Collectively, State Forest Land and Gamelands comprise over 3.7 million acres of public forest open to hunting in Pennsylvania. PennEnviroScreen provides an annually updated snapshot of undue environmental burden on vulnerable communities. This dataset is the result of a model which combines Pollution Burden and Population Characteristics data in order to identify Environmental Justice (EJ) Areas in accordance with the EJ Policy and is based upon the US Census Bureau's Census Block Group Delineations. Delaware County Office of Data and Mapping Innovation (ODMI), using a Geographic Information System, supports departments within the County with custom mapping, interactive applications, and authoritative data to be used in their workflows and engagement with the public. Users can search locations (neighborhoods, streets) and set thematic parameters to learn more about events, businesses and people who were memorable to the different communities. Entries in the database are visualized as feature markers in an interactive map tool, accompanying the search. PhilaPlace was developed by the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.

Agriculture has guided Pennsylvania's economic growth and cultural development and has profoundly shaped the lands and people of the Commonwealth. The 1850 Federal Decennial Census was the first time in history that data was collected on agricultural production at a national scale. The census manuscripts for Pennsylvania were digitized by PHMC from the original documents in the collections of the National Archives and Records Administration. This dataset includes agricultural production data compiled from Schedule 4 - Productions of Agriculture of the 1850 census and aggregated at the county and municipality level. The visualization combines a timeless practice with the latest advancements in technology. The interactive map of Pennsylvania depicting the value of farms and amounts of livestock provides users with a glimpse into agricultural life in 1850.

Buy Fresh, Buy Local is an online application that enables users to access locations and information on the network of PA local farmers and locally grown food products. Users enter an address or zipcode to explore relevant information (proximity, contact, hours of operation) of nearby farms, farmers markets, as well as restaurants, wineries/breweries, retail stores and other venues that feature seasonal and/or locally grown food products. Results are also displayed as interactive points on a map visualization. The application is maintained by the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture. Free registration enables commenting, blogging, uploading recipes and other interactive features.

National Hydrography Dataset NHDFlowline layer with spatial representation of existing water uses defined in Title 25 Environmental Protection, Department of Environmental Protection, Chapter 93, Water Quality Standards. The Pennsylvania Code just cited provides a definition for distinguishing between designated and existing use classification. This GIS layer displays these uses spatially on an interactive stream map. Public users can drill down to locations on the map to view and map the existing uses of the water bodies of interest. The layer can also be used in conjunction with other spatially referenced data for spatial analyses.
