FY 2011 Digital Orthophotography (B089) Pinellas Co. Fl. under Purchace Order # 11POSOW020. Provide new high resolution 6" pixel four band stack RGBI digital orthophotos of approximately 460sq. miles in Pinellas Co., Fl. This project is a cooperative effort between SWFMD and Pinellas Co. New aerial digital photography will be taken with a Vexcel UltraCamX digital aerial sensor using 60% forward and 40% sidelap producing a 5.5inch raw pixel while covering 513 5000ft. x 5000ft. SWFWMD cells. Flights are to begin Dec. 1st, 2010 and be completed by Dec. 31st, 2010. Photography must be taken during 30degree sun angle and be free of smoke and clouds. Oblique photography will also be obtained to produce a 4inch pixel oblique product of the county. Final project deliverables will be in both NAD83 and NAD27. All work will be under the supervision of a licensed Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper. Orthophotos will meet or exceed a verified horizontal accuracy of 3.46ft. at the 95% confidence interval (2.0 feet RMSE) as specified in the FGDC standards. Thirty independent check points will be surveyed and used to verify accuracy. No correction for building lean is required.

description: This Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) LAS dataset is a topographic survey conducted for a coalition of GIS practitioners, including the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM), Florida Water Management Districts, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District, and other state and federal agencies. The goal for this project is to use the LiDAR data as new elevation inputs for updated SLOSH data grids. The ultimate result is the update of the Regional Hurricane Evacuation Studies (RHES) for the state. The State of Florida Division of Emergency Management LiDAR Survey was collected under the guidance of a Professional Mapper/Surveyor. This is a classified lidar data set, bare-earth points (class 2), noise points (class 7), water returns (class 9), and unclassified data (class 1). Class 12 contains LiDAR points removed from the overlap region between adjacent flight lines. The LiDAR data was flown at a density sufficient to support a maximum final post spacing of 4 feet for unobscured areas. This data set is a collection of smaller project areas collected at different times in southwest Florida. Specifically, the data were collected within portions of Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, Collier, and Monroe. In the original project 2 sections of Pasco county were used: data collection in 2004 as well as a small coastal section in 2008. These have been removed and designated as individual projects named 2004 Pasco - Classified and 2008 Coastal Pasco respectively. The dates of collection are: Project Area B: 20070706-20070810 Project Area C: 20070706-20070810 Project Area D: 20070717-20070729 Project Area E: 20070717-20070708 Project Area F: 20070618-20070806 Project Area G: 20070612-20070630, 20070702, 20070714, 20070804-20070805 Project Area H: 20070615-20070629 Lee Buy Up: 20070811-20070824 Sarasota Buy Up: 20070828-20070830 DEMs are available by request. Description

The raster is created from the finalized contour lines for May 2019, An estimated zero contour line is placed along the coast from Bay County to Pinellas County and along Volusia County. This contour aids in making a more reasonable surface along the coast, since water level values are less than the 10 foot contour interval shown on the contour map (see potentiometric contour map). Using the Topo to Raster tool, a 500 X 500 meter grid is created by using the May 2019 contour lines, the estimated zero contour line, estimated water value points along the Suwannee River and the May 2019 water level data. The interpolated elevation value in each cell is in feet mean sea level, datum NGVD29.
