THE POLL

As part of Cards Against Humanity Saves America, this poll is funded for one year of monthly public opinion polls. Cards Against Humanity is asking the American people about their social and political views, what they think of the president, and their pee-pee habits.

To conduct their polls in a scientifically rigorous manner, they partnered with Survey Sampling International — a professional research firm — to contact a nationally representative sample of the American public. For the first three polls, they interrupted people’s dinners on both their cell phones and landlines, and a total of about 3,000 adults didn’t hang up immediately. Elections held on November 7, 2023 showed Democrats experiencing a number of wins across swing-states. Despite the state of Kentucky voting for Trump in 2020, Democratic Governor Andy Beshear gained re-election by a fair margin. In another instance of Democratic gains in Republican-leaning swing-states, Ohio voters passed a state-wide proposal to preserve abortion access across the state. Democrats also gained control of Virginia legislature, rounding out a successful night for Democrats across the country.

In general, the outcome left Democrats more happy with the results. According to a survey taken the following days, 19 percent of Republicans were happy with the results, compared to 50 percent of Democrats across the country.

A survey conducted in February 2025 found that the most important issue for ** percent of Americans was inflation and prices. A further ** percent of respondents were most concerned about jobs and the economy.

According to a December survey, Donald Trump's favorability among Republicans remained strong following the 2024 election, with 72 percent viewing him very favorably and 18 percent somewhat favorably. This overwhelming support from his party base contrasts sharply with Democrats, of whom 84 percent viewed Trump very unfavorably. Independents were more divided, with 47 percent expressing some degree of favorability towards the former president. Electoral college victory Trump's popularity among Republicans translated into electoral success in the 2024 presidential election. He secured 312 electoral votes, surpassing the 270 needed to win the presidency. This victory came as Trump won all seven swing states, some by significant margins, despite pre-election polls showing only a slight lead in most battleground states. Increased republican support The 2024 election saw Republicans gain ground across the country. Every state reported an increase in Republican votes compared to 2020, with New York showing the largest gain of 6.43 percent. New Jersey and Florida also saw significant increases of nearly five percent. This surge in Republican support led to Trump flipping six states that he had lost in the previous election, contributing to his decisive victory.

Shortly after the election, almost **** of polled Americans reporting being extremely enthusiastic about voting for president. However, Republicans were more enthusiastic than Democrats, with nearly ** percent having been extremely enthusiastic, compared to ** percent of Democrats.

As of March 2023, 62 percent of the respondents had a favorable opinion on the health reform, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) otherwise know as Obamacare, highest share in the provided time interval. Opinions about the ACA

Favorability for the health reform law in the United States has fluctuated since 2010 till 2017. In April 2010, 46 percent of U.S. adults had a favorable opinion regarding the ACA, while 45 percent said the same six years later in October 2016. As expected, Republicans tended to consider the ACA as unfavorable while Democrats were more likely to favor the bill. However, after 2017 the share of U.S. who favor the ACA has steadily increased and is steadily above those who view it unfavorably.

The ACA had a major goal, to expand health care coverage. This bill prevents health plans from limiting or denying coverage to children with pre-existing conditions, arbitrarily withdrawing insurance coverage, and implementing lifetime limits on coverage. The ACA is expected to reduce the number of uninsured individuals by 25 million people by 2023. Those who view the ACA favorably usually reason that the bill will increase health care and insurance access, while the opposition often mentions that the health costs may increase and that the law is too expensive.

According to a survey conducted just over a month after her defeat in the 2024 presidential election, approximately ** percent of surveyed Americans had a favorable opinion of Vice President Harris. Of those, ** percent had a very favorable opinion of Harris.

In a survey of U.S. adults conducted in July 2024, ** percent of respondents held a very unfavorable opinion of Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. On the other hand, ** percent of respondents had a very favorable opinion of the Congresswoman.
