    Description

    The Aerial Photography Single Frame Records collection is a large and diverse group of imagery acquired by Federal organizations from 1937 to the present. Over 6.4 million frames of photographic images are available for download as medium and high resolution digital products. The high resolution data provide access to photogrammetric quality scans of aerial photographs with sufficient resolution to reveal landscape detail and to facilitate the interpretability of landscape features. Coverage is predominantly over the United States and includes portions of Central America and Puerto Rico. Individual photographs vary in scale, size, film type, quality, and coverage.

    Description

    Metadata and data derived from Ott Historical Photograph Collection. Clifford M. Ott donated this broad collection of historical photographs in 1992. Ott was an avid amateur photographer who amassed over 10,000 slides, prints, and negatives spanning the years from 1883 to 1990. The digital collection represents a selection from Ott's whole collection, which he compiled into eleven albums containing a total of over 1,800 images of Moscow and surrounding Latah County and used to educate local citizens.

    Description

    The National High Altitude Photography (NHAP) program, which was operated from 1980 - 1989, was coordinated by the U.S. Geological Survey as an interagency project to eliminate duplicate photography in various Government programs. The aim of the program was to cover the 48 conterminous states of the USA over a 5-year span. In the NHAP program, black-and-white and color-infrared aerial photographs were obtained on 9-inch film from an altitude of 40,000 feet above mean terrain elevation and are centered over USGS 7.5-minute quadrangles. The color-infrared photographs are at a scale of 1:58,000 (1 inch equals about .9 miles) and the black-and-white photographs are at a scale of 1:80,000 (1 inch equals about 1.26 miles).

    Description

    A large collection of photographs taken by photographer, Richard Woldendorp, including a wide variety of images of people, buildings, places, industries, sport and entertainment in Western Australia.The photographs were taken between 1958 - 2006. The images can be accessed via the urls provided in the data. Richard Woldendorp was born in Utrecht, The Netherlands in 1927 and migrated to Perth in 1951. His long association with photography began in 1955 when he purchased a camera for a trip back to The Netherlands. Woldendorp's fascination with photography and skill rapidly grew and in 1961 won first and third prizes in the Craven-A National Photographic competition. As a professional photographer Woldendorp was intrigued by Australia's landscapes with a special passion for aerial photography. In 1991 Woldendorp was made a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, then in 1998 was admitted as a Honorary Life Member to the Australian Commerical and Media Photographers (A.C.M.P.), then to the A.C.M.P. Hall of Fame. In 2004 Richard Woldendorp was named a Western Australian Living Treasure.

    This data set includes aerial photography of Barrow, Alaska, which has been geocorrected to a 2002 QuickBird satellite image or Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR) imagery. Photography included in the set is from these specific dates, from 1948 to 1997: 4 August 1948, 29 July 1949, 12-14 August 1955, 12-24 August 1962, 14 July 1964, 15 July 1979, 31 August 1984, and 16 July 1997.
