Placer County Assessor Office maintains parcels for Placer County. The parcel data should not be considered survey accurate, but efforts are continually made to make the data as spatially accurate as possible. The data contains numerous fields, including, but not limites Assessor Parcel Number (APN), assess land and structure value, situs address, owner address. NOTE: Placer County does not distribute owner names assoctaed with parcekl via the web. This layer is part of a collection of public geospatial datasets produced by the Placer County GIS Division.

    Description

Vector polygon map data of sewer districts from Placer County, California containing 12 features.

A sewer district, also known as a sanitary district or wastewater district, is a local government agency responsible for managing and maintaining sewer systems within a specific geographical area. These districts are tasked with collecting and treating wastewater and sewage from homes, businesses, and industries to prevent pollution of waterways and protect public health.

Sewer districts typically oversee the construction, operation, and maintenance of sewer pipes, pump stations, treatment plants, and other infrastructure necessary for wastewater management. They may also implement regulations and programs to promote water conservation and pollution prevention within their jurisdiction.

This sewer district data is available for viewing and sharing as a map in a Koordinates map viewer. This data is also available for export to DWG for CAD, PDF, KML, CSV, and GIS data formats, including Shapefile, MapInfo, and Geodatabase.

    Description

These data are part of a larger USGS project to develop an updated geospatial database of mines, mineral deposits and mineral regions in the United States. Mine and prospect-related symbols, such as those used to represent prospect pits, mines, adits, dumps, tailings, etc., hereafter referred to as “mine” symbols or features, are currently being digitized on a state-by-state basis from the 7.5-minute (1:24,000-scale) and the 15-minute (1:48,000 and 1:62,500-scale) archive of the USGS Historical Topographic Maps Collection, or acquired from available databases (California and Nevada, 1:24,000-scale only). Compilation of these features is the first phase in capturing accurate locations and general information about features related to mineral resource exploration and extraction across the U.S. To date, the compilation of 500,000-plus point and polygon mine symbols from approximately 67,000 maps of 22 western states has been completed: Arizona (AZ), Arkansas (AR), California (CA), Colorado (CO), Idaho (ID), Iowa (IA), Kansas (KS), Louisiana (LA), Minnesota (MN), Missouri (MO), Montana (MT), North Dakota (ND), Nebraska (NE), New Mexico (NM), Nevada (NV), Oklahoma (OK), Oregon (OR), South Dakota (SD), Texas (TX), Utah (UT), Washington (WA), and Wyoming (WY). The process renders not only a more complete picture of exploration and mining in the western U.S., but an approximate time line of when these activities occurred. The data may be used for land use planning, assessing abandoned mine lands and mine-related environmental impacts, assessing the value of mineral resources from Federal, State and private lands, and mapping mineralized areas and systems for input into the land management process. The data are presented as three groups of layers based on the scale of the source maps. No reconciliation between the data groups was done.

2020 Census Tract Demographics for Placer County.Decennial Census 2020 includes tabulations of housing units, total population and adult population by race and by Hispanic or Latino origin, and total group quarters population. Data are summary statistics for population and housing from a "100% count." The Census Bureau attempts to survey or interview all known addresses. Geographies nationwide can be obtained from Census, with disaggregate geographic detail down to Block-level.The Decennial Census PL94-171 reports summary statistics on population and housing for use in redistricting. The Census Bureau attempts to survey or interview all known addresses. Still, the data are subject to error. The errors derive from survey data collection (response errors, field follow-up for missing cases) and processing by the Census Bureau (geolocation of population and housing, data coding, compilation processes, and imputation of missing cases).

    Description

This polygon shapefile contains areas of important farmland in Placer County, California for 2010. Important Farmland Maps show the relationship between the quality of soils for agricultural production and the land's use for agricultural, urban, or other purposes. A biennial map update cycle and notation system employed by FMMP captures conversion to urban land while accommodating rotational cycles in agricultural use. The minimum land use mapping unit is 10 acres unless specified. Smaller units of land are incorporated into the surrounding map classifications. In order to most accurately represent the NRCS digital soil survey, soil units of one acre or larger are depicted in Important Farmland Maps. For environmental review purposes, the categories of Prime Farmland, Farmland of Statewide Importance, Unique Farmland, Farmland of Local Importance, and Grazing Land constitute 'agricultural land' (Public Resources Code Section 21060.1). The remaining categories are used for reporting changes in land use as required for FMMP's biennial farmland conversion report. This layer is part of the 2010 California Farmland Mapping and Montoring Project.

    Description

Fifty-three types of surficial geologic deposits and residual materials of Quaternary age are described in a pamphlet and located on a map of the greater Pueblo area, in part of the Front Range, in the Wet and Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and on the plains east of Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Deposits formed by landslides, wind, and glaciers, as well as colluvium, residuum, alluvium, and others are described in terms of predominant grain size, mineral or rock composition (e.g., gypsiferous, calcareous, granitic, andesitic), thickness, and other physical characteristics. Origins and ages of the deposits and geologic hazards related to them are noted. Many lines drawn between units on our map were placed by generalizing contacts on published maps. However, in 1997-1999 we mapped new boundaries as well. The map was projected to the UTM projection. This large map area extends from near Salida (on the west edge), eastward about 107 mi (172 km), and from Antero Reservoir and Woodland Park on the north edge to near Colorado City at the south edge (68 mi; 109 km).

High Density LiDAR was flown for the majority of the Tahoe National Forest over two seasons (early snow fall in 2013 required a seasonal pause in the acquisition) to help inform a variety of metrics for USFS assessments including vegetation, fuels, hydrology, and geology.

This dataset includes data collected in the 2014 season. For 2013 data, click here.
Note: One flight swath was missed during the 2013 collection campaign, resulting in a lower point density in that area. The swath was flown in 2014, but is included in neither this nor the 2013 data provided through OpenTopography's services. This map depicts the geology of the Fortuna 7 ' Quadrangle and about 2.5 square miles of the northern end of the Gila Mountains that is in the adjacent Laguna Dam, Dome, and Ligurta 7 ' Quadrangles. The map area encompasses the northwestern Gila Mountains and the broad Gila River valley between the northern Gila Mountains and Yuma, in the southwestern corner of Arizona. The quadrangle covers bedrock in the northwestern Gila Mountains, much of the western piedmont at the foot of the northwestern Gila Mountains, and alluvial sediments deposited by the Gila and Colorado Rivers. Large, active gravel quarries, and the historic Dome placer gold district, are within the map area at the foot of the Gila Mountains. This mapping was completed under the joint State-Federal STATEMAP program, as specified in the National Geologic Mapping Act of 1992.
