Context
The dataset tabulates the Excel population distribution across 18 age groups. It lists the population in each age group along with the percentage population relative of the total population for Excel. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population distribution of Excel by age. For example, using this dataset, we can identify the largest age group in Excel.
Key observations
The largest age group in Excel, AL was for the group of age 45 to 49 years years with a population of 74 (15.64%), according to the ACS 2018-2022 5-Year Estimates. At the same time, the smallest age group in Excel, AL was the 85 years and over years with a population of 2 (0.42%). This excel contains results from the 2017 State of Narragansett Bay and Its Watershed Technical Report (nbep.org), Chapter 4: "Population." The methods for analyzing population were developed by the US Environmental Protection Agency ORD Atlantic Coastal Environmental Sciences Division in collaboration with the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program and other partners. Population rasters were generated using the USGS dasymetric mapping tool (see http://geography.wr.usgs.gov/science/dasymetric/index.htm) which uses land use data to distribute population data more accurately than simply within a census mapping unit. The 1990, 2000, and 2010 10m cell population density rasters were produced using Rhode Island state land use data, Massachusetts state land use, Connecticut NLCD land use data, and U.S. Census data. To generate a population estimate (number of persons) for any given area within the boundaries of this raster, NBEP used the the Zonal Statistics as Table tool to sum the 10m cell density values within a given zone dataset (e.g., watershed polygon layer). Results presented include population estimates (1990, 2000, 2010) as well as calculation of percent change (1990-2000;2000-2010;1990-2010).

Enetwild consortium developed a data standard on wildlife monitoring data to aggregate raw data such as occurrences, drive hunt hunting bags, distance sampling data, or aggregated or estimated data such as density estimates, summarized hunting bags, probability of presence. This standard is based on the Darwin Core standard, using the Event core, the Occurrence extension, the extended measurement or fact extension. We proposed to extend the measurement or fact extension to allow them to be nested among themselves for recording confidence intervals and precision information. We offer the possibility to nest occurrences within each other as well. We propose controlled vocabularies in relation to statistical information, in both data and metadata. In addition to a single metadata sheet, this Excel file proposes two ways to enter a dataset. The first option is to record events, occurrences, and measurements in different sheets, which is similar to the option proposed by GBIF in its Integrated Publishing Toolkit. The second option is to record events, occurrences and measurements in a single sheet (data_AllInOne) with the help of conditional formatting, working on the most recent version of Excel.
This is in line with the EFSA data model harmonisation under the SIGMA project.

EN: The dataset is based on tables with detailed data for municipalities and boroughs of the population census and the occupational census of the Netherlands 1947. These detailed tables from the archive of Statistics Netherlands never have been published.
They are written on so-called ‘transparanten’, sheets in A4-format. The set contains more than 35 table-types, some of which spread over two or more sheets, some combined on one sheet.
Image scans of the detailed tables have been made in February 2005. Those scans, 29489 in total were published on www.volkstellingen.nl, ordered by province and municipality. In a later stage the scans have been converted by data-entry to Excel worksheets. In most cases one scan has been converted to one Excel file. However, if a scan contains two or more tables, a separate Excel file is made for each table. The Excel files also have been converted to CSV-text files.
The thematic collection: 12th Population Census 31 May 1947 contains 11 datasets for the provinces plus one dataset for the Netherlands as a whole. The documentation for any dataset in the collection contains a description of the contents of all table-types and the instruction given for data-entry.
This dataset regards the files of the province Zeeland. The files are grouped by municipality. General files for the province Zeeland are contained in the dataset for the Netherlands as a whole.
The metadata per file (details) contains the table number. An overview of table numbers by file is contained in ‘Table number per scan_Zeeland.csv’. This applies for the scans as well as the Excel files and the CSV-text files. The file 'Titles of Tables' shows the table numbers with the corresponding titles of the tables.

Nigeria has the largest population in Africa. As of 2025, the country counted over 237.5 million individuals, whereas Ethiopia, which ranked second, has around 135.5 million inhabitants. Egypt registered the largest population in North Africa, reaching nearly 118.4 million people. In terms of inhabitants per square kilometer, Nigeria only ranked seventh, while Mauritius had the highest population density on the whole African continent in 2023. The fastest-growing world region Africa is the second most populous continent in the world, after Asia. Nevertheless, Africa records the highest growth rate worldwide, with figures rising by over two percent every year. In some countries, such as Niger, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Chad, the population increase peaks at over three percent. With so many births, Africa is also the youngest continent in the world. However, this coincides with a low life expectancy. African cities on the rise The last decades have seen high urbanization rates in Asia, mainly in China and India. However, African cities are currently growing at larger rates. Indeed, most of the fastest-growing cities in the world are located in Sub-Saharan Africa. Gwagwalada, in Nigeria, and Kabinda, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, ranked first worldwide. By 2035, instead, Africa's fastest-growing cities are forecast to be Bujumbura, in Burundi, and Zinder, Nigeria.

The Bureau of the Census has released Census 2000 Summary File 1 (SF1) 100-Percent data. The file includes the following population items: sex, age, race, Hispanic or Latino origin, household relationship, and household and family characteristics. Housing items include occupancy status and tenure (whether the unit is owner or renter occupied). SF1 does not include information on incomes, poverty status, overcrowded housing or age of housing. These topics will be covered in Summary File 3. Data are available for states, counties, county subdivisions, places, census tracts, block groups, and, where applicable, American Indian and Alaskan Native Areas and Hawaiian Home Lands. The SF1 data are available on the Bureau's web site and may be retrieved from American FactFinder as tables, lists, or maps. Users may also download a set of compressed ASCII files for each state via the Bureau's FTP server. There are over 8000 data items available for each geographic area. The full listing of these data items is available here as a downloadable compressed data base file named TABLES.ZIP. The uncompressed is in FoxPro data base file (dbf) format and may be imported to ACCESS, EXCEL, and other software formats. While all of this information is useful, the Office of Community Planning and Development has downloaded selected information for all states and areas and is making this information available on the CPD web pages. The tables and data items selected are those items used in the CDBG and HOME allocation formulas plus topics most pertinent to the Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy (CHAS), the Consolidated Plan, and similar overall economic and community development plans. The information is contained in five compressed (zipped) dbf tables for each state. When uncompressed the tables are ready for use with FoxPro and they can be imported into ACCESS, EXCEL, and other spreadsheet, GIS and database software. The data are at the block group summary level. The first two characters of the file name are the state abbreviation. The next two letters are BG for block group. Each record is labeled with the code and name of the city and county in which it is located so that the data can be summarized to higher-level geography. The last part of the file name describes the contents . The GEO file contains standard Census Bureau geographic identifiers for each block group, such as the metropolitan area code and congressional district code. The only data included in this table is total population and total housing units. POP1 and POP2 contain selected population variables and selected housing items are in the HU file. The MA05 table data is only for use by State CDBG grantees for the reporting of the racial composition of beneficiaries of Area Benefit activities. The complete package for a state consists of the dictionary file named TABLES, and the five data files for the state. The logical record number (LOGRECNO) links the records across tables.

Excel Age-Range creator for Office for National Statistics (ONS) Mid year population estimates (MYE) covering each year between 1999 and 2016
These files take into account the revised estimates for 2002-2010 released in April 2013 down to Local Authority level and the post 2011 estimates based on the Census results. Scotland and Northern Ireland data has not been revised, so Great Britain and United Kingdom totals comprise the original data for these plus revised England and Wales figures.
This Excel based tool enables users to query the single year of age raw data so that any age range can easily be calculated without having to carry out often complex, and time consuming formulas that could also be open to human error. Simply select the lower and upper age range for both males and females and the spreadsheet will return the total population for the range. Please adhere to the terms and conditions of supply contained within the file.
Tip: You can copy and paste the rows you are interested in to another worksheet by using the filters at the top of the columns and then select all by pressing Ctrl+A. Then simply copy and paste the cells to a new location.

Ward Level Population estimates
Single year of age population tool for 2002 to 2015 for all wards in London.
New 2014 Ward boundary estimates
Ward boundary changes in May 2014 only affected three London boroughs - Hackney, Kensington and Chelsea, and Tower Hamlets. The estimates between 2001-2013 have been calculated by the GLA by taking the proportion of a the old ward that falls within the new ward based on the proportion of population living in each area at the 2011 Census. Therefore, these estimates are purely indicative and are not official statistics and not endorsed by ONS. From 2014 onwards, ONS began publishing official estimates for the new ward boundaries.

"The Statistical Abstract of the United States, published since 1878, is the standard summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. It is designed to serve as a convenient volume for statistical reference and as a guide to other statistical publications and sources. The latter function is served by the introductory text to each section, the source note appearing below each table, and Appendix I, which comprises the Guide to Sources of Statisti cs, the Guide to State Statistical Abstracts, and the Guide to Foreign Statistical Abstracts. The Statistical Abstract sections and tables are compiled into one Adobe PDF named StatAbstract2009.pdf. This PDF is bookmarked by section and by table and can be searched using the Acrobat Search feature. The Statistical Abstract on CD-ROM is best viewed using Adobe Acrobat 5, or any subsequent version of Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. The Statistical Abstract tables and the metropolitan areas tables from Appendix II are available as Excel(.xls or .xlw) spreadsheets. In most cases, these spreadsheet files offer the user direct access to more data than are shown either in the publication or Adobe Acrobat. These files usually contain more years of data, more geographic areas, and/or more categories of subjects than those shown in the Acrobat version. The extensive selection of statistics is provided for the United States, with selected data for regions, divisions, states, metropolitan areas, cities, and foreign countries from reports and records of government and private agencies. Software on the disc can be used to perform full-text searches, view official statistics, open tables as Lotus worksheets or Excel workbooks, and link directly to source agencies and organizations for supporting information. Except as indicated, figures are for the United States as presently constituted. Although emphasis in the Statistical Abstract is primarily given to national data, many tables present data for regions and individual states and a smaller number for metropolitan areas and cities.Statistics for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and for island areas of the United States are included in many state tables and are supplemented by information in Section 29. Additional information for states, cities, counties, metropolitan areas, and other small units, as well as more historical data are available in various supplements to the Abstract. Statistics in this edition are generally for the most recent year or period available by summer 2006. Each year over 1,400 tables and charts are reviewed and evaluated; new tables and charts of current interest are added, continuing series are updated, and less timely data are condensed or eliminated. Text notes and appendices are revised as appropriate. This year we have introduced 72 new tables covering a wide range of subject areas. These cover a variety of topics including: learning disability for children, people impacted by the hurricanes in the Gulf Coast area, employees with alternative work arrangements, adult computer and Internet users by selected characteristics, North America cruise industry, women- and minority-owned businesses, and the percentage of the adult population considered to be obese. Some of the annually surveyed topics are population; vital statistics; health and nutrition; education; law enforcement, courts and prison; geography and environment; elections; state and local government; federal government finances and employment; national defense and veterans affairs; social insurance and human services; labor force, employment, and earnings; income, expenditures, and wealth; prices; business enterprise; science and technology; agriculture; natural resources; energy; construction and housing; manufactures; domestic trade and services; transportation; information and communication; banking, finance, and insurance; arts, entertainment, and recreation; accommodation, food services, and other services; foreign commerce and aid; outlying areas; and comparative international statistics." This Excel spreadsheet is the primary output from the "county controls" development process. It includes forecasts of overall population for counties in the MORPC 15-county region in five-year intervals in the forecast horizon, as well as forecasts of housing, jobs, workers, and other variables related to these. It is updated approximately every four years in conjunction with updates to the Metropolitan Transportation Plan land use model (1), however it is also made available to the public as a standalone resource via the MORPC Population Hub (2). Referring to the MORPC Data User Personas (3), it includes summary tables intended for use by Engaged Elaine, Decisive Delaney, and Hopeful Hadiya, and a machine-readable long-form table intended for use by Savvy Sonja, Specialist Samir, and Coding Corey. The forecasts are produced using a proprietary time series model using historical population data from the U.S. Census Population Estimates Program (4) and various sources of contemporary data. A detailed methods document has not been released as of March 2023, however more information is available upon request.(1) MORPC Metropolitan Transportation Plan Appendix A: Future Land Use, p. v, https://www.morpc.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/A_LandUse.pdf(2) MORPC Population Resource Hub: County Forecasts, https://www.morpc.org/popforecast(3) MORPC Data User Personas, https://www.morpc.org/tool-resource/data-user-personas/(4) Population Estimates Program, U.S. Census, https://www.census.gov/programs-surveys/popest.html
