent Litigation Cases. The Patent Litigation Dataset contains detailed patent litigation data on 74,623 unique district court cases filed during the period 1963-2015. OCE collected all of the data from the Public Access to Court Electronics Records (PACER) and RECAP, an independent project designed to serve as a repository for litigation data sourced from PACER.

Use this API to search the Office of the Chief Economist (OCE) Patent Examination Event Codes Dataset 2015. The Event Codes dataset includes short descriptions of the event codes used in the transactions dataset. The descriptions can be linked to transactions using the event_code variable. There are 1,873 unique event codes represented in this data file.

Contains detailed information derived from the Office Actions issued by patent examiners to applicants during the patent examination process. The “Office Action” is a written notification to the applicant of the examiner’s decision on patentability. It generally discloses the reasons for any rejections, objections, or requirements and includes relevant information or references that the applicant may find useful for responding to the examiner and deciding whether to continue prosecuting the application.

This API allows for daily refresh and retrieval of rejection data from Office Actions mailed from June 1, 2018 to 180 days prior to the current date. It contains document level data including the type of actions taken on claims in the Office Action.

The Bulk Search and Download API allows searching published patent applications (pre-grant publications, pgpubs) and issued patents (patent grants) across various fields from 2001 to present, and to request a custom zip package for the given patent application or patent ids. Download up to 100 document numbers at a time. Wait time can vary based on the number of requests being processed.

Contains detailed information derived from the Office actions issued by patent examiners to applicants during the patent examination process. The Office Action is a written notification to the applicant of the examiners decision on patentability. It generally discloses the reasons for any rejections, objections, or requirements and includes relevant information or references that the applicant may find useful for responding to the examiner and deciding whether to continue prosecuting the application. This API allows for retrieval of citation data from 4.4 million Office actions mailed during the 2008 to mid-2017 period from USPTO examiners to the applicants of 2.2 million unique patent applications. It uses information derived from citations referenced on the Form PTO-892, Form PTO-1449, and text of Office Actions.

Patent data is aggregated across multiple Intellectual Property (IP) registries, including USPTO, CIPO, EUIPO and WIPO (USA, Canada, Europe). Our complete dataset of active patent records is updated weekly. Customized reports available based on company lists, or full dataset via raw feed or one-off reports. Full bibliographic data provided for each IP record; including filing date, grant date, expiry date, inventor(s), IPC, full text abstract, title, etc. Ownership/entity relationship mapping, ticker mapping, ISIN mapping, Crunchbase uuid mapping, Crunchbase domain mapping. We also provide our proprietary IP Activity Score for each owner, which can assist to compare recent innovation activity amongst owners, as reflected in their Intellectual Property filings.
